Well…darn…didn’t get out of bed til 6:42 this morning and that is going to make me late for the whole day….need to pay the water bill and my property taxes before I do the grocery run and need to get a bike ride in before that…so I need to get started by 7:30am and I’m going to need more coffee before that happens..pretty worn out today and I am so tired of being tired…oh, well…didn’t get much done yesterday and today will be the same unless I get off my butt and get going…this place needs cleaning but that seems like a daunting task right now….no wind again today so the rides should be easy….coming up on 700 days of riding every day and that is some kind of an accomplishment….but I’m not sure what kind…I just feel old today and need to get going…don’t need to cook today and won’t until late in the week and I’m still eating out of the freezer…going to take the last container of turkey soup out today so I can have that later in the week and that will open up space in the freezer to fill if anything is ever on sale…more later…
Didn’t do much today…
Well…it was a really easy day today and my son got emby working great and I can’t believe how much better the picture is on the tv…and the video and audio is synched up on every channel so that is cool with the soccer season getting going…and I won’t need multiple channels to be able to see the matches I want…just watch them like normal…and all for 39 bucks…I still can’t figure how how the Roku went so bad but didn’t quit altogether…so, all I did today was ride the bike and read and I needed a day like that after working on the new player for hours and hours Sunday….won’t have to cook for a few days but I’ll still be eating out of the freezer since there is no protein on sale this week…I have two bags of breaded pollock that should give me 5 meals or so and I do have two more containers of soup to thaw…time for tv…
Speculation…
Well…with the health of the orange idiot becoming a story since he hasn’t been seen in public since August 23rd other than a stumbling walk out to a car yesterday…and with his hugely swollen ankles showing up over the past few months I’ll speculate that he is having heart problems which would fit with his obesity, lack of exercise, and diet that is just about all fast food….even those on the right have started to plan for him not making it through his term…but if he is that sick or infirm, don’t the people have a right to know? He has been stumbling around for years and yet the media just continues to give him a pass…do you remember how every day there were stories about Biden’s health? That is because big media is now all owned by billionaires and they just need to keep him alive until they can steal the entire country…but I’d bet you 10 bucks he won’t make it though the term…any takers? Geez…
September 1st
Well…up at 5:36 this morning and that is too damn early…haven’t slept well for so long I don’t even remember it anymore and that sucks…I am so worn out from getting the new equipment going yesterday that it’s going to be a chore getting going today…I do need to run an errand after the rides this morning but I really don’t want to do anything right now…but I have over an hour before I need to get on the bike so I hope the coffee is working before that…don’t have to cook today with making the Masala yesterday but I do need to plan for later in the week…it’s warm enough to get out in shorts today and that is a welcome change from the past few days when I had to put long pants on…have lots of pain going on today with every damn joint feeling like it’s full of sand…so maybe there will be an ibuprofen in my future…damn, coughing again and I guess I’m not over the covid yet or maybe this is really allergies again…might have to do the grocery run tomorrow to avoid the rain that is supposed to happen Wed…but I just want to sit here and have more coffee….more later…
Got the fire stick working…
Well…finally have the the new Fire stick working but it took my son hours to figure out why emby didn’t work…but it’s working now and the video is so darn clear and the video and audio is synched up on the race I’m watching and that is pretty cool…I really should make the Masala today but we’ll see…I did put the chicken back in the freezer but it’s only been in an hour so I may just take it back out and still cook it for dinner…the interfaces on my streaming services are all completely different and much more modern on the stick…will take some time to get used to but for 39 bucks for modern kit isn’t bad….

Well…with Russia’s economy cratering and their invasion of Ukraine at least a stalemate and possibly being lost, any other president would be taking advantage of these facts to crush putin and Russia once and for all…but the idiot trump is such a putin fanboy and just plain stupid so he can’t do a damn thing…the easy thing to do would be to drop the restrictions on using American weapons to attack inside Russia so Ukraine could destroy more Russian infrastructure and take the pain to the Russian people…and idiot boy could stop giving putin a place on the world stage to further isolate him and he could even work to get the world to go along and actually treat him as the war criminal that he is…but no, idiot boy fawns over putin and sides with him against the rest of the world…when history is written, it will be found that trump wasted the golden moment where putin could have been removed from the world stage…and it’s all trump’s fault…geez…
August 31st
Well…up a little after 6 this morning and I need to get moving before the F1 race comes on at 9 and get the first ride in…it’s still pretty cold out there at 48 degrees so I’ll have the long pants on again…not coughing much today and it’s been a week since it started so I hope it’s over…I’ll run another test Tuesday to see…talked to my son yesterday and emby is not going to support old Rokus anymore so I bought myself a Fire stick to replace it and it is supposed to be here by 11 am today and then I’ll have to set it up and that will be a pain in the butt…I’ve had this Roku for over 10 years and the button labels have all worn off so I guess it’s time to modernize…the new stick has all kinds of features that I probably won’t use but it only cost 39 bucks with it on sale for 33% off…new tech is always a pain in the butt…but if I can get my channels to synch the video and audio I’ll be happy…so, I need to have more coffee and drag my butt off this couch and get going…man, I feel worn out this morning..but I will get going as I always do…more later…
One sentence…
Well… got a letter from the court today with one sentence: “you are permanently excused from jury duty”…yeah, I know you’re probably going to say everyone should do their civic duty and serve on juries…all I say to that is I’ve done my civic duty my entire life paying my taxes and volunteering at my kids schools, running the AYSO league in Kentwood, coaching soccer and baseball teams, running a cub scout pack and serving on more building committees than I can count…so no, I do not feel guilty using a legal loophole that was put in the jury process just for old folks…I am old after all…
Boy, farmers are stupid…
Well…just read an article over on Kos and the only thing I took away from it is that farmers are really stupid…in the article they quote a couple of farmers whining about a shortage of workers and saying that they will need to leave 33% of their crops in the field because of the mass deportations that they voted for that are carried out by ICE thugs and the only thing you have to remember is that 87% of the Florida Farm Bureau’s political donations went to repubs…who’d have thought that these guys would be hurt from voting for repubs? Just everyone on the left that’s for sure…and you know what? They will never learn from it and will continue to vote for repubs that don’t give a damn about them…that is why I have no feeling for these people…they got rich off of undocumented laborers and now they are gone and none of them will learn a damn thing from it….geez…
Coughing again…
Well…I really didn’t think that the coughing from covid was going to go away so easily as it did Thursday…and it came back today…not as bad as it was earlier in the week but some coughing is still annoying as hell…and I noticed that my energy level on the bike was a bit lower today…but I still got 25 miles in every day since the whole thing started Sunday and that is pretty unusual for covid…and it’s only 11am and I am done for the day with both rides in and the weight work done…and I don’t have to cook til tomorrow when I’ll make the Masala…Michigan plays their first football game tonight and I’m kind of excited about that…just found out that my friend T fainted and had a fall yesterday which broke a bone in her face and is in the hospital…man, I’m worried about her…
