Well…with getting to 600 miles in one month earlier this week, I had a few days left to try to get to 650 but I missed it by 6 miles today…I could probably have kept going to get there but I am just worn out and don’t want to do any damage…or any more damage, that is…my legs hurt just sitting here and resting my arms on them to type this even hurts…I did see one cool thing in the woods on the second ride that I have never seen before…as soon as I got into the woods, I noticed hundreds of little green caterpillars falling from the trees in what looked like slow motion rain…suspended by their webs as they fell…they were everywhere and I had over 50 of them on my t-shirt when I stopped to brush them off and still had a few when I got back here…just one of the strangest things I have ever seen…now, I’ve seen one or two of them at a time but never the hundreds as today…pretty cool to see something new even at my advanced age….

How’s your “great guy” now, trump?
Well…with news out of North Korea today that Kim Jong Un had every member of the team that was negotiating with the US on a nuclear deal executed, my question to the idiot in chief is: How’s your “great guy”now, trump? This is the guy who trump praised as “funny, and smart” during the debacle of the Japan trip as he sided with Kim when he attacked Joe Biden…and to emphasize the cruelty and depravity of trump and Pompeo, Pompeo stated when asked about the murders, with a smirk on his face “I guess I’ll be negotiating with someone else next time”…this from the secretary of state…no condemnations, nothing but what I’m sure Pompeo thought was quite a clever comment….but even this comment gives a green light to dictators across the world that murdering their people is just peachy keen with the US now. Shouldn’t this be enough, repubs? Shouldn’t this wink at murder by this administration be enough to join with the dems and rid us of this cancer on the US? Yeah, I know the answer to that still is nope…trump still hasn’t shot someone on 5th avenue so it’s all good. Impeach…..
May 31st
Well…two days in a row of not getting up until after 6 and that is a little confusing since I normally toss and turn and wake up much earlier than that…but, I guess I’ll take it since I don’t feel too bad this morning…and I’m really not too sore, either, and I think that is from only going out for one ride yesterday…not sure if I’ll do two today or not but the weather looks like I’ll be able to if I want…it looks like I’ll end the month with around 640 miles in and that is enough…didn’t lose any weight with all of the extra work so I’m not sure what the purpose would be other than wearing my body out and I don’t want to do that…I am looking forward to the Deadwood movie that is on HBO tonight that is supposed to tie up all of the loose ends that came from the end of the third season but I’m not sure who the audience would be…after all, the show ended in 2006 and I wonder if anyone even remembers it…I did get some things done yesterday and I now have a clean bathroom for the next few days…I should get on the kitchen today but I might but not with the motivation level I have right now…I do have new coffee this morning and that might help but not yet….more later….
How much more pathetic can trump get?
Well…it appears the John McCain is still in the idiot trump’s head even after death…during the idiot in chief’s trip to Japan last week, someone ordered that the name on the USS John McCain be covered up with a tarp so trump didn’t have to see it when he was touring another ship that was moored near the McCain…and the sailors from the McCain were told they could not come to hear him speak wearing hats that had the name of their ship on them…like everyone else was allowed to do…now, idiot boy said he had nothing to do with it but someone who works for trump knows he is a pathetic, thin skinned moron and would freak out if he saw the name McCain while he was there…and then there would be a huge possibility that the blowup would be ugly and public…so now, the *president has to be protected from names he doesn’t like? We all know that trump can’t read so I guess it’s a good thing…or he would have someone on the government payroll just cutting out words that trump doesn’t like from the daily briefings or newspapers…I wonder who does that at fox news? What a pathetic excuse for a human being…impeach…
May 30th
Well…running about on time for a Thursday after doing the grocery run and getting that done before the rain came in and I may be getting my day off the bike that I have been needing…at least I won’t be going out until this afternoon by the looks of the radar so that will make it a short day…after reaching my goal of 600 miles for the month yesterday, I am going to cut back the riding for a while just to let the constant pain in my legs go away and have them heal up some…slept okay last night but feel a little worn out today and part of it might be not eating enough…as you know, that is a recurring problem that I think I’ll have to deal with today…I did get out to have a couple with T yesterday and that was a lot of fun…always good to see her and have some laughs…I think I still have a small coolant leak in the car so that will have to be dealt with over the next week or so but I am not looking forward to that…just don’t want to work on cars anymore so I may have to spend my fed check to have it fixed…don’t drive a lot so it’s no big deal but just a pain….not much to do today…with the rain I have no excuse to not clean so I think I’ll do some of that today and get the bathroom done this morning….more later…
It’s official…
Well…if you already felt that the repub tax scam was not doing anything for you, it was made official today when the non-partisan Congressional Research Service released it’s analysis of the bill and it’s effects and they are even worse than predicted. Every damn bit of the benefit went to corporations and the rich at the top of the food chain…wage growth for the rest of us suckers didn’t even keep up with inflation as corporate profits soared along with CEO pay….and those soaring profits were used for one thing…stock buybacks that benefited the 1%…no jobs were created, no pay for workers was raised, no nothing. One thing that was raised was the deficit and the scam that the cuts would pay for themselves, something that was touted just last week by the hacks who are now in charge of the economy, has been proven wrong again…as they have every damn time these repub morons lie about it and use that lie to make inequality even worse. This tax scam was never about creating jobs or raising worker pay…it was always about the repubs and the rich figuring out how to loot more of the economy for themselves before the inevitable crunch comes when demand falls since no one can afford to buy anything…that is showing up now in the auto industry where the average price for a pickup truck has soared to over 50,000 dollars…who the hell can afford an 800 dollar a month truck payment? The bill for this nonsense is going to come due soon and there is no one in this administration who has the skills to cope with it….and we are all going to pay for it…oh, except the rich that is…geez….
May 29th
Well…running about on time this morning with not getting up until after 6 and don’t feel too bad right now…just a little slow and trying to wake up and I hope the coffee will help with that…I think this is going to be another morning of an early ride since I want to run the instant pot to cook some chicken that I have thawing…have some red potatoes and some corn that I am gong to throw in, too just to see how it comes out….will probably be over cooked but who knows? I did get three dozen eggs yesterday for 49 cents a dozen so Tom, you’re getting a dozen and a half eggs Monday….so don’t buy any…I’m getting close to my goal on the bike with only 17 miles left to do over the next three days so even if it rains a lot, which it is supposed to do, I’ll make the 600 miles easily….the pain from it is showing up in new places, though, with it mostly in my shoulders and neck but I think part of that is sleeping on my left shoulder all night…..I think I’ll hope for a rain day to take a day off after I get to the goal….not much to do today…I do need to clean but I’m not going to get to it today…might be meeting up with T later today and I am looking forward to that…haven’t seen her in quite a while…more later…
trump does Russia another favor..
Well…if it wasn’t enough that the idiot trump’s tariffs are destroying farms and farmers across the US, guess who one of the biggest winners is in this dispute? Yep, you guessed it, Russia…trump’s buddy Putin just announced a huge new trade deal with China for pork and soybeans to supply the market that the US has “abandoned” according to Putin. Now we know that trump sides with Russia and our other adversaries in almost everything…just look at the example of him siding with Kim of Korea over our intelligence agencies this weekend…but throwing our farmers under the bus to help out Russia should be enough to impeach this son of a bitch today if not sooner. The really stupid thing about these tariffs is that these markets that farmers worked for decades to establish are now gone for a generation or more even if the tariffs were lifted today…and the hatred that the entire world feels for trump is going to be paid for in job losses in every commodity that we export…no one wants to deal with us since there is an ignorant idiot in charge of our interaction with the world and the majority just don’t trust trump or his minions anymore, if they ever did. So, trump voters…this is what you did to this country…are you even a little ashamed yet? Impeach….
May 28th
Well….running a little early today with trying to get this done and get on the bike before 7:30…only have 42 miles left to do to get to 600 miles for the month and it appears I’ll be able to do it…slept okay last night but woke up with my head plugged up from allergies and that is already getting old…I think I may take a couple of days off the bike after I hit my goal just to let my legs heal up since they feel stiff and sore all the time…I am getting tired of the constant pain and without being able to take ibuprofen, I need to just live with it or deal with it another way…oh, well….didn’t get much done yesterday but I will need to do something today to clean this place up.l..cripes, I talk about that a lot and don’t do much about it…hmmm…I was a little disappointed that the storms fell apart last night and we just got a little rain…and the storms that were predicted for the whole week have been downgraded to just some showers so I guess I’ll have to wait for the show…but I guess that makes getting to 600 a little easier….more later….

Well…I’m kind of glad it’s a holiday today since that makes it a bit of a slow news day and I don’t have to listen to anything more coming from the shitshow of a WH we are saddled with…there is one in there about idiot boy’s trip to Japan but I don’t feel like writing about that right now…there’s only so much I can take so I need some mental health time. So, you know what that means…it’s a noodle day and I’ll just start and see where it goes…is it national bike day today, too? I counted over 150 bikes on the trail today on my two rides and that is pretty unusual…I normally see a few but not like today…they were everywhere and the riders were in all shapes and sizes…but damn, leave the spandex in the closet everybody…it doesn’t look good on anyone…haven’t started my car since pool Thursday and that is a long time…didn’t even go out for the paper Sunday but rode the bike over to get one…should probably start it one of these days…I am going to take it out in the next couple of days since Aldi’s has eggs for 49 cents a dozen and I need some of those…but that will probably wait til Wednesday since it is supposed to rain all day and I’ll need something to do if I can’t ride…I really hope I’m not doing permanent damage to my body by riding so much…I’m a little concerned by the fatigue I feel all the time but I think I can ease up at the end of the week if I meet my last goal of 600 miles in a month…that’s enough…I need to take it easy for a while and have some more water…
