Well…the Manchester derby is on right now and that screws up my schedule for the whole day…and we just got going so I won’t be able to get on the bike until 9:30 or so…might make it a 1 ride day since I want to make soup this morning and after the heavy snow shoveling yesterday, I can afford to take an easy day…and I only had one meal yesterday so I’m good on calories…I guess I could do a 2nd ride after lunch but I don’t think I want to…okay, going to watch the match…more later…
January 17th
Well…I really think we have the BP thing figured out since it never got out of the teens yesterday and today it’s keeping that pattern with the first reading of 111/70…and I’ll take that all day long…up at 3:05 then out of bed at 5:30 and I am going to stop bitching about that since it gets my day started and I’ll finish by 9 am or so…I do need to clean today and I’m going to work on the living room today…going to make potato soup this morning to use the potatoes that are starting to sprout…didn’t eat much yesterday so I’ll have to try to do better today…it is going to be a brutal cold for the next two weeks with highs in the teens and lows in the single figures and I wonder what my gas bill is going to be…I haven’t looked at it since I signed up for autopay 4 years ago and I wonder it I should just ignore it…it snowed another 3 inches of snow overnight and we’re supposed to get 3 more today…not as sore as I expected this morning but we’re not into the 2 day pain window yet…not much to do today…just going to do the normal stuff and make soup and then the rest of the day belongs to me…more later…
The big problem with not tasting food…
Well…as you know, one of my worries with not being able to taste food is that I’ll eat something that is spoiled and won’t know it…and it happened yesterday with a gallon of milk…I poured myself a glass to have with lunch and when I got to the bottom of the glass there were chunks in it meaning it was spoiled and I didn’t taste a bit of it…so now I’m going to have to figure out what I can do to protect myself from that…it has already snowed about 6 inches out here and we have another 4-5 hours of snow coming so we may just get to a foot of snow for the day…ick…and it’s going to snow every day for the next two weeks so we’ll be buried…and I’ll be shoveling…a lot…more later…
January 16th
Well…up a little before 5 but I didn’t give up and stayed in bed til almost 5:30 but that doesn’t seem like a victory to me…sleep has been pretty illusive lately and I’m paying for it by being in a fog all the time…I’ve had these weird pains everywhere and I sure can’t figure out how I hurt myself…maybe sleeping but that’s a little strange to me…oh, well…the little bit of restoration of my sense of taste has ended and now I can’t taste anything again…and it is so bad that I drank sour milk yesterday and couldn’t tell until I saw the chunks in the bottom of the glass and that just sucks…going to have to get some cleaning done today since this place is just looking shabby and I can’t live with that…I do have 5 books to read and will start a new one today after I get the weight work and rides in…the coffee needs to work now…not much to do today…need to do laundry and I may make potato soup but that seems like a lot of work right now…more later…

Well…damn it was cold today and barely got over 20 for the high but it didn’t snow but we have a winter weather advisory on and it is going to snow every day for the next week with about 15 inches in the forecast…you know I write on my laptop a lot…so much that I have worn the N off and now the D and B are starting to go…and it just hit me to check to see if I can get some stick on letter and I can get enough of them to do the keyboard twice for less than 6 bucks…so I’m going to order some tomorrow…I did get out for books today so I don’t have to go anywhere until Tuesday…so now it’s time to watch the Chili Bowl midget races…and read…

Well…the idiot trump really thought he could invade and take Greenland with just a few troops but Europe is not going to allow that…both Europe and the UK have started to send troops there to protect it from the idiot trump…so idiot boy has made the US just like Russia by his bullshit blustering about Greenland and we are going to have a war unless the commanders of the armed forces say no to him when he gives the illegal orders…but the Army and the rest have been infiltrated by fascists so they will probably go along with it…and now the US ambassador to Iceland just told them they should get ready to be the 52nd US state…what the hell is up with these assholes? Why do they have this fixation on taking sovereign countries just like frickin Hitler did…and idiot boy announced yesterday that he is running Venezuela and is their temporary president….god, we are going to have a huge cleanup to do after these assholes are gone…geez…

Well…up again in a time that starts with a 5 and that keeps the string going that I don’t want to continue…feel so damn worn out and I need to go out to shovel the snow and make a run to the library but that seems like way too much work right now…maybe the coffee will help with that….it’s only 17 degrees out there and it’s going to be colder than hell for the next week or so and I just want the winter to be over…I really should get some cleaning done today since I haven’t done any in weeks and this place is looking like it…everything needs work but I think I’ll start small like doing the bathroom or maybe the couch…I do need to figure out when I’m going to make potato soup but that will probably wait til Saturday…I thought my sense of taste was coming back but it was just a false alarm and my tongue is back to being numb…oh, well…not much to do today…just need to get the normal stuff done and need to get on it right now at 6am…more later…
Got some deals today…
Well…got some pretty good deals from Daily Deals this morning and I’m grinning from it and other things…I mean Triscuits for 99 cents a box when they are over 4 bucks a box at Meijer…so I bought 4 of them since it has been years since I had those…so I will be having a snack later…oh, and thin sliced roasted turkey breast for 1.29 a pound and they are name brand food…have to make to room in the freezer for the two pounds I bought…pretty cool…oh, the other thing…just got a letter from my bank that had my credit score in it…and it’s better than I thought…823…and that is close to the best it’s ever been…and that’s pretty cool, too…okay…need to read again…
No state immunity..
Well…with the spin machine of trump and his cronies going into high gear and every part of the idiot trumps government engaged in trying to cover up the murder of Renee Good, including the DOJ that is not even going to investigate the murder, let’s all remember that this asshole who shot her doesn’t have immunity against state murder charges and in Minnesota, there is no statute of limitations on murder…and when the state brings charges, the murderer can’t be protected or pardoned by idiot boy…these should include civil rights violations but the idiot has ordered his DOJ to not even think about charging anyone in ICE with them…just yesterday, ICE attacked protesting high school students who were using their 1st amendment right to protest almost killing one young man and shooting one of his eyes out…the states have to get off their butts and start charging these thugs or they will continue to attack Americans and cause great harm….geez…

Well…up at 5:40 this morning and I feel like I’m running late since I have to get the weight work and one ride in before I head out for the grocery run…up and down all night last night and today just might be the day I take a nap in the afternoon…yeah, that made me laugh too…I haven’t been able to nap for years now and I really don’t think that is going to change today…need to make some potato soup to use up the potatoes before they go bad but I’m not sure if that will be today or tomorrow…have to hit DD to get some triscuits for 99 cents a box…they are 4 bucks a box at Meijers so that’s a pretty good deal…we’re supposed to get 4 inches of snow Friday so I need to hit the library tomorrow since I’m down to the last book and will finish it before then…not much to do today…I should clean some and I might but right now I just need to get moving and get the day started…more later…
