Well…yeah, with all of the health crap going on this month I’ve been neglecting this a little bit but I’ll fix that in May…had an okay day today but took it off and went out to meet up with T for lunch and had a lot of laughs but too many beers and that slowed me down for the rest of the afternoon and I have done anything but watch the Indy car race…I did put the top down on the way back from GH since it was sunny and nice there…by the time I got back here, it had clouded over, the temp had dropped, and it started to rain…my ears were really cold when I walked in and they still feel a bit numb….and it looks like I won’t be outside on the bike again til Thurs but I do need to ride so it will be two indoors for the next few days…I did make the sausage lasagna but didn’t cook it so that will be for tomorrow…looks good so I hope it comes out since I have enough cheese to make another one once I get more noodles and the fixings for some soft tacos…maybe tomorrow….

Joe needs to go it alone on the debt ceiling…
Well…if there is anything that we learned from January 6th, it’s that the repubs will do anything to try to take control of the entire country…and that is why they are not going to raise the debt ceiling…they think that allowing the nation to default on it’s debts and crash the US and world economy is a good tool to use to damage Joe Biden for 2024….but that doesn’t mean that Joe can’t do anything about it…there have been a few ideas out there like minting a one trillion dollar coin and depositing it at the fed to draw from…which would work but I’m sure the repubs would sue to stop it, and with the right wing assholes on the SC, they would certainly have the suit upheld…but thew other thing Joe could do is just cite the 14th amendment which requires the US to pay all of it’s debts and it is written into the constitution so it can’t be ruled unconstitutional by the court…and I think this needs to be the attack that Joe makes…can you imagine the ads the dems could write? The repubs are killing grandma by not funding SS…and there are many, many more that should drive any independent to our side since we are the only adults left in the room….so, get on it Joe…paint the repubs for what they are…and do it now….
April 30th
Well…damn, woke up at 5 this morning and just couldn’t get out of bed til 6:30…damn, I’m tired of being cold…it’s only 40 out there and we have another gale warning on for today so I’m taking the day off the bike to let my legs rest a bit….I may be having lunch with T today over in GH but we’ll see….so that pushes the lasagna back til tomorrow…I found the recipe I used before but I have to shrink it down to my 8×8 dish since the big one won’t fit in the new toaster oven…and I thought I had a new box of lasagna noodles but I only have two partials but it looks like it’s enough to make one batch…I think I’m going out to get what I need to make sausage tacos tomorrow…don’t hurt much today even with doing 70 miles the past two days but a rest day is going to be welcome….talked to K yesterday and we are meeting up Friday in Coopersville…haven’t seen her in almost a year…maybe more…so that should be fun…planted a bunch of tomato seeds that had sprouted yesterday but if the cherries don’t take, I won’t have any of those in the garden this year…will probably wait for a week or so to plant the new bean plants but the tomatoes are ready to go in now so that will happen later in the week after the low temp gets back into the 40′s….not much to do today…just going to veg it out and watch F1 that is on right now and then some soccer and the Nascar race later…more later….
Red state terrorism…
Well…with the headlong rush to no gun laws in red states, you can guarantee that what happened yesterday in Texas is going to continue to happen…yesterday some moron was shooting off his AR-15 at 11 o’clock at night in his front yard as he had been doing all day…after the neighbors asked him politely to stop since they had a baby trying to sleep inside, you can guess what happened…yep, he killed them all including an 8 year old…and went on the run…you’re probably going to ask why they didn’t just call the cops? One commenter from Texas laid it out that the cops would come and stand around a bit and do nothing about it…and then later the moron would be so pissed about them calling the cops that he would shoot them anyway…most of the cops in Texas are like this asshole and identify with him and would probably shoot right along with him…this terrorism is all from removing any and all gun laws and fox news keeping these assholes stirred up that they are losing their “rights” and should “fight back”….and this is what happens when anyone can have an AR-15 or similar weapon…I wonder when the people of the red states are finally going to say enough? Yeah, probably never…they are down that right wing rabbit hole and they are never getting out…geez…
April 29th
Well…man, I feel worn out today and I wonder if it’s the 40 miles I did yesterday? Didn’t get out of bed til 7:27 this morning but I feel like I didn’t sleep at all but that is pretty much normal…on the first cup of coffee and I wish there was a caffeine delivery method that worked faster….it looks like I can get at least one ride in outdoors today but that will wait until after the F1 sprint race at 9….had an okay day yesterday and got a lot done but today will be easier with only the rides and cleaning to do…still have leftovers to eat so the lasagna will wait til tomorrow….and I’ll go out to get the ingredients for sausage tacos Monday….need a green pepper and lettuce for that and maybe some salsa…it’s a little funny I have a person from the UK in my Mastodon feed who is jealous of my trip in her country that she hasn’t seen as much of as I am going to see in the fall….jokingly, she wants to join in for part of the trip and I said okay….I’m starting to realize my mortality lately with the new developments with my cancer…and just getting through the UK trip looks like to last goal I’m going to have…not sure if that is depressing or not…haven’t had time to think about it much…or I wonder if I’m avoiding thinking about it….who knows? Well…I really don’t undesrtand the modern repubs at all…are they so stupid that they think that Joe Biden is ever going to go along with cutting Medicaid, veterans benefits, aid for poor children and on an on…you would think they would hold off on patting themselves on the back since the piece of crap bill they passed in the House is going nowhere…I think it is just performance art that the repubs are going to try to use for electoral advantage but no one likes anything that is in it…I mean protecting the trump tax cuts that are responsible for 7 trillion dollars of the national debt while they say tough to the less fortunate in this country and gut all of the programs…no one wants any of this..except for the oligarchs who fund the repubs and buy elections….no one wants the anti trans legislation, no wants gerrymandering, no one wants anything they are selling and yet they try to shove it down everyone’s throats…so independents, help us vote every repub out…it’s the only way…geez…

Well…with all of the stuff I had to do today, I’m just now getting started looking for a topic today so it’s going to be a little later when I find one….I did get 40 miles in on the bike, mowed the lawn, filled a bunch of bare spots in the lawn with seed and dirt, and put the plastic and boards away that I used to cover the garden…and now I’m sitting here at 2:45 with the heating pad on my back and I think I’ve earned a little down time…. so I’m going to sit here for a bit and read some news until I find a topic and come back here for a political one….more later…
April 28th
Well…can I just roll into a ball and soak into the couch today? It is going to be such a busy day today that I’m not looking forward to it…two rides, an errand, and mowing the lawn is going to keep me busy all day and I am not looking forward to it….going to make lasagna with the Italian sausage tomorrow but I need to get out and get the stuff for sausage tacos to make this weekend…I’m so damn worn out that I really don’t want to do anything…think they will be soft tacos with sauteed green peppers, lettuce, and tomatoes but I have leftovers that need to be used first…have been pretty bad at meal planning this week and probably could wait to make anything new til Monday but that means I’ll have to freeze the sausage that is in the fridge….that sounds like a plan and means that I don’t have to go out today…got 23 miles in yesterday and I think that is going to be the plan for today since it is only 43 out there right now and I don’t want to have to do full thermasuit….I really do need a day off but that will wait til Sunday…lots to do today….think I’ll try to streamline the day down to the basics so it won’t be overwhelming…and that means getting on the indoor bike soon but I really don’t want to…more later…
another biopsy
Well…damn, got some bad news from the urologist today…after the doctor saw the MRI, she thinks there may be the aggressive cancer “hiding” in my prostate…so, she wants to do another biopsy with what she can see now…so, I’ll be back in the office in three weeks for another one…one good thing that came out of the MRI is that the cancer is still localized in the prostate and hasn’t spread to anywhere else…I do have a “U” shaped kidney but that is a congenital thing that I was born with like the no discs in part of my back and the hip problems I’ve had my entire life…oh, well…I’m a little depressed from these developments but what can you do?
why hasn’t ted cruz been arrested?
Well…I guess the repubs can do whatever they want…even try to overthrow the government and they just walk away free…in the past few days, a recording of ted cruz conspiring with the idiot trump to try to do just that has been released and my question is: why hasn’t ted cruz been arrested yet? One good thing about this new bombshell is that Jack Smith has the recording and we all have hope he is going to indict these bastards since he does have an investigation going about January 6th and this will fit right in with the rest of it…but why is he still gathering evidence? That one recording should be enough proof to indict right now…what is old ted going to say? That it’s not him on the tape? That it’s a “deep fake” done by George Soros? Not one damn lawmaker that was involved in the coup attempt has even had his or her hands slapped even with their roles recorded for history…that they approved and supported stealing the election…let’s start with ole ted…geez…
