Well…it was announced this morning that the governor of Maine was stopping her campaign for senator of that state, lying it was for “financial reasons” when the truth is people have figured out she is just another corporate shill who has been vetoing all of the bills that would help the people of Maine…the latest being a moratorium on constructing new data centers for AI that use more energy than some towns and have caused water shortages across the country…and she ignored the studies that have found that there is no benefit to the towns and counties where they are located since a million square foot facility only needs about 4 people to run it…and all of the benefit and profit goes to the owners of these monstrosities…and, in areas that have these stupid data centers, electricity rates have exploded as they gobble up all the capacity in the system and use more water in one minute than a hundred houses use in a year…and they don’t pay to increase capacity of these resources, they just make them scarce so the price of both explodes, pricing residents out of the water and electricity they need to survive…so, it’s good she lost or we would have her bullshit, corporate favoritism on a countrywide scale…geez…

Things are easier…
Well…as I run up on 30 days with no booze, it hit me today that things have gotten easier to do as time has gone on…the 8 miles on the indoor bike today just flew by and I averaged over 14mph when I normally struggle to keep it at 12…and then I went out and mowed the lawn this morning and it was just easy…or easier than it has been for years…I know part of that is the lighter lawnmower that I don’t have to wrestle around to do the job but even after I was done, I just felt good and was walking easily instead of dragging my butt back into the house…oh, and I saw a bald eagle fly over my house as I was mowing…pretty cool…just finished the last book and I think I’ll take the rest of the day off reading and just fool around with little things to keep myself busy…or not even busy since I haven’t had a day like that in a long time…so, I think I’ll read some news and few of the car websites I like and just take it easy…I do need food since I’m done with the pork shoulder after dinner so I guess it will be potato soup tomorrow morning so I’ll have some for lunch…stir fry in the new pan will wait til sat after the chicken thaws…

Well…we all know that the SC is filled with partisan hacks trying their best to give the repubs a permanent ruling majority even though 70% of the American people don’t want that at all…and yesterday, they drove the final nail in the coffin of the voting rights act that roberts has made his life work to destroy…and the asshole alito wrote for the majority that gerrymandering to take away minorities voting power is just fine with him…and he went on with roberts overriding theme that racism in the US is over even though hundreds of suits have been brought against repubs who only want white people to be able to vote…so now do you get why we need to take back the house and senate and win the WH in 2028? this is the most corrupt court in the history of the country and reform should be the first item on the dems agenda…take away robert’s power to put his thumb on the scale…after all, it was roberts ruling in citizens united that let billionaires buy elections and he has be dismantling out democracy ever since with his nakedly partisan rulings…expand the court or impeach this corrupt son of a bitch…geez…
April 30th
Well…that was better…not out of bed til 5:23 with no sleep aids at all and I think I like that…feel okay but I’m pretty sore from all the overhead work getting rid of the cobwebs downstairs…still have to go through the cabinets where I keep all my maintenance supplies and clean off the top of them…it’s going to be March like weather here the next few days and that sucks when it’s the first of May tomorrow…there still has been no consistent spring here and it looks like I’ll be mowing the lawn today with the temp about 45 and that’s just not right…I did get my new semi wok yesterday and it’s really nice…can’t wait to use it later in the week but that means I’ll have to take the chicken out of the freezer but I may wait to do that until after I make a batch of potato soup with having more than 10 lbs of potatoes in the kitchen…still have lots of fruit that needs to be used so I may substitute an orange for the normal morning bagel…it was kind of funny that I read
“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” this week and the movie was on Amazon that I watched last night…Tom Cruise does not fit the description that Lee Child laid out for Reacher with him being 5’8″ and Reacher in the books is 6’6″…I like the books better…not much to do today…just the normal stuff and finishing up the last book so I can go to the library tomorrow…oh, and cleaning the bathroom….more later…
Dust…
Well…just did and hour and a half on cobweb patrol and the dust has triggered my allergies and I am going to be miserable the rest of the day…but the front room of the basement looks a lot better and I even tossed three bags of stuff that should have been gone long ago…it is pretty nice just buying food on the grocery run…even with hitting 3 stores the bill was still under 35 bucks and I got lots of stuff…I mean how can you pass up oranges, apples, and potatoes for a buck each? I think I’ve had more fruits the past week than I’ve had in the last year and maybe this will start some more healthy food…who knows? I never got over 50 and has been raining all day so it’s been a good one to get some things done…I need to do meal planning for later in the week and I’m not sure what that will be yet…might make some pasta salad with the tri color rotini I got for a buck today and making a two quart container is less than a buck fifty so that sounds like a deal… and I have enough potatoes to make lots of potato soup so that could be what I’ll make later…but I really should eat out of the freezer…will probably make stir fry with the chicken I have in the freezer…and I’ll have a new wok to do it with later today…yay!

Well…I’m pretty sure that Obama and Biden never had to go a news show to proclaim “I’m not a rapist or pedophile” as the idiot trump did Sunday night on “60 Minutes” as he attacked Norah O’Donnell and called her names throughout the interview…now what I’d like to see from these chickenshit “journalists” is to just end the interview when the idiot starts that crap…don’t they have any self respect? Or is this part of CBS now being owned by one of the billionaires who think idiot boy is just fine and the reporters being told they just have to take it or quit? Whatever it is, there is no reason to ever interview the pedophile in chief if they just allow him to continue to lie his ass off every time he opens his mouth…geez…
April 29th
Well…that experiment sucked…didn’t sleep at all last night and feel like crap today after getting up at 4:30 so no more of that…I don’t understand why people would try this stuff when it makes you feel worse than normal? Oh, well…back to normal today and I’ll survive it…almost feel like I had cocktails last night and that is the opposite effect I was expecting…so, we know I didn’t sleep for crap and that will be the last time I bitch about that…today…do have a busy day today with hitting three stores for the grocery run and getting the weight work and indoor ride in before I head out…no outdoor ride again until Sunday with the temp never getting out of the 40’s and lows in the 30’s and that sucks for the end of April and into May…still no spring here and it looks like we won’t have one this year…oh, well…it’s raining here right now and another batch is coming through a little later and we can sure use that…I did get a bunch of cleaning done yesterday and need to do the bathroom and kitchen at some point…still eating leftovers of the pork shoulder I made last week and I am looking forward to that being over so I can cook some new stuff…not sure what that would be but having the same meal for a week is pretty frickin boring….more later…

Well…the repubs are heading for a record in low approval ratings according to a new poll out by Gallup this week…in the poll, only 10% of those surveyed approved of what the repubs in congress are doing…and 86% disapprove…let’s put that in context…the lowest approval rating for congress in history is 9% so it looks like they could break the record some time this summer as the war drags on and the idiot trump has lost the war with Iran…all Iran needs to do is wait out idiot boy since they know he is too stupid to have any ideas other than “hulk smash” and the US is running out of the weapons they have been using to kill children in Iran…one of the things that came out of the poll was that the maga idiots are against idiot boy because he is not doing enough to deport everyone who is not a white christian…but not because of the higher prices that are draining their bank accounts…nope, they are just fine with that if it hurts the “libtards” as much as it does them…and that right there shows that supporting idiot boy is a cult that has only visceral emotions to drive it…no thinking, no nothing other than hate…how’s that working out for you maga assholes? Well…this is what happens when I have time on my hands…was thinking about doing a stir fry later in the week but then took out my ugly old wok that I got from my daughter used 20 years ago and it’s pretty disgusting…so I ordered a new aluminum non stick for 13 bucks that is just a little smaller than the old one…then I remembered Tom telling me about cheap spices on Amazon and ordered both bay leaves and garam masala…the bay leaves were 7 bucks for a huge two ounce container when the ones locally were 4 bucks for a half ounce…and the garam masala was even better…at Meijers it is 8 bucks for a 1.6 ounce jar and got a 14 ounce bag for the same price… a pretty good deal…and it will all be here tomorrow…and I won’t have to buy more of these for at least a year…good deal…
April 28th
Well…I may have turned the corner on sleep last night with not getting out of bed til 5:26 this morning and hitting the sack at 10pm…not sure if I can get better than that but I’ll keep trying if just a little bit…got some stuff done yesterday and it appears that I will continue that today with the temp not getting above 50 so no outdoor ride…and that will give me time to get after the cobwebs in the basement and then spray the house with insect killer to keep them from coming in…not sure if I’ll paint the wheel today but I can wait til it warms up over the weekend…no need to rush it…want to clean the dining room and the bathroom and I’ll have time to do it along with getting some reading in…planning on hitting the library Friday after I finish the last two books…it rained hard enough to hear it through the earplugs overnight and we sure needed that after just some spiting showers yesterday…it’s going to be damn cold all week with the high of 51 and then dropping into the 40’s with lows in the 30’s for May? That just sucks but I’ll deal with it as always..not much to do today…have plans to make both potato and ham soup later in the week and need to keep eating out of the freezer to get it emptied in case something is on sale…I do have chicken to make stir fry but need the veggies and I’m going to look for a new wok since the coating is peeling on the old one…more later…
