Well…after getting up this morning to almost no pain even with having my mouth torn apart yesterday, I was really hoping it would make it easier to eat…it has been painful for the past year with the huge sensitivity to heat, cold, and pressure…it was so bad that I was never eating hot or cold food… only eating tepid stuff and even the acid from oranges sent me into screaming pain even though it was at room temperature…so today when I had hot soup for lunch and was able to eat it without tilting my head to the right to keep the food off the left side of my mouth…and I damn near broke into tears…never thought I’d ever be able to eat without pain again….my jaw is still pretty sore from the stress they put on it yesterday and I can’t open it all the way but I know that’s just temporary until the strain heals…one thing I’m sure of is that I don’t take this for granted…and I am going to relish every pain free day if they continue…you just don’t know what this has done for my quality of life….

It really does look lik fox news is in trouble…
Well…with the release of testimony from all of the execs and on air personalities in the civil defamation suits that Dominion Voting Systems, all I can say is wow, fox news is in trouble….and the suit is for 1.6 billion dollars and I wonder if there can be punitive damage levied if they win their suit? It is clear from the testimony that fox knew that they were lying about Dominion when they constantly pushed the idea that their software switched votes to Joe Biden from the idiot trump, but they kept on doing it even after Dominion sent a cease and desist letter to them after the election and it is also clear that fox was panicking that they were losing viewers to newsmax and oan and they had to do something to bring the maga idiots back into the fox bubble…so they picked Dominion and Smartmatic as their targets of made up conspiracies and hammered it on every show for a month…and Smartmatic has an even larger suit of 2.7 billion dollars against them for the same lies…could we see fox nees bankrupted if they lose these suits? Probably not but it will put a big dent in them…and will maybe change their lying propagandic behavior…we’ll see…geez..
February 28th
Well…damn, this is weird…after all of the cutting and scraping and grinding on my teeth yesterday, my mouth barely hurts at all today…just some stiffness in the jaw hinge but that is about it…and the bleeding has completely stopped so I guess I’m on the way to healing…if it continues to feel like this, I won’t even need to take anything for it today…fingers crossed…I am still removing the protective cement they put in to keep the cold and heat from hurting but most of it is out and the rest of it will eventually fall out….it still does hurt a bit when I put pressure on it biting down but I can live with that….so, it looks like I can start to get back to normal today….still feel cold today, though, so I have the heating pad in my lap just to try to get warm and I’m not sure what that is about…probably should take it easy today but I need to get two rides in anyway so I may take the afternoon off and watch some soccer…I was so worn out last night that I slept through til 6:23 this morning but I’m still pretty tired and it will take a while to get moving….I was planning on today being a recovery day so I’ll have to see if the mouth continues to improve before I decide what to do ….more later…
Part one of the surgery is done…
Well… just got back here from getting the first part of the dental surgery done and man, they jerked and beat on my mouth so much I’m sure my jaw is going to ache tomorrow…my face and jaw is still numb but I think I need to get out ahead of the pain as the numbness wears off…and I lost another molar to a huge abscess…the dentist said we could try to save it and spend thousands to to it but it would come out at some point…it was a the far rear left molar so I’ll still be able to chew…and now without pain…have lots of self dissolving stitches in that won’t need to be removed and the next appointment on the 13th now is just a checkup and consultation and the other side will be done later…and he thinks all of the infection on the left side is now gone and it should heal up okay….hope so….I’m tired and have a headache…
February 27th
Well…happy second anniversary of moving in to my house and it’s going to be a long, painful day…didn’t sleep much at all last night but that’s to be expected with being good last night to prep for the dental work today….out of bed at 5:23 and it looks like it going to snow this morning and I hope it’s not too bad so I can still get to my appointment at 2….and the rest of the day after I get back here is going to be lying on the couch and taking stuff for the pain…I did take the day off the bike yesterday but am going to try to get two rides in this morning and I’m going to eat a lot this morning so I won’t have to eat later…probably not until Tuesday afternoon…I am going to make mashed potatoes this morning to go with the soup I have thawed so I’ll have some non chewing food in case I do get hungry…at least I’ll be able to sleep tonight or even take a nap this afternoon….so nothing planned for the day other than rides and the dental work…I do have to straighten up the living room in case I need to be helped into the front door but that will only take a few minutes….more later….

Well…sitting here watching the League Cup final between Manchester United and Newcastle with Man U up 2-0 but Newcastle is outplaying them…or were until the second goal kind of deflated them….should be a great second half if I can find a channel that is stable to watch it on…using a New Zealand Sky Sports channel right now after trying a South African and English one and both of them jumping backwards….so I’ll stay on this one for a while….
February 26th
Well…running about on time today with getting up with the coffee alarm clock at a little after 6…didn’t go out to get the paper today since I just didn’t want to get cold and it’s pretty useless for 5 bucks…my left hip is hurting again this morning and I must have done something when I was sleeping last night…but, it’s not as bad as yesterday so I can deal with it…didn’t get anything done yesterday but I am going to clean a bit today…going to take the day off the bike today to get back to the normal pattern after riding twice a day all week…I am starting to get a little anxious about the dental work tomorrow…it’s going to hurt like crazy when I get back here and I’ll have to shift into survival mode when it’s done around 4 or so…going to over eat today since I won’t be able to eat until Wed or so…hey, maybe I’ll lose some weight…have to look on the bright side….but I will have at least two days of pain killers to help weather the storm…not much to do today…just eating and cleaning…Man U plays in the League Cup final at 11:30 so I’ll be watching that and then just taking it easy for the rest of the day…no cocktails tonight in prep for the surgery so I’m going to be pretty bored…more later…
Boycott Heineken…
Well…just read an article on Mastodon that even though Heineken promised to withdraw from the Russian market, they have continued to invest in Russia and have launched 61 new products there along with building bottling and distribution plants, supporting Putin and his murderous war in Ukraine…so any time you buy a Heineken, you are helping Putin kill more Ukrainians…so boycott Heineken…they don’t deserve your support if they support Putin…

Well…just read an article that had me laughing out loud at the absurdity of it…I guess idiot boy is now a DJ at his tacky Florida golf club every Thursday and Saturday night during dinner…yep, the idiot trump is now playing music for dinner patrons as he sits there and stuffs his face and my only thought is “of course he is” this how far this idiot has fallen and I, for one, is happy to hear it…maybe the stress from the coming indictments is furthering his decline and that’s just fine with me…the sooner he shuffles off this Earth, the better it will be for everyone…I wonder what’s next? Is he going to become a waiter there, too? Or better yet, a busboy….who really cares anymore? Geez…
February 25th
Well…damn, I’m not sure what I did but my left hip started to hurt last night and it is really bad today…hard to put any weight on it and that is just a pain…woke up at 5 again today but laid back down until 7:30 and I think the lack of sleep has caught up with me….so, I don’t know when I’m going to get on the bike today…it’s already 8 and I’m on the first cup of coffee so it will be quite a while…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get a lot done but I do need to clean the bathroom today with the build up of dust on the edge of the shower…I still can’t believe how dusty this house is…I guess it should be with being 82 years old but it is still a pain to constantly dust…Monday is going to be the two year anniversary of moving in here and it has been a pretty good time living here…haven’t made any progress on the house in 6 months so I need to get off my butt and get going but that will wait until after the health problems are sorted in April…not much to do today…it did snow a little last night but I don’t think I’ll have to shovel today…I do need to clear the front steps that I forgot the other day so I can use them after getting my mouth destroyed on Monday…I had doves on the feeder yesterday and that has never happened before….huge birds but pretty dumb…two of them were pecking at the side of the feeder trying to get at the food and never figured it out…more later…
