Well…damn after the second day in a row to doing nothing, I declare myself officially a slug…I did get three rides in and did the weight work but that was it for the day since I had leftovers and didn’t even have to cook….but I will clean some tomorrow to keep up prepping the dining room for sanding and painting…and I have to take all the scotch tape off the walls that is everywhere from the previous owners….we did lose a lot more snow here with it being over freezing today but my yard has no bare spots yet…still over 6 inches of snow out there and it is going to get cold again so we’ll probably have snow here until spring…I’m finally healing up from the shoveling from two weeks ago but most of the pain is gone…it’s supposed to snow a little bit tomorrow and maybe some freezing rain but that will end before I have to get out Monday morning…it doesn’t look like I’ll get the books done before Monday so I’ll have to go Tuesday…okay, need to get ready for the night…

Well…”I didn’t think they were going to do that..” was the refrain from all of the red state moochers when their god king threatened to cut off all federal money to the states…after all the states that went heavy for trump are all takers with up to 50% of the state budgets being subsidized by blue states…yeah, you heard that right…those of us in blue states pay for budgets of every damn red state so they can cut taxes for the rich that live there…in Michigan we send 2 dollars to the feds for every dollar we get back in services and the same goes for every reliably blue state…and the hypocrite repub governors were all working behind the scenes to keep the money flowing while their public statements were all in support of idiot boy and his cuts…but we all know they are a bunch of lying hypocrites and have know that for a long time…geez…
February 1st
Well…up at damn 5:09 this morning and I am so worn out…again…I did grind some beans for my coffee today but ran it through my drip coffee maker instead of my pour over and it is just as good so I’ll remember that for the future…slept okay last night but I was lazy yesterday so I need to get on the bike here in a few minutes to get three rides in before 10…going to get to 1,000 miles in Feb and that has never happened before…man, I just want to melt into the couch and watch old movies but I won’t…I remember the days when I used to do that and one of these days I’m going to do that again…but today will be 470 days straight of riding bikes and I need to keep that going….it is pretty cool that the warm weather has melted a lot of the snow so when it starts up again I won’t have to throw it it over shoulder high snow piles…and it will snow more since it February in Michigan…but as every day goes by we get closer to spring and that will keep me going…and grinding through life….not much to do today…don’t have to cook for the next few days but I do have the dr appointment Monday so today will be the last day of coffee before then….and I want to keep cleaning this place up and I’m going to try to finish the third book before Monday so that will give me something to do….more later….

Well…after I got to 708 miles for the month this morning, I decided to take the day off after that…really the only thing I got done was cleaning up the dining room and putting away my really heavy winter clothes that were covering every chair…so I decided to read all afternoon and finished the second book…will try to get the third one done by Monday so I can get more at the library…going to have to figure out something to cook after tomorrow and I’ll probably do the Alfredo I’ve been thinking about…that’s really easy and the batch should last at least two, maybe three days…and then I have a stir fry to make and I died take a container of ham soup out of the freezer so maybe the Alfredo will wait until next week…who knows? Okay…going to pour myself a cocktail and watch some tv…

Well…a couple of weeks back I told you to get ready for food inflation under the moron in chiefs tariff schemes and it’s starting next week as he slaps a 25% tariff on all imports from Mexico…and guess what Mexico supplies to the US? Just 63% of vegetable imports and 47% of the fruit and nut imports…so immediately you’re going to pay more for the food that idiot boy lied that he would bring down prices…and that was the prime thing that the maga morons gave for the reason they voted for the idiot…and now both Mexico and Canada are going to be under the 25% tariff and the cost of lumber imported from Canada is going to go up by 25%…so now the cost of your 200k house is immediately 250K…gee that sounds like inflation to me…and both of these countries have promised to respond in kind so if you work for company that exports, I’d start looking for a new job…is this what you voted for maga morons? Geez…
January 31st
Well…I’m contemplating not getting going this morning and the prospect of that is kind of liberating…but you know me, I’ll drag my butt down and get on the bike in 20 minutes to be going by 7…maybe a 2 ride day today? I will make the 700 mile goal for the month after the first ride and I really should give my body a rest at some point…I did sleep okay last night and that is getting to be normal for me…haven’t had a toss and turn night in quite a while and I wonder what the heck I did to change it? Going to make pour over coffee tomorrow since I am skipping coffee Sunday and Monday with having a BP appointment Monday morning and I do need to do everything to get it lower….it’s just such a pain thinking about it all the time…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I do need to clean a bit today…it has been so nice to not have to shovel any damn snow for a week and it looks like no big storms for the next 10 days or so and that gets me 10 days closer to spring…and there is no really cold weather in that time, too…need to do the online check in for Monday’s doctor appointment today and pay the 5 buck copay this aft…but need more coffee and bike rides first…more later…
Not many doves today…
Well..with the warmer weather and the snow melting some, I only had a few doves on the feeder and very few other birds, too…kinda strange since most of the grass is still covered by snow since we had so much of it…at least that will save me some money…I am going to get to 700 miles for the month tomorrow and I am sitting at 692 with the rides today…and that really is enough…I only took two two ride days this month so I guess I can take it a little easier…the potato soup I made last week went bad today and I had to throw a bowl of it away it smelled so bad when I opened the container…so I had to have the chili dogs for a quick meal but my sense of taste is going away again and I could barely taste them and that sucks…and I had just opened a new tube of saltines and don’t want to waste them by letting them go stale so I took a container of ham soup out of the freezer to have Sunday when it thaws…didn’t get a lot done today but didn’t need to with getting the laundry done yesterday…I could have cleaned and I am going to tart on the trim in the dining room that needs to be sanded before I can paint…once I get back in the groove of working on the house, maybe I can get the dining room painted before summer…we’ll see…more reading now…

Well…there are a lot of stupid Latinos in this country who voted for the idiot trump and now see their friends and families being rounded up and deported and now they are wailing “that’s not what we voted for”…ha, ha, ha…idiot boy’s whole campaign was that he was going to deport 12 million “illegals” and has plans to build a concentration camp at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba that will hold 30,000 people…who the hell did these stupid voters think were going to end up in these camps? At every damn speech he gave the overriding theme was hatred for immigrants…so why would anyone think he wouldn’t deport every brown person in the US…even legal immigrants and even a big group of veterans who served this country in the military…and this stupidity was not limited to Latinos…the chair of the Arabs for trump is whining that idiot boy has now supported pushing all Palestinians out of Gaza and relocating them somewhere…and he said exactly the same thing: “that’s not what we voted for”…stupid , stupid people…they are getting just what they deserve…geez…
January 30th
Well…darn, only 24 minutes before I need to get on the bike and this pushing all the time is wearing me out…or it could be that life in general is wearing me out…it looks like I’ll get to 700 miles for the month tomorrow and the string of riding every day is still going…497 days in a row isn’t bad for an old guy…I wonder why I’ve stopped having dreams? It’s been months since I’ve had any but I’ve been sleeping okay so that is a puzzle…oh, well…didn’t get much done yesterday so I’ll have to get something done today…what that is I don’t know but something…it’s going to be in the 40’s for the last day today and then back in the 20’s but we’ve lost a lot of the snow over the past few days an I’ll take it…and there isn’t any big snow in the forecast for the next 10 days so I’m going to put my shoveling clothes away for a while…still don’t have to cook today but I do need to start planning what needs to come out of the freezer for the weekend…not much to do today…10 minutes until the bike rides need to start but I’ve only had one cup of coffee and I’m not sure if that’s enough…no, it’s not but I’ll drag myself down soon…more later…
A nice day…
Well…it’s been a nice day out here today and it’s been sunny almost all day so that means we lost a lot of snow…I did get a mini grocery run done today and won’t have to go out again for a couple of weeks and I don’t mind that at all…I did get the laundry done but not much else since the library books have been calling my name…and I’m going right back to that after I finish this…we have one more day of relatively warm weather so more of the snow will be gone but we still have inches of ice on the roads up here but I hope the next three days of freezing will help that…still won’t need to cook for a few days but then it will be alfredo and stir fry along with some chili dogs…I bought 4 cans of chili since they were less than half price…can you believe that a 16 oz can of Hormel is 3.19 regular price…but I got them for 1.39 and I thought that was a deal…and that is the no bean chili that has lots more burger in it…now I’m going to read a little and plan what cleaning I’m going to do tomorrow…
