Well…not sure how it happened but today turned out to be a wasted day and all I did was get three rides in on the bike…it’s still cold out here and snow is still on the ground from this morning when we got over 3 inches and that is a little depressing…oh, well…only had one meal again today since I just didn’t feel like eating but that makes 3 days o tomorrow I need to do better…only 15 miles left to go to get to 2,000 by the end of March so I may just do 16 miles or two rides tomorrow but I guess I’ll see how I feel after the first two…don’t have much to do tomorrow, either but it might be a good day to make the Masala sine I’m doing the grocery run Wed…I have all of the meat that was left in the freezer thawing to cook later in the week since the dental work starts next week and I have 4 months of not being able to chew anything until the partial dentures are fitted…so lots of soft food is in my future…ick…okay…going to start my tv watching night right now and I need to prep some veggies to dip….

Well…slept through the night last night but I sure don’t feel like it this morning…have 40 minutes before I have to get on the bike at 7 but I sure don’t want to…damn, I’m starting to sound like a broken record…I think I need a reset of my brain somehow…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I need to run an errand today…the wind is howling out here already and it’s frickin snowing at the end of March? Yeah, okay…I’ve seen lots of snow in April so I guess it’s not that unusual….don’t have a lot of plans for the day today other than riding and reading some more but that sounds pretty boring and I guess it is….down to 39 miles to go to get to 2K before the end of the month so I’ll make it easily….but I really don’t want to have any goals this year….it’s a pain in the butt getting older and having all of the maintenance on this old body…I mean…teeth, eyes, plantar wart and skin that needs work every day…along with BP meds and that is getting really old…oh, well…not much to do today…I sure hope the first ride gets me going because I am so worn out right now…more later….

Well…as you can see, I didn’t do a political one today since I am overwhelmed with t he damage the idiot trump and his minions are doing to this country…So I took a mental health day today and didn’t read anything political all day and really didn’t do anything other than three rides…then I took the rest of the day off and I am going to have cocktails and watch the fox animation IRT tonight…I did finish the second book and am going to start on the third after I treat my eyes and they clear up enough so I can see again…my right hand has been in pain the past few days and it really does feel like arthritis since it’s stiff, too…but it might just be from holding the book mostly with my right hand…and when you do that for hours in a day, the result can be pain…oh, well…it’s going to frickin snow tomorrow and I have to remember to take the pork chops and steak out of the freezer to eat this week since they start the rest of the dental work next week and I won’t be able to eat anything for four months until I get the partial denture in there…I guess it will help me lose some weight…okay need to blur my eyes…

Well…up too early this morning at 5:31 and I’m just feeling old today…my hands hurt for some reason and I wonder if it’s arthritis? Haven’t been doing any work other than cleaning so that can’t be it…need to get off my butt and get started on the last 63 miles to the intermediate goal of 2K before the end of the month….I am just so tired….it’s only 27 degrees out there and it just isn’t warming up at all and that is so depressing to me when I love the warm weather that isn’t coming…does it sound like I’m depressed today? Yep…didn’t make coffee last night with a lot of leftovers in the pot…might even make some more pour over if I need it today….need to get on the bike by 7am and that gives me 29 minutes to sit here and pour the coffee down…don’t have any plans today other than watching races and reading but even reading seems to be too much work right now…at least I don’t have to clean today….not much to do today….just need more coffee and to get my old butt moving…still have leftovers to eat today so no cooking and I would really like to have something bad for me that tastes good….oh, well…more later….

Well…worked on cleaning this place since Thursday and finished it up this morning expecting my son to come out today…but he never came and no text or phone call to beg off…oh, well…I really needed to clean this place up and now I won’t have to do any cleaning for a week or so…I did get to 1,700 miles indoors on the bike today and with the 233 outdoors that only leaves 67 miles to do to get to 2,000 by the end of March…and with a week left, that should be easy…have way too many leftovers in the fridge and probably shouldn’t have made the cabbage yesterday but it was going to spoil and, even at 45 cents a pound, that would be throwing away a couple of bucks and I didn’t want to do that…so I won’t be cooking until late next week and that’s okay…not going to get to 50 again here until next Thurs and that kinda sucks and then it gets cold again into the 40’s…ick…it would be nice to get some outdoor rides in…okay, have to treat my eyes with the ointment the eye doctor gave me no so they will clear up enough so I can see the tv later….

Well…up at 0600 this morning and that followed waking up at 5:09 and trying to get just a little more sleep…my eyes are really foggy this morning and I think it’s from allergies that I’ll see for sure after I give them a wash here in a minute…need to get on the bike by 7am to get the rides in and then get after cleaning the living room…sure don’t feel like doing anything right now and it feel like my body is giving up on me on small increments…have a plantar wart on the sole of my left foot, have a crack in my left thumb that hurts like crazy, and my eyes are giving me fits today and I just feel worn out from all of it…and I think I’m going to need to make more coffee today…haven’t had any whole bean coffee for more than a week and today would be a good day for it….it was darn windy yesterday so there was no way I was getting outdoors and it is going to be cold today so I’m not even going to think about going out…and the weather is going to be cold for the rest of the month…not even getting out of the 30’s today and won’t get to 50 until Thursday and then back into the 40’s and that sucks…not much to do today…just cleaning and surviving with how I feel right now…damn, I hate getting old…more later…

Well…worked on this place all day today and now have the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room done with just the couch and living room to do in the morning…I did get laundry done today and cooked the remaining cabbage with potatoes and carrots so I’ll have that to eat for a week or so to go with the stir fry and chicken and rice…only did one meal again today but I did have a bowl of the cabbage after it was done so maybe that counts for a meal? Finished the first book today and have started the second one but just a couple of pages sine I need to rest my eyes a bit…oh, and I gave myself a haircut since what’s left of my hair was getting shaggy…so now it’s a little after 6 pm and I am done for the day….think I may have a movie to watch tonight but I need to take a look at plex to see…only did two rides today since there wasn’t time to get a third in and still get the cleaning done…so I’ll try to do three tomorrow morning before my son comes over…

Well…just looked and this one is my 12,999th post here since I started doing these years and years ago…man, that takes a bit of discipline to keep coming here and having something to say every damn day…sometimes they even made sense…but not all the time…lots of rants in there about the stupidity of politics that hurt people every day with the latest trump bullshit hitting we older Americans right in the heart of our trying to just live out our lives and keep the earned benefits that we paid for…but that is going away soon and I can’t believe that there is not a revolt happening right now…it looks like we are just going to allow the thugs and billionaires to kill us all by killing SS and that means I have no more than a couple of years before I’m dead broke and lose my house…and that is on the stupid fucks who voted for the idiot trump thinking he would only hurt people they hate…god, I hate those assholes…

Well…I feel like crap this morning and it is going to be a chore to get going and get on the bike in a few minutes…didn’t get out of bed til almost 6:30 today and that is going to make me late for everything for the day…after the rides it is going to be cleaning all day and I really don’t want to do it…just want to sit here and do nothing for the first time in 519 days but I won’t…I think I ate enough yesterday with two meals but I sure don’t feel like it right now and I do have leftovers for the next few days to keep me going…the freezer is looking a little bare but that has been the plan for a while now to try to empty it out and see what is in there…still have a t-bone to grill but I’ll need to fill the propane tank again soon…probably should do the two pork chops that are in the freezer along with it while I still can chew them…major dental work starts on April first and I won’t be able to chew anything for 4 months…damn, I’m tired…not much to do today…just cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and the bike rides…I think it might be a goal to get on the bike by 7:30 and that would get me done by 10:30…but that is looking quite daunting right now…more later…

Well…it was a working day today as I get this place cleaned up for my son’s visit Sat…and I had to cook today and the stir fry took a good hour to prepare and cook…I did get the kitchen cleaned mostly but I’ll still have one countertop to clean since the dish drainer and all of the pots and pans I used for the stir fry were in it and drying…still need to make the coffee for tomorrow morning but that doesn’t take much time…I did get three rides in and made a run over to the library to get 4 more books but didn’t have a lot of time to read today and probably won’t tomorrow with having to clean the bathroom, living room, and finish up the kitchen and do the floor in there…it is Thursday night and it is my favorite tv night since I can watch the shows I have been saving all week…so probably “1923” and “Reacher” with “Harley Quinn” as the lead in…so there will be cocktails and relaxing tonight…making coffee now…
