Well…with the Lions losing their playoff game last night, it added to the 67 years of disappointment they have given me since I was 5 years old…and they will probably not get to the super bowl let alone win it in my lifetime…oh, well…I’m over it already…I did just go out to fill the bird feeder and it is COLD at 13 degrees…and it’s not going to get out of single digits night or day until Wed…the snow has started and that is going to continue for a few days with the possibility of getting 6-8 more inches…not sure if I’m going out to shovel tomorrow…maybe if I can find my face mask hat but it will probably take me two shifts every time since there is no way the boots or gloves will stand up to 4 degrees for a high…I am looking for a political one to do later and I’ll find one even if it has to be a re-run…more later….

Well…man, I feel crappy again today and I sure don’t want to get on the bike at all….just so damn tired and I think this will have to be an eating day since all I had yesterday was a bowl of Masala and half a chicken breast in a stir fry….so I’ll have the second half of the chicken breast for lunch and maybe make some potato soup later today…or ham but who knows? The cold weather is already here and it’s only 15 degrees out there and will continue to drop all day into the single digits overnight and into the next two days…ick…got my house insurance bill yesterday and it went up by 50 bucks a year but my house went up in value so I guess that’s to be expected…man, I have almost 2 grand in cash going out in Feb with house taxes and insurance and that will set me back a bit…had gotten to over 43 grand in the bank but that won’t grow for a while…still, I’m pretty comfortable and even if I can find a car and spend 10 grand, I’ll still be over 30 grand and I can live with that..need to get off my butt and find a car before spring…not much to do today…only have 20 minutes before I need to get on the bike before 7 but I may make this a two ride day since I need some rest…over 400 miles already this month but I need to get to 700 so I’ll have to keep going even though I don’t want to…oh, well…more later…

Well…when I was on the bike this morning, I had an idea with the really cold weather we’re getting starting tomorrow…the car just doesn’t have enough excess power to start when it gets down around zero so I have charged up my battery jump box but the thought came to me that I can heat the garage just by turning all three burners on the grill and closing the doors…it only has to get up to about 20 in there and the car should start right up and I’ll open the trunk so the warm air can get to the battery…it is so nice to have a work around and be able to stop thinking about the cold…I really don’t have to go anywhere until late next week and it will be back up in the 20’s by then so no big deal…pretty cool…

Well…it’s a bit after noon and I am really leaning toward taking the rest of the day off after getting three rides in and making the stir fry for lunch…I do need to feed the birds here in a minute and I really should clean the stovetop and I may…and I’ll look for a political topic for later…the Lions play tonight and I’ll start watching that but won’t get through the entire game since it doesn’t start until 8:20 and that is a bit late for me…still pretty worn out even with getting three rides in so I’ll shift into half slow mode for a while and take it easy…but first the birds…more later…

Well…damn, I only have 23 minutes before I have to get on the bike and I wonder how much longer I can keep it up? Just poured the first cup of coffee and I’ll get at least one cup down before I need to get going…slept okay last night but I am just so worn out today that I may need to shift into go slow mode to survive it…the weather is going to go to hell later today with the winter weather advisory that is on and we may get 6-8 inches of snow over the next two days as the temp plunges down into the single digits for highs and I’ll be in full thermasuit to go out and shovel…I have enough groceries so I don’t have to go anywhere til Thursday of next week…the wind was howling out here all day yesterday and that is supposed to keep up until Wed…and these next few days will be the coldest since I’ve moved out here and I really do hope the power stays on…going to make some chicken/veggie stir fry today but I’m not sure what I’m going to make tomorrow…it’s looking like some potato soup or ham since my BP still sucks and nothing I do changes it…not much to do today…the Lions play tonight and I’m looking forward to that and the Mecum auction is on all day with some multi million dollar cars to be sold and I’ll have that on all day….more later…

Well…after being busy most of the week, today I decided to take it easier after getting the rides in this morning…still have the weight work to do right now but then I’ll be done…I did get the chance to read the rest of the James Patterson novel I started a couple of days ago and it was pretty good…and that gives me another author to look for at the book sale this fall…along with David Baldacci…do I feel like a slug for not cleaning…yep, but I can live with that…still don’t have to cook today but I am going to make chicken and veggie stir fry tomorrow using the bottle of stir fry sauce I got this week since Meijers didn’t have the packets I normally use…might get two meals out of that and I have enough chicken and veggies to make another batch to put over rice…and I have the ingredients of another batch of Masala in the fridge too but I think I’m going to make potato soup first to use up the potatoes that have started to sprout and the celery that has started to wilt…okay, I should go cut up some more celery and carrots for a snack for later…I did plug my jumper box in to make sure it’s charged up in case I need to start the car Monday or Tuesday in the single digit highs…

Well…out of bed a little before 6 this morning and I have no motivation to get moving but I know I have to get on the bike before 7…so that gives me 45 minutes to drink coffee and wake up and that should be enough…I was amazed that they plowed the streets up here again yesterday and that made it twice since Monday but I still feel bad for whining about it…didn’t have any pain in my gums yesterday after it was really bad Wed night and I can’t figure that out…the swelling is gone and everything is back to normal…I know I’ll take it but I still wonder what the heck it was…I did get the bathroom cleaned yesterday and need to do more today…the kitchen could use some work along with the dining room and I’ll probably work on them today….it didn’t get below freezing last night but we are going to see a crash in temps Sunday with the coldest weather since I’ve lived out here…0 or below Monday night so I won’t be going anywhere…not much to do today…don’t have to cook for a couple of days but then some stir fried chicken and veggies along with some more Masala to use the chicken I have thawed…more later….

Well…just finished shoveling the snow, cleaning the bathroom, and doing laundry and I am done for the day…Man U plays here in a few minutes so I’m going to take it easy for a bit…I did get the three rides in, too, but that is pretty much a given these days…I did try the pulled pork for lunch and it’s okay…nothing special but edible and I think it will grow on me as time goes on…nice to have some easy food…we must have gotten another 6 inches of snow last night and, with the wind, I had a 2 foot tall drift all along the front of my lots…and this was not the nice light fluffy snow we’ve been getting…it’s over 30 here right now and the stuff was pretty heavy…since I don’t have to go anywhere until late next week, I didn’t shovel the alley…might go out and do that tomorrow…my neck is hurting today so I need to stretch it out and give it some rest…the coldest weather since I bought my house is coming Sunday through Tuesday and we are getting down below 0 Monday night…ick…oh, well…only 6 more weeks til March…
