Well…I have been sitting here thinking, trying to figure out what to write about but have had no luck today…politicians haven’t done anything stupid so that’s out…I could talk about the Wings and probably should with how well they played last night…the Bruins are supposed to be just too big a skilled for the Wings but we played with them all night…and Pavel’s goal was something I’ve never seen before…pretty cool…it’s probably out there on the internet somewhere and you should go watch it…the ride today was not anywhere near as interesting as yesterday’s but it was still nice to get out…I do look forward to a day with no wind and a little warmer, though, going all the way out to the east in a 15 mph wind was tiring…it looks like there won’t be a lot of action around here the rest of the day…just can’t get motivated so I guess I’ll just veg and think some more….
Oh, the computer seems to be working well again and I can’t figure it out…
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…slept okay bu just okay so I am a little tired today…there were some strange things that happened on the trail where two women stopped to talk to me and ask me how I was since they hadn’t seen me out there yet….that was weird…but, the night was cool with the Wings beating the Bruins in the first game of the playoffs…and, they played well…I guess the pundits talk about the Wings being the team no one wanted to see in the first round could be true….didn’t get much else done yesterday and today looks like more of the same…the temp is not coming up fast enough so it looks like a long wait to go out…and, this damn computer is screwed up again so it looks like a call to my son is in order…more later… Okay…have gotten this thing to restart but I’m still not sure if it is fixed or not…at least it doesn’t have a delay in the keyboard so that is a plus….spoke too soon…it still delays…damn…and now it’s freezing up all the time…crap…
Okay…it seems to be working now…at least for this sentence…we’ll see later today whether it holds up…
Well…have been having computer problems this morning and that I am going to blame for being late…not really the problem but I’ll blame it anyway….slept okay last night but feel a little crappy today with not being good…but part of it is not eating enough…again…not sure why it is so hard to get the calorie count up but it is….didn’t do much yesterday but look for work and I am tired of doing that so today is going to be all Red Wings all day since the playoffs start tonight….might shoot pool today but I’m not sure…the computer is still screwed up so I need to shut it down and see if that helps…more later…
Okay…just had to pull the battery out of this thing but it seems to be working right now…so, I will be back later for more…but I need to have coffee and ride the bike first….
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so I don’t feel it was a totally lost day….didn’t sleep much and was up at 5:30 or so today but I was good last night so I feel okay today….at least it’s above freezing this morning so I won’t have to warm the car up…skipped the bike ride yesterday since I was still waiting for it to get above 45 at 4 in the aft….just don’t need the cold anymore…it looks like I’ll be waiting again today since it is only going to be around 55 for a high….I do need to do the grocery run this morning and I am out of food so that is really necessary….I am a little tired of the ham I cooked last week so I think I’ll put the rest of it in the freezer to make ham soup later and get back into the boring old chicken routine….think I’ll do leftovers first today, though, and start fresh tomorrow….more later…
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done…I did lose at pool in an additional day but that was okay…but, it was so damn cold yesterday and the 3 inches of snow on the car when I got up was depressing….but, when I got home from pool, my new radar detector was waiting on my doorstep and I can’t wait to put it in the car…it has been strange not having one and I think I’ve been lucky to not get a ticket in the couple of months I’ve been without one…not much to do today…just more stuff around here and then resumes as always….still going to be cold so the bike ride will have to wait until it gets over 45….more later…
Well…it was a day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done but the surprise of having another 3 inches of snow on the car this morning was not conducive to starting this day on a good note….I did get my taxes done yesterday and the new printer worked like a champ so that was a good thing for 35 bucks….might even buy ink instead of throwing it away since it is set up and I won’t have to do that again…the damn tooth that has been bothering me has flared again and I may have to spend a few hundred to get it fixed…don’t have the money so maybe the whole thing is moot…not much to do today…need to get some stuff done around here and then maybe out to shoot pool since Tom has the week off…more later….
One thing I forgot is the eclipse from last night…got up a little after 2 to see if there was anything to see and the clouds broke just enough for me to see the start and then I stayed up until after 3:30 and got a glimpse of it at full…pretty neat red/gold and totally worth missing some sleep for…but, I think my neighbors here at the plex think I’m weird wandering around outside at 3:30 in the morning….
Well…I missed it…that last one was 3,000 since I started this thing a few years back and I never thought I’d get that far….I should go on and on about the journey and mark it as a milestone but I really don’t have much more to say right now…I have some errands to run so I think I’ll do that now and maybe come back for another one later to go on about how much work this was….
Well…I have been trying to find a real topic to write about, but failing that, I just need to write something to make sure I don’t fall even further behind….I did get the taxes done this morning and I am getting money back but that will go straight back to the IRS for last year…oh, well…at least my new printer is working great and I think the bugs are working out of the computer so that is something…and, I am getting to 3,000 of these that I have done so that’s something. I am a little depressed that it is snowing again today and tomorrow is going to be even colder…but, that breaks wed so I guess I can survive until then…okay, need to go look at the dashboard to see if this one is 3K or not….
Well…getting farther and farther behind and I do need to get going here…but, I have an excuse for yesterday…met up with the twins downtown for a couple in the early aft and that put me off for the rest of the day…slept okay and with no earplugs again so my ears are thanking me but the sleep was fitful at best….the Wings did win the last game of the season and will start the playoffs with Boston Friday….looking forward to it and I hope they do well….not much to do today…I do have to get the taxes done so I can use the refund to pay last years taxes but that is about it…no bike ride today since it is raining and windy and I think that will be okay…more later…
Well…this is getting irritating..just lost the first post and I’m not sure what the heck is going on…the update seems to be quite buggy and Firefox is not running right….and I am just not up to trying to fix it right now…so, I’m going to go drink my second cup of coffee and get ready for the bike ride….more later…
Okay…got the bike ride in and feel somewhat better…did see a cute thing up in the park where I take my last water break….some youngster had made tissue flowers and used them to ask someone to the prom by putting them in the fence of the ball field saying: “prom?” with a heart after it…to be young again….more later…
