Well…it’s been a day of getting back to the normal routine with getting two bike rides in to start the day and then making a rub for some ribs I took out of the freezer and now they are sitting in the fridge overnight to let the rub do it’s work…I did just buy some more flonase and a new pair of gloves from amazon and that was a quick 40 bucks gone…but I ran out of the medicine a few days ago and I can really feel my head plugging up so I guess it’s worth the 25 bucks for more than a years supply….and I have been wanting some new bike gloves and needed them since my newest pair of gloves is over 15 years old and my oldest gloves are over 40 years old with lots of iron on patches holding them together…and I can use the touch screen on my phone with the new ones…not that I’ll ever do that…going to make turkey soup tomorrow along with the ribs or maybe I’ll wait til sat for that since I do have eggs that need to be used today and tomorrow…but right now I am going to veg out for a bit and watch some soccer…I did get my calorie count down to normal with only a small bowl of potato soup for lunch and then two eggs and two pieces of toast for dinner…

Dems in charge…
Well…I think this might have flown under the radar after the announcement was put out a couple of days ago that legislation has been passed by the dems here in Michigan to go completely renewable for electricity generation by 2040…no more coal, oil, or gas and if the repubs were still in charge, we would still be building coal fired power plants even though they cost more than any renewable energy…it would just be a payoff to their big donors who pollute the state. This is what happens when you put intelligent people in charge of the government…no culture wars or other bullshit…just good legislation that benefits us all…okay, dems…now do taxing the rich and let’s fund our schools and take care of those here in Michigan who need help…geez…
November 30th
Well…up a little early today with getting out of bed before 6 and I feel pretty worn out after all of the stress from the past couple of days…I am going to try to get a little back to normal today…and that means getting back on the bike here so and I may even try to get outdoors on the bike for a ride today after doing two indoors…I have a rack of ribs that needs to be cooked today and I need to find a rub to make for them…but I overate yesterday so I shouldn’t eat much at all today…maybe I’ll make the rub today and get it on the ribs and make them tomorrow….starving would be a good way to get back on track…it was almost 40 last night so the trails may be melted enough to ride out there today…hope so….damn, my allergies are bad this morning and I do need to order some more flonase since I ran out yesterday…it’s my one year anniversary over on Mastodon today and it has been fun and I’ve met so many nice people…and I have almost 600 people who follow me over there that I never could have imagined….not much to do today….just need to get on the bike by 7:30 to get the day started so that leaves me about 50 minutes to ease into it….need to shut my brain off for a bit and just live but that is going to be a struggle….more later…
Rough day…
Well…it has been a rough day today with going into GR to see my brother at the hospital after his fall yesterday…and they have had to give him blood since his platelet level was really low…and that means he’s bleeding internally and they have to scope him to try to find it and stop it…he didn’t look or sound too good today and I think we all need to get ready for him to pass…and that sucks…this will be the third brother I’ve lost an then there will only be two of us left…along with my 4 sisters…I guess it’s time for this crap to start happening…we are getting old…
November 29th
Well..damn, up at 5 or so today and it’s not going to be a good day…my oldest brother is in the hospital after collapsing in his living room yesterday…he is in treatment for cancer and I think he is in the start of the end of life and that sucks…he has always introduced me as his “twin” as we were born on the same day 13 years apart….so my next oldest brother is picking me up at 10 to run into GR to visit him…it is so hard to see his decline and know that it is my fate, too…life is hard at times…so the mundane talking about my life seems to be unimportant right now….so I’m going to cut this one short to think a bit…more later…

Well…it was kind of a busy day today with getting out early to do the grocery run and having a little problem at Meijers since I forgot that I need to use goodrx to get a deal on the sildenafil that I have to take for rehab from the surgery…they wanted to charge me 211 dollars for the same prescription that cost me 23 bucks last time…so I bitched and they gave it to me for 14 bucks…weird…almost took the day off the bike but didn’t and then I had to go out and shovel the snow again so I could drag my trash bin back to the landing pad…and then the normal cleaning the place up work and now I’m done for the day….want to finish up the book I have going but need to do my teeth first…
Why is this a surprise?
Well…damn, how obtuse does the media have to get before the owners do something about it? Or I wonder if it is because of the owners like Bezos that the media has gotten so stupid? Just yesterday the Washington Post printed an op-ed about the danger to marriage that is happening because women don’t want to date or marry maga assholes and pushes on liberal women to take another look at them and not dismiss them out of hand…that it is their responsibilities to salve the institution of marriage…how many levels of stupid is this? Why would any woman want to date or marry anyone who doesn’t think she is his equal? Or thinks she should have less rights than a man? Or thinks that she should be quiet and stay at home and not live their own life? The asshole magas have brought this on themselves by being assholes and continuing to support the idiot trump and and the destruction of this country…and who cheered when Roe was struck down by the corrupt supreme court…what kind of a life would it be for any woman without respect and dignity? So, keep on whining magas…articles like this just showcases the fact that you are deplorables and it’s your job to change, not liberal women…this is probably the dumbest take I have ever seen in a major newspaper…damn, I’m so tired of the right whining all the time…fix yourselves, assholes…geez…
November 28th
Well…damn, having a hard time getting going today…it’s 7:31 and I just poured my first cup of coffee so it looks like no ride before I head out for the grocery run…and the little widget on the bottom of the screen says ‘near record low temps” and that sucks…the weather has been weird out here so far this winter with more snow last night but I am going to head out for the grocery run today…okay, the widget just changed to “high winds soon” and it’s only 22 degrees out there and that is just depressing…can’t wait to get the errands done and get back here in my comfy clothes….ha, the “Car SOS” episode that is on right now is from Manchester and I recognized the buildings they are showing…pretty cool…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today will be the same since I don’t have a lot to do here at the house…I am going to break in the new puffy coat this morning so I’ll look pretty European with my Harris tweed flat hat…have to pick up a prescription at the close Meijers after I go over to Sternberg road for the rest of the shopping so I can get going earlier…more later…
An easy day…
Well…it was a pretty easy day today but I did get a few things done so that is cool…got the two rides in this morning but then took most of the afternoon off to just read…I did have to put the leaf bags and trash out for pick up tomorrow…my damn right thumb has been just aching on the bike for the past few days so I guess I’ll have to use some voltaren on it before I get on it tomorrow…it was damn cold here all day and the high never got above 25 degrees and tomorrow is going to be the same…so I’m going to do the grocery run tomorrow before it gets warm enough to melt the streets around here…they never salt them so it should be okay to take the car out without washing it after and before it warms up starting Wed….have some ribs in the freezer that have been there a few months that I am going to take out and grill later in the week…will need to make a rub for them and will find a recipe tomorrow…will probably do them in foil and then just finish them without it to get them browned…yummy
Tax the billionaires…
Well…with all of damage that billionaires are doing to the world and with the report that one of the idiot trump’s billionaire backers is ready to spend whatever it takes to install him back in the WH, has there ever been a better reason to tax the billionaires so they can’t destroy this country? The damage they do to the environment is just as bad when it was reported that the top 1% pollutes as much as the bottom 66% of the people in the world…if we could just tax them so much to take away their abuse of private jets, carbon pollution would drop by 25%….and they use their billions to buy the supreme court to get their far right wish list that would never get through congress…just doing this one thing would get rid of many of the problems facing this country and would fund the things we need like forgiving college debt and expanding SS and food assistance…so let’s get it done in 2024…geez…
