Well…almost forgot to come here for this last one for the month…man, it was a physically taxing day today with the heat and humidity that was here from the first ride at 7am…it felt like I was breathing liquid out on the second ride..oh, and I only did two rides today with mowing and feeding the lawn and trimming a bunch of tree branches…I was so worn out after that and doing the grocery runs this morning, I thought it would not be smart to do a third ride at around 1pm when it was 84 and humidity was still almost 70%…I was already soaked through everything I was wearing by then and really didn’t want to get more dehydrated…so took the afternoon off and just got everything I’ve been ignoring done…so, I need to read a bit since it’s getting late in the aft…and I still have my teeth to do…darn…

The 2025 project is not going away…
Well…not that the media has picked up on and started to report on the fascism that the 2025 project it includes, the repubs are doing their best to try to convince people that they are abandoning it but it’s all a lie…there are still hundreds of people working behind the scenes to implement it even if the idiot trump loses…so to us on the left, we need to keep the details in the spotlight…like they want to fire all of the government employees who were the bulwark against the worst excesses of trump and his minions and replace them all with trump loyalists to ensure that nothing good happens for the people anymore…it’s just another spin on the theme that the government can’t do anything right especially when unqualified repubs are put in jobs that need expertise…then they point and say “see, government doesn’t work” so then they cut everything that benefits workers and protect their health and the environment…that is a big part of the 2025 project…to get rid of all regulations that protect us and make us vulnerable to the whims of big corporations…and that’s just part of it…and it is very much alive…geez…
July 31st
Well…damn, how can I be running late already today? Have to get on the bike in 10 minutes and haven’t even had any coffee yet…so I need to gt in gear and get moving…slept okay last night but it’s going to be hot today and tomorrow so tonight could be a rough night…going to get to 90 the next couple of days and with the 95% humidity out here it’s going to be uncomfortable…going to try to mow the lawn today and get the last of the summer food on it before the storms that are coming in overnight…I forgot to spray my face with the 100 sunscreen yesterday and got a little red but I won’t do that again today…and I need to do the grocery run after the first ride then two more rides and the yard work so it’s going to be a busy morning…my thumb still barely hurts and I’ll take that any day and my back may be healing up some after two months…fingers crossed…nope…just picked up my coffee cup and it hurts again…crap…not much to do today…ha,ha…that made me laugh…going to start running in 5 minutes and hope to be done for the day by noon…but it looks more like 1 pm….man, I’m going to be worn out…more later…
Not too busy today…
Well…today was not too busy but I did get some things done so I don’t feel bad about that…got the three rides in before 10 or so and then did the weed walk since I had weeds near the front of the house that needed to be taken care of…then I didn’t do much until I grilled some chicken and pork loin and had dinner early…still have the compression socks on to try to keep the swelling down and it is working some but not enough…looks like I’ll have to take a month or so off of cocktails to fix it…but not tonight…probably tomorrow…oh, well…I did get my absentee ballot in today and rode past the big old house that had just been moved to a new lot for the third time just about a block from here…we did get some rain out here yesterday and overnight but that’s not going to save the lawn…it is supposed to rain tomorrow but if it doesn’t I’m going to start taking the garden and perennials out at the back of the house….so I can put it out next week…it was so damn humid out here today that I’ve been sweating like crazy all day…and I was so flat on the first ride that I had to come back here and eat something before the second ride or I wouldn’t have made it though it….so I ate a lot today…for me…to try to avoid that tomorrow…okay, want to read a bit before I settle in for the night…
A criminal conspiracy?
Well…as we saw in real time, there was a conspiracy against Joe Biden by all of the major news media in this country that got him to drop out of the race…and now a few of the dems in the House are talking about holding hearings if they take back the house this fall to see if it was a criminal conspiracy where the billionaire owners of the media actually colluded to lie about Joe…now that would be a good use of hearings in the house…but it needs to go farther than that…the house needs to look at the consolidation in the news industry where the murdochs own way too many newspapers and tv so they can actually make what is news and not just report it…and goes for sinclair, too…and we need to go back to the days when you could get fined for lying on tv or any other media…and don’t give me the bullshit that lying is protected by the first amendment…there can be limits to what the first amendment protects such as hate speech…geez…
July 30th
Well…damn, I had to go back to compression socks last night with my right foot way too swollen by the heat and being on my feet a lot yesterday…better this morning but I am pretty tired of it…slept okay last night but I’m pretty worn out today as I am almost every day until the coffee starts to work…just poured the first cup at 6:30 and need to get on the bike in about 15 minutes but there is no urgency today…we did get some rain yesterday that lasted about an hour but I don’t think that will help the lawn at all…better than no rain but we need hours of rain to help it survive…have my fingers crossed that we’ll get some over the next few days…going to do a weed walk today with having some pop up in the front…going to test the 100 sunscreen today to see if that is enough to keep me from scorching…it was tough spending 11 bucks for a small spray bottle but I had to do that…I did make potato soup yesterday and I need to grill some chicken thighs today and I may even take some pork loin fillets out of the freezer to go with it…damn, 5 minutes until the bike and I need to get going…more later…
Back on schedule…
Well…I finally got back on schedule with getting three rides in before 10 am today, then an errand to try to find some 100 sunscreen that I did but damn, 11 bucks for spray on banana boat that will probably only last a couple of weeks…oh, well…then back here and now I’m making potato soup with the 3 pounds of potatoes I got for a buck last week and picked up another bag today…yeah, pretty stupid to be heating up the kitchen when it’s over 80 degrees but I did need to use the celery up, too…I think I have a little over a buck into the entire batch even with 5 tablespoons of butter in it…and it will last me 5 or 6 days…even have the weight work done and now I’m watching the men’s team gymnastics at the Olympics and it is so much fun watching the US team try to get a medal…so now I’m going to finish the soup after the final American goes on the pommel horse…go USA!
SC reform…
Well…with the moist corrupt supreme court in history shredding the constitution almost ever damn day, I was pleasantly surprised that Joe announced his plan for reform of the SC that Kamala is completely behind…first, they want to pass a constitutional amendment to would eliminate immunity for crimes a president commits while in office…term limits for justices on the SC of 18years with new appointments every two years…and a binding code of conduct for the supreme court that will bring them in line with every other federal judge…this is a good start and is supported by 70% of the American people…and Alito and Thomas have one but themselves to blame for their corruption being reigned in…just like every other repub, these asses think the law and rules don’t apply to repubs but they are going to find out that it does…maybe they will retire to avoid the rules and continue to grift? Hope so…geez…
July 29th
Well…I’m just getting old….only did 25 miles yesterday and I feel like I did 100 and I am looking forward to getting to the goal and then taking it easy for a day…have 28 minutes before I need to get on the bike and I am going to pour the coffee down fast so I can get on the bike as soon as it’s light…I was out watering the flowers and garden for 15 minutes yesterday and I got sunburned from it with not having any sunscreen on…feel like I did an hour on the beach and that sucks…I am going out this morning to try to get some 70-100 sunscreen and I’ll have to put 50 on to put the top down on the car…weird…didn’t get much done yesterday but I do need to cook today…some potato soup is on the agenda and grilling some chicken and pork…I am laughing that the weather widget on the screen says rain coming…it hasn’t rained here in three weeks and it’s not going to rain today…it just doesn’t happen here…have a new set of people that moved into the rental across the street and they seem pretty quiet so that’s cool…man, it’s humid here right now and I am sweating just sitting here today…going to be a hot one today with it already 74 at 6:25 and getting toward the mid 80′s this aft…made my own taco seasoning yesterday and I like it better than old el paso so I’ll keep doing that for chicken tacos…not much to do today…just the rides and running out to Meijers for sunscreen and some cheap food…another 3 pounds of potatoes for a buck along with some pork loin fillets again that will go on the grill…more later…

Well…just read an article that made me think about what is different about Kamala’s campaign versus the repub idiot…it’s happy…she laughs and smiles a lot while idiot boy hates and scowls…and she isn’t an old white guy…and with the idiot, it’s all doom and gloom…no hope, no helping the normal Americans, and no policy to speak of other than tax cuts for the rich…and with the 2025 project, the repubs have told all of us who they are going to hurt…have friends who are gay and are married? That goes away if idiot boy is elected…You want women to have equal rights? Even here in Michigan where we voted into our constitution, that goes away…you get my drift? People are excited to have Kamala in the race and she is excited to have us behind her…and I can read the news again without doom scrolling…and that is good for my mood…geez…
