Well…after getting the outdoor ride in this afternoon, I settled in to read and had a nice afternoon…while I was getting ready to make some potato soup, I stumbled on an Eagles concert from the time after Glenn Frey died…and they had Glenn’s son and Vince Gill filling in..man, I’ve seen them live 3 times and I just love those songs…and got a little down that I’ll probably never see another concert…and that kind of sucks…and then Queen’s Wembley stadium concert came on…Freddy Mercury is just so damn talented…so the race is coming on in 15 minutes so I need top get ready for that….oh, the mileage on the bike at the end of March is 1,888 so I only missed the goal by 112 miles and I blame the crappy weather we’ve had out here keeping me inside…oh, again…I did finish up the third book today so there will be a trip to the library tomorrow…

Nuke Gaza?
Well…we sure do grow them stupid here in Michigan…just yesterday, one of our repub congresscritters thought he was supporting Israel when he said Gaza should be nuked to look like Hiroshima and to use as many bombs as it takes…now when you get stupidity mixed with hatred, it’s not a good look but that doesn’t stop the repubs these days…but one thing these Michigan assholes have to remember is that the state is much less gerrymandered now and even in red leaning districts they can get voted out of office with stupid bullshit like this…I could find the name of the guy who said it but if I find out I’ll do another one…geez…
March 31st
Well…I guess I’m back to normal with my sleep patterns after two days of sleeping through the night…up at 3:04, 5:11 and then up a little after 6…oh, well…man, I hope the coffee starts to work soon…can’t remember when taking the day off of everything looked so attractive but I won’t…and that means I need to get on the bike by 7:30…not sure why I’m still driven to keep this up at my age and 91 days of no rest is taking a toll….had an okay day yesterday even with getting wet on the bike and I think I’ll need to wash the rear shifter before I get on it today…I could feel the grit in the idler wheels by the time I got back here…I do need to cook today and I think I’ll do the potato soup later and make the ham and potatoes for lunch…every time I make a ham I have to make that dish with lots of ketchup on it…yeah, I know that’s weird but it just tastes like home fries…and I’ll use the last of the ham in the potato soup…it will be nice to have something different after ham for a week…not much to do today…just need to get moving and start the day and that is getting pretty hard…but I’ll do it…have to…more later…
Not much going on…
Well…there really wasn’t much going on here today but I did get three rides and got really wet on the outdoor ride since it started raining about a mile and a half out and kept raining the entire ride…and the weird thing was that the rain didn’t show up on radar…so, went out in 40 degree weather and got soaked…took me a couple of hours to warm up after that…it looks like I’ll be able to get outdoors on the bike the next couple of days with the forecast change…didn’t make it to the goal for the month but it looks like I’ll get to 1,890 miles and that is not bad…the damn weather just didn’t cooperate and I couldn’t get many outdoor miles in…if I can get 900 miles a month in from now, I’ll hit the goal the end of September…so I have to get my butt in gear…
Stupid racists in Michigan…
Well…we really do have the most stupid racist assholes here in Michigan…a few days ago, one of our repub reps tweeted out a photo of 4 buses with a caption that said it was illegal immigrants that Joe Biden was busing into Michigan…and that started all of the rest of repub racists agreeing with the caption and saying things like Biden should be shot and the rest of the bullshit that spews out of the right these days.,..yeah, only one problem with that…the buses were taking college basketball teams to the Final Four in Detroit…yep these idiots are so shameless they will lie about everything to keep their base outraged and they really don’t mind looking stupid and never admitting they are wrong…if they did that, they wouldn’t have any time for anything else…what a bunch of morons..
March 30th
Well…damn, this is weird….slept through the night for a second night in a row and that hasn’t happened in years and I really wonder what has changed….yeah, it is a little odd that I’m now worrying about sleeping well when I worried about not sleeping well for years…it’s raining out there and it’s going to keep that up for hours but I may be able to get out around 4 or so…still going to be cold so I’ll be out in full thermasuit…I can’t wait til it gets warmer…it’s heading into April and we should have at least a few days warmer than the 40′s…damn, have to be on the bike in 14 minutes and I’m not sure if I have the energy for it…coffee hasn’t started to work yet and it needs to…had a good day yesterday but didn’t get anything done and today will probably be the same…with spending 3 hours a day on the bike there isn’t much time for anything else…and that will be true for the entire year if I’m going to hit my goal…still have leftovers to eat today but tomorrow will be new food that I haven’t figured out yet…not much to do today…just need to drag my butt downstairs and get going…but it’s more work than I want to do…90 days in a row on the bike…and I’m worn out…more later…
Another good day…
Well..after sleeping all night last night, I had tons of energy today and got three rides in…it was nice to finally get back outdoors and I hope the rain gives me a chance to get outdoors again tomorrow…other than the rides, all I did this afternoon was read and that felt good…talked to my DIL this afternoon when she texted me to say she ate the whole container of turkey soup I sent home with them Sunday and that made me feel good…going to make some potato soup to take to them the day of the service for my brother in a couple of weeks…going to be sore later so I am going to put the heating pad on my back once I wind down for the night in a few minutes…can’t wait to see if I can sleep through two nights in a row…hope so…
26 million dollars in one night…
Well…haven’t really talked much about the election this fall but I’m going to do a shorty on fundraising since modern elections run on money…first, for the idiot trump, all of the money he has been raising has been going right into his legal fund to pay all of the lawyers he needs for all of his civil and criminal trials…and that is well over 100 million dollars that isn’t leaving much cash to support candidates other than trump…and that is going to be a problem in the fall…on our side there was a fundraiser in NYC earlier in the week that had the last three dem presidents taking part that raised 26 million dollars in one night…and unlike idiot boy, this money is going into opening 300 offices across the country to do outreach to the voters and campaign advertising and GOTV…and that includes house and senate candidates….and we are going to have Obama and Clinton out there every day singing the praises of Joe’s accomplishments which I have said they need to get better at that…I think we may win this thing…
March 29th
Well…damn, it’s a miracle…slept through the whole night and that hasn’t happened in years…I wonder how that is going to feel later on today…had this feeling that it was Friday all day yesterday and looked at the soccer match listings to see what EPL games were on…I guess that’s to be expected when I don’t have anywhere to be anymore…it’s still damn cold out here at 25 degrees and I really can’t wait for it to warm up some…I am going to try to get a ride in outdoors today…will need to air up the tires on the outdoor bike since I haven’t done them in a month and they do leak down over time…I do want to get on the indoor bike here in twenty minutes or so to get the day started…need to figure out meals after the leftovers are gone and I think I’ll make another batch of potato soup to use up the ham so I can start on the freezer…have had onion rings on my mind since I bought them 3 weeks ago but I guess they will wait for a few more days…not going to make the 2K goal on the bike and I’m a little disappointed in that…but the damn weather hasn’t cooperated but that’s Michigan in the spring….not much to do today…15 minutes til I get on the bike…89 days in a row on the bike…not sure if that’s a good thing or not…more later…
Another easy day…
Well…had a lot of things to do today but it was still a pretty easy one today…got the first ride in and then went out to run an errand since I was running low on milk and a few other things that I forgot Tuesday…then back here for the second ride and a little cleaning up and a lot of reading this afternoon…it never got over 36 out here today but it is supposed to be over 40 tomorrow so I’ll get outside on the bike if it’s not too windy…so that will be three rides for 3 days and will add 90 miles to the totals but will still be almost 150 miles short of the goal…but I then can start making up for it next week with temps in the upper 40′s until the end of the week when it is going to get into the mid 50′s to around 60 for a few days…I’ll be able to try out my new riding gloves that I really like for 11 bucks…the times of the service for my brother on the 13th have been changed with visitation at 1 and the service at 2pm…some screw up by the funeral home…oh, well…
