Well…you know I’ve talking about the prices for everything going to soar in the next month and that has already started with the price of coffee…the Hills Bros whole beans I bought last week for 11 bucks for 2 lbs are now 27 dollars and it has nowhere to go but up from there…so, it looks like I’ll be back to the cheapest ground coffee I can find locally since the ground I bought on amazon went from 11 bucks for 35 ozs to 21 dollars for the same…and everything is going up with them…thanks maga assholes…
Feeling better…
Well…it’s been a better day today and I’m pretty sure it’s from eating more yesterday and I’m trying to do that again today…it is so nice to have the bike zeroed in and working almost like new and getting the miles in…I don’t want to jinx it but the assholes in the rental have been absent for more than a week after I called on them last Thursday but I think it may be the new neighbors weighing in on them, too…but whatever it is, this is how this neighborhood should be all the time without me having to call all the time…I did get out to the library today for more books but finding a road open to it was a pain with the event going on all weekend downtown…had to walk a block and a half carrying my bag of books but it was nice and sunny and I don’t mind walking at all…and then I went to Meijers just to drive my car with the top down since it is really getting to be fun…I did get my new driver’s license today and since I’m over 70, I have to go in to renew it every 4 years…and I think that’s age discrimination when there are so many younger bad drivers that don’t have to…and I haven’t even been pulled over since 1980…that should count for something…oh, well…not going to bitch too much…I have other things to bitch about…okay, world cup time…
Gutting the state department…
Well…there are so many stupid, stupid things that the idiot trump and his minions have done but I think the worst is going to be his gutting of the state department and firing everyone who is not “loyal” to him…it has gotten so bad that we don’t have ambassadors to any mideast country but Israel and we have given up all of the rising Africa to the Chinese who have seen the weakness of idiot boy and have moved in with programs that displace the same ones that the idiot has abandoned…influence that will never be regained since the idiot doesn’t care about those “shithole countries” that can’t or won’t bribe him…and this is going to lock American farmers out of hundreds of billions of dollars in sales across the world that is never coming back…and with his abandonment of Ukraine, he has unleashed the creativity and self sufficiency that is going to undercut American arms manufacturers across the globe…what the moron doesn’t understand is he started the move away from the US with his bullshit and now Ukraine has developed a substitute for the Patriot missile defense system that all of Europe is going to adopt in the near future…and with trump in charge the entire world understands that the US is no longer a reliable partner and are going around us and not even inviting the US to partner like they did with every other president other than the most stupid one in history…so as trump stumbles around in his ignorance, the world moves on without us…as they should….geez…
No more judge shopping…
Well…the idiot trump loses another court case, this time in the SC who ruled 9-0 that the idiot trump’s DOJ judge shopping is illegal and unconstitutional and all trials have to take place where the alleged offense occurred…up until this ruling, trump and his cronies would “judge shop” looking for a corrupt, trump appointed judge who would allow them to break the law as he went after his enemies…using compliant judges and courts in Texas and Florida to investigate “crimes” that happened in other parts of the country…like the case of a RI hospital who refused to give medical records of transgender individuals so the DOJ could persecute (not prosecute) those people for living their lives…so idiot boy’s DOJ filed the case in a lunatic maga judges court to allow them to break the law and using this corrupt judge as cover…yesterday the SC reminded the DOJ of a little thing called the Constitution that specifically prohibits these kinds of manipulation by them…I hope that the lawyers defending these people will file today to get the suits thrown out and force the DOJ to follow the law…man, what a loser…geez…
June 12th
Well…that was a little better…was up and down all night but didn’t get up til 5:30am and that has been a goal for a while so I’ll take it…feel a little better this morning after eating a lot yesterday so that may be why I’ve been so worn out lately…at least I hope so since that’s a thing I can fix…need to go out and hit the library this morning but I’m going to go lighter on the books since the World Cup started yesterday and I would really like to watch some of the matches and not just use them as background noise…and the US plays tonight at 9 so I’ll at least get to watch the 1st half before I collapse from boredom…I had to fix one of the 85 year old light switches in the stairwell down to the basement yesterday…it had started to arc with wear on the contacts so I had to take a screwdriver and bend them so they’d make better contact and it’s working great now…still think these old ceramic switches are a work of art and don’t want to replace them if I can keep them working…it rained again last night and it was a nice little thunderstorm that lasted a couple of hours…nothing big but some cool lightning and thunder and it may even rain again this weekend…still not fixing my lawn but better than drought….not much to do today…need to get on the bike by 7am and that gives me and hour to have coffee, do the weight work, and toast a bagel so no rush today…more later…
Just damn exhausted…
Well…another day of being frickin exhausted and from what? All I did was my normal stuff today and I know that 26 miles is a long way for an old guy, that’s not what’s doing it…I really think the lack of sleep is catching up with me after another night of up and down for abut 3 hours of actual sleep…and I’ve been eating a lot today just to see if that has something to do with it, too….have just felt off for a few days now and everything is just so damn much effort that even just sitting here doing this takes everything I have in me…maybe I just need a day off? After all, I’ve been on the bike for 966 days straight and will make it to 1,000 before that streak ends when I go to Italy in September…okay, going to stop whining now…other than the exhaustion, it’s been a nice day with great weather for the rides and there was a new cruise ship docked down the hill to look at…and the bike is working great although I did break a left pedal this morning but I had new set on the bike shelf downstairs and it only took a couple of minutes to replace it…and I even remembered that left side pedals have left handed threads so I didn’t tighten it instead of loosening it…okay, have a half book to finish today so I can go to the library tomorrow and get more…
The fake cease fire is over…
Well…how stupid is the idiot trump? Just the other day as attacks raged across the middle east, this moron came out and said that fighting is always part of a cease fire there…so now the idiot doesn’t even know the definition of a cease fire and he is supposed to be “negotiating” for a lasting peace…and this is just another time with this moron where up is down, inflation is good, and we have the “best economy in the world”…the thing is, he can’t lie his way out of this stupid war he started because Iran knows his schtick and they know they have the upper hand because trump is so damn dumb…so, if you’re looking for gas prices or any prices to go down in the near future, think again…I know I harp on this a lot but coffee prices are up 18% in the past month, tomato prices are up 32%, as well as beef, chicken, and pork that are up almost 20%…this is what you voted for you maga assholes…I hope you starve to death…geez…
June 11th
Well…feel pretty lousy this morning and it is just the same as I felt yesterday and I’m not sure what the heck is going on…everything hurts so I will be taking an ibuprofen later…have no damn energy and I’m sure it’s from being under 1K calories for the day the past few…have even skipped my morning bagel for 3 days now and I’ll have to change that today if I’m going to have the energy to do anything…it does feel good to have figured out the bike computer problems and I’ll be using the new one today…not sure what I’m going to do with the spare old one but I’ll figure it out…it’s after 6am and I am running late today since I should have the weight work done already and at least one cup of coffee down but I just can’t get moving…we had a weird little storm come through yesterday with winds of 60mph that lasted about 5 minutes and then it just turned into a rainstorm and we can use that…but it’s not helping my lawn at all…oh, well…need to make some food today and I think it will be one of the 4 cheese pizzas in the freezer so I can use up the green pepper and red onion I have in the fridge…and I need to make another batch of pickled red onions and pickles and that will get done this afternoon…not much to do today…just need to get something done and force myself to get going right now but I think I’ll have another cup of coffee and the bagel first…more later…
Got the bike computer fixed..
Well…after fiddling with the new bike computer with little success, I got an e-mail from the manufacturer clarifying how things have changed from my old one to this one and now it’s ready to go…and I’m pretty geeked…it was really nice for them to get back to me this quickly to support a 25 buck computer…I really like my new 10 buck power pack that I bought to charge things when traveling or during power outages…I’ve had it hooked up to my mp3 player for 3 weeks without charging it and it’s barely come off 100% charged…and that’s almost 53 hours of running and my other aux battery would last two days before it needed to be charged…I wonder how long this thing will go before recharging…100 hours? 200 hours? For 10 bucks that’s a screaming deal…I did take coffee out on the bike for the 2nd ride again and I am starting to like the boost it gives me for the 6.5 miles coming home…and I do like the Hills Bros coffee beans I tried so I’ll be getting more of them and figuring out how to store them to keep them fresh…and 11 bucks for 32ozs is not a big investment to try them…who knows…you might like them…
Inflation is real…
Well…no matter how much the idiot and his cronies are trying to gaslight the country that rising prices are “normal”, the latest figures are in and it’s not pretty…the inflation rate for May was almost 5% from a year ago and it’s only going to get worse with the moron in chief attacking Iran again yesterday and sending oil prices soaring…we are all going to look back on 5 buck a gallon gas with fondness soon when it heads up and up to maybe 10 bucks a gallon…and the real economists are all saying the same thing…that one person is responsible for it all and that is the idiot boy squatting in the WH…I’m really glad I stopped drinking or my budget would be squeezed just to put food on the table…but I’ve got it better than the majority of Americans who have no room in their budgets for this inflationary bullshit…as I’ve said before, we are quickly reaching the point where people will have to decide to pay their bills or eat…but this starvation is just what idiot boy wants…so he can lie his ass off as always and say “I alone can fix this” and the stupid people who voted for him will believe it…I hope that voters remember how peaceful and stable things were under Biden when qualified people ran the government and not the lies that spew from the idiot every day as he takes no responsibility for screwing up the country and blames anyone but himself…geez…
