Well…after the good news yesterday, I vowed to myself that I was going to go out to the beach to make up for cutting my swim time short to come home and see the results of the tests…so, of course, I did wake up a little happier today and got right into the rides at 6:30am…then did the grocery run, and then out to the beach by 10:30am…where I stayed until noon or so since I really did have to get cleaning and I did…have the dining room cleaned and will work on the kitchen tomorrow and should be able to finish that but I do want to clean the car since it is coated with dust it’s been so dry up here…so it will be two rides and then clean the car…and I do need to hit the library to get more books after the car is done…and I need to remember to just use a little of the car wash soap since I used about 5 times more than I should have last time…not sure if I’ll wax it again but I probably will since it only takes about 10 minutes to do…and I do have new wheel/tire cleaner that I want to try…okay…need to read a bit before tv…

Well…let’s talk about the ICE expansion in the big ugly bill that the repubs rammed through with no dem votes…thye are going to be given 45 billion dollars to build new detention centers (concentration camps) across the country…guess how much they have for affordable housing…12 billion dollars…yep and this ugly bill takes food assistance from 270,000 veterans…all to give tax breaks to billionaires…and those tax breaks are only going to the rich…for example, in Maine those making over 800K per year will get a 34,000 dollar tax cut…while the poorest Mainers will get 30 bucks…hmmm…does that seem fair to you? Is that equal as the repubs continue to lie about? Oh, and let’s remember the epstein files and the fact that trump and his cronies are engaged in a huge coverup using the entire government to do it…and it’s not because there are dems in epstein’s client list…you know who was involved in sex with underage girls and his address is the WH….geez…
July 16th
Well…darn…up at 4:53 this morning and that is going to make for a long day today since I can’t take naps anymore…it was such a good day yesterday except for the crappy copy of “Superman” that I tried to watch last night but it had advertising type floating all over the screen and that was so damn annoying that I shut it off after a few minutes…I did grind some beans for today’s coffee and it just tastes so good I wonder why I don’t do that all the time? I have 6+ pounds of beans in the drawer and I haven’t even gone through the first bag I bought months ago…it’s going to be a little busy today with getting the first ride in then doing the grocery run…I do want to clean the car today since it is so dusty and filled with sand from the beach trips and I am going to do a full beach run since I cut yesterday short with the mychart notification…man, I have been so lucky with my health lately that I want to just relax and live for a bit…so I’ll have to haul ass so I can get to the beach by 10:30 or so…the math doesn’t work, though since I’ll still need to do the second ride after the grocery run and won’t be done with that til 10:30…maybe I’ll wait to clean the car til tomorrow? I did get started cleaning this place up and need to keep working on that later today…the kitchen needs work and I’ll clean the microwave today along with the sinks…I do still want to carve out some time to read so I can finish the last book and get a few more from the library but I’m going to cut back on that to get other things done around here…ha,ha…they have a 70% chance of storms tonight and I am laughing at that forecast…it just doesn’t rain here…more later…
Maga hates Superman…
Well…with the release of the new Superman movie, the maga assholes are going nuts because this superman admits he’s an “illegal immigrant” and believes in social justice and caring for people…and punching nazis in the face…and the contrast to maga and the idiot trump’s actions can’t be clearer…with maga the cruelty and mistreatment of people is the point and I could see the “alligator alcatraz” that ICE just built in Florida would have been the target of Superman since the start of the comic in 1938…and this caring for people has been a main theme from the start…and a superhero who actually protects the downtrodden? That’s too much for all of the maga assholes who are predicting the movie will fail and no one will want to see it…yeah, as always they are wrong since the movie has wracked up almost 150 million dollars since it opened only 4 days ago…doesn’t sound like failure to me…they just can’t stand that their maga hate is being exposed by this movie…and, of course, if the superhero tries to help people the movie must be “woke” as the maga assholes spew their nonsense…what the hell is wrong with these people who can’t have any empathy for anyone but white christian nationalists…no one else deserves protection they way they think…and it makes me smile that something as simple as a movie sets their hair on fire and exposes them…geez…
Just got the test results..
Well…just go the test results of the ultrasound and everything is pretty normal…no masses in the liver and no cirrosis…no gall stones and spleen is normal so I’ll bet the high billirubin IS from being dehydrated…so, it looks I’ll live for a few more months anyway…probably the best results I could have hoped for…yay! and I just got a call from my doctor’s office confirming that there are no problems and nothing to do but check the levels in November…yay, again! Lucky day for me…
July 15th
Well…damn, I’m sore today after all of the work yesterday but today will be a little easier after I get done with the rides and the periodontist appointment…I do need to get started cleaning and I may run over to menards to get some lawn food to feed my burned out lawn with the rain that is supposed to be coming in the next few days…darn, I hurt so much that I just took an ibuprofen for the first time in a long time…it looks like a break in the weather Thurs with highs in the 70’s and we really need some relief….and I need to get some home defense bug killer since I’m getting lots of spiders and other bugs in here and the old stuff I have has a broken sprayer and that’s annoying…and a gallon of spectracide is only 6 bucks at menards…so maybe I’ll skip the beach today so I can get the food on the lawn and get the fridge and dining room cleaned…might be a good day to play a little vinyl while I work….going to get a 2nd cup of coffee down before I head out on the bike and that is going to happen before 7am…more later…
A busy, busy day…
Well…I really hadn’t planned to have such a busy day today but it turned out it was…started out with getting the two rides in and then decided to hit the beach for a swim and the water was just perfect so I was in it for a good 45 minutes…then back here for lunch and then made potato salad and right after that, I decided to get the yard work done so I took the cover off the car, fired it up, and drove it around the block hitting the brakes hard to try to get some of the rust off the rotors and then mowed where the car sits…after getting the cover back on it, I decided to mow the rest of the lawn and trim some branches off the trees…after that, I did laundry and just put that away…then put the trash trolley out and now I need to do my teeth and make ice…no cocktails tonight with the periodontist appointment at 10 tomorrow morning…oh, I forgot, ran out to DD to get more braunschweiger and a package of black forest ham and a pound of kielbasa…so now I just want to have a few minutes to read…this has been a really busy day…
Fraud is okay if you’re a repub…
Well…I guess it’s now official…if you are a repub and commit fraud, there will be no charges and you may even get a medal…just last week the incompetent AG Pam Bondi (you remember her, she was the AG of Florida who threw out charges against trump university in exchange for a 30K campaign donation) threw out charges against a surgeon (a repub, of course) who stole 28,000 dollars worth of covid vaccine and destroyed it…while he was selling thousands of fake covid vaccination cards and injected children with saline so they would think they had a vaccine when their parents didn’t want them vaccinated….then we have the case of Michell Fiore, a former Nevada state rep who stole money that was supposed to go to a slain police officers family but she took it to buy herself plastic surgery…pardoned…or Scott Jenkins, a Virginia sheriff who took bribes to drop charges against people and to sell sheriff’s credentials…pardoned…so now we know…repubs don’t have to follow the law at all…geez…
July 14th
Well…another night of pretty good sleep with not waking up til 5:14 and the being able to get back to sleep until after the coffee maker got going…but that leaves me late to get going and won’t be on the bike til 7 or so…and I do want to get out to the beach this morning to see if the water is warm enough to swim…my right elbow is still painful today and I’m not sure if it’s comforting or not that it’s the moving tendonitis that I’ve had for years…I do need to clean today and the goal will be to get the dining room done…we are under an air quality alert today and it has been on here for days now and I wonder if I’ll feel it on the bike this morning? I do need to mow the lawn to even it out this week but it’s basically dead…I’ll move the old car and probably drive it around the block just to get everything moving again…damn I need to sell it…or give it away….not much to do today…just need to get off my ass and get things done after the beach run and have 15 minutes before I need to get on the bike…more later…
An easy day…
Well…yeah, I know I should have been cleaning today but I just didn’t feel like it…so all I did was take an easy day and read after the rides…and watch races…the rides were good ones today and my right knee didn’t hurt at all as it has for the past two months…the damn motorcycle rally starts tomorrow and goes for a week with nothing but noise all the time…and we already have enough noise up here as it is…have the damn moving tendonitis that has settled in my right elbow that hurts like crazy when I use the weights or even lifting my water bottle…oh, well…I think I’ll hit it with some voltaren in a bit…I am going to go to the beach tomorrow but I’ll make it early and be back here to clean by noon or so…hope the lake has warmed up so I can swim again…okay, want to read a bit so I’ll stop here…
