Well…when I was looking to see what my record is for posts in a single month (it’s 105) I just noticed that I’ve been doing this since April of 2010…10 years of doing two of these a day…and that means almost 9,000 of them over the years and that is a lot of writing…and this month will be the second most in one month since I started…and yep, I am cheating some by doing this one but there’s not a placeholder in the bunch and I used to do that a lot when I found a topic but didn’t want to write about it just yet….so this ends out the month on a day when I have really done nothing but look for houses…skipped the bike ride today with the cold and wind gusting to over 30 at times…it does look like I’m going to have to change the way I look at houses since they are selling so fast…will have to pull the trigger as soon as I see one…going to make that my full time job this month with the goal being to have one purchased by the end of December….going to be a little nerve wracking since I probably won’t even have time to look at them and that will ratchet up my stress levels a bit…oh, well…that’s the new normal and I do need to have one bought by the end of the month….or just take my down payment money and find a cabin in Montana and live like a hermit…I am anyway here in GR….hmmmm….

Medical transparency?
Well…have been looking for a political topic all day today without much luck…I could write that Arizona certified it’s vote for Joe today putting what should be the last nail in idiot boy’s voter fraud coffin…but, I’m not….I am laughing about the right and fox news going off about Joe’s doctors trying to hide his medical problems and hooting about “medical transparency” while not even noticing their abject hypocrisy on this subject…yep, Joe does have a medical problem and it is serious…he cracked a bone in his foot when he slipped playing with one of his dogs Sunday…that’s it, having fun being normal playing with his dog and he cracked a bone in his foot…and the howl about transparency? Within hours of going for x-rays for the foot, Joe’s personal doctor made a statement that he thought it was just a sprain but would update after a CT scan that is more accurate…and within minutes after getting the results the doctor reported that Joe had a broken bone in his foot and would be wearing a walking cast for a couple of weeks but would be fine. Now, let’s contrast that with idiot boy’s rush to Bethesda over a year ago….and the lies were that it was just the first part of his “physical” and they wouldn’t share any of the results or why he was really there…and trump never went back for the “second half” and wouldn’t answer any questions about it…now, which incident looks the most transparent to you? It’s all the same bullshit from the right…trump can do whatever he wants and it is okay, but Joe is going to be nitpicked for the next 8 years…after all there was 15 minutes between when his doctor got the results and when he reported them…and that is unacceptable…because Joe is a democrat…bullshit hypocrisy….typical repubs….geez…
Is Manchester United for real?
Well…I was going to combine all three of these sports posts into one but the first one went a little long so I decided to break them up into their component parts as I sit here and try to stay busy…I am a little confused about Man U after their start this year in the Premier League….they were mired down the table at about 15th and it appeared they could be headed to relegation which would be one of the biggest shocks in English football…or soccer…but, something happened over the past few weeks and they have climbed up to 7th, only 5 points from the top and with a good shot of making the top four to get back to the champions league in Europe in the spring. But, damn, they are becoming cardiac kids that is a little stressful to watch…like their game yesterday, they went behind 2-0 early and the score stayed that way until well into the 2nd half when I just turned it off with frustration with how they were playing…but then, like someone turned on a switch, they came back to win in the final minutes of the game 3-2 and I missed it until I saw it on the game highlights later in the day….I was shocked to say the least and maybe I’ll have to stay with them in their next match just to see if it’s a fluke or not….it would be nice to have one team that I follow do well since all of the rest of them really, really suck this year….fingers crossed…
Finally, the Lions fire Patricia….
Well…as you know, the Detroit Lions have been one of the worst teams in football since they won their final championship in 1957, only making the playoffs a few times and never winning a playoff game…and the past three years have been one of the worst stretches in that time…with the current regime going something like 13-39 in that time. But, finally, the head coach and GM of this debacle were fired over the weekend and we start another “rebuild” of the team that seems like it has been going on since I started watching them when I was five or so. Matt Patricia came to the Lions from New England along with the GM Quinn and they were supposed geniuses that were going to bring the “Patriot way” to the Lions…after all the Patriots won 3 super bowls while these two were there so they just had to be great….but, not so much….they failed miserably in Detroit and joined the long line of other “saviors” that failed to even put a credible team on the field…so now the rebuild begins and we wait another two years until the Lions can be even a mediocre team….I could be dead by then…I think we need a new team here in Michigan….geez…
A little sports….
Well….I have been sitting here pondering whether or not to go out for a ride and have come up with many reasons not to…okay, not reasons but excuses but they look like reasons to me…it’s cold, the wind is blowing, I have coffee to finish, my legs are sore…you get the idea…but, that’s not what I wanted to talk about…if you watched the F1 race yesterday, you saw one of the most horrifying crashes that I have ever seen…Roman Grosjean, driving for the American Haas team cut across the track to avoid a car that was trying to spin out and clipped the front of another car that sent it straight into the guardrail at around 140 mph….when the car hit, it broke in half, puncturing the fuel tank and driving the drivers protective cell straight through the guardrail leaving it stuck in it and engulfed in fire….track marshals arrived quickly but it looked to be a fatal accident…then, you see the driver climbing out of the remains of the car and running away from the scene with the help of the doctor and driver of the medical car…I was shocked that Roman even survived the crash, but to see him walking away was one of the coolest things I have ever seen…and yesterday evening, he posted a video with his burned hands saying he would be okay and he was in good spirits and looking forward to getting back to the track…go out to you tube and watch it…it is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen at a racetrack….
November 30th
Well…another 4:27 morning today and whenever that happens, the car geek in me immediately thinks of the engines that both Ford and Chevy made that were 427 cubic inches…yeah, I know…I’m weird…but, I slept okay and that isn’t…well..maybe it is the way I normally sleep….kind of sore today after going out hard and keeping it up the entire ride….it was nice to get out in a normal hat and just my riding gloves yesterday but I think that is just about over for the year…but I can get out in full thermasuit so I guess that’s no big deal…didn’t get a whole lot done yesterday with sports on…I am going to talk about a crash in the F1 race that was one of the worst I’ve ever seen but that will be later when I do a sports update…haven’t talked about that in a while and there have been things happen that I want to comment on…the birds still haven’t found the feeders yet and that is kind of strange with how many of themĀ that have been flocking under the awnings…it’s been three days but last year it took them 3 weeks to find them and I wonder if the ones that found and fed off them last year are all gone or if they don’t have very good memories…..I never got one hummingbird to the feeder this year and I just took it down the other day…will need to bring it in and clean it today since the sugar water will leave it sticky….not much to do today….have an easy morning with having to wait to go out on the bike and just having this to do until then…oh, and the news and lots more coffee….more later….
Care package…
Well…you know, when I talked about a “care package” in the last one and still use it in conversation sometimes, I probably should explain what it is since it’s not common knowledge anymore…when I was a kid there was an organization called Care that sent out packages of food, medicine, and clothing to impoverished areas of the world…so whenever I get anything free, I call it a care package…and I got one today from Priority Health that had 2 facemasks, 2 temperature sensors, a band aid holder with band aids, and a deck of cards that have the biggest damn numbers on them I have ever seen…I wonder if they think I’m getting old? Still, it’s pretty cool anytime you get free stuff and I’ll use it….
This is funny…
Well…just sitting here checking out the care package the Priority Health sent me and remembered I hadn’t come back here today and I did have something to talk about that I think is pretty damn funny. I really do think that idiot boy trump truly believes that there has been voter fraud going on…he believes it so much that he spent 3 million bucks of his stupid followers money for a partial recount in the “urban” counties of Wisconsin…can you guess how that came out? Yeah, the funny part is that trump spent 3 million bucks to find 87 net votes for Joe….and this is idiot boy’s entire life…spend other people’s money that he doesn’t give a damn about losing since it is his superpower…losing money that is….he is so damn good at it that he even lost money running casinos…and he is the only person in history to do that…..I wonder what the next fundraising e-mail is going to be? “If we just spend a little more money, we can win”…..and he’ll hit the rubes up for more cash as he is ushered out the door….a day I just can’t wait for….geez…
November 29th
Well…that was better…my stomach was okay all night and didn’t wake me up once and I slept in all the way to 6:03 when the coffee maker signaled it was time to get up….I think I slept okay but had no dreams that I can remember and that is a little annoying with how many I have been having lately….I was really expecting my right shoulder to be screaming at me after raking the leaves yesterday but it doesn’t hurt at all today even with sleeping on it last night….it was probably a good idea to take some ibuprofen last night….I did get a ride in yesterday and will probably ride again today but that will wait until the afternoon since I just can’t get motivated right now and it is still dark…and the F1 race is on at 9 along with Man U so I am going to just ease into the day and have lots more coffee….I really do need to clean this place up today and continue to work on the kitchen after getting the oven done yesterday…and it’s about time to wrangle the dust again since there is a thin coating on everything…I do need to get some new furnace filters this week and I hope that helps with the dust but with how old this house is, it probably won’t….not much to do today…and this time, that is true….just going to watch some sports and fool around here some….more later….
Got a few things done…
Well…I think my experiment for today has proven that the turkey I cooked was off….had everything that I had yesterday except for turkey for lunch and my stomach is perfectly fine….so that is all going in the trash including the carcasses so no turkey soup this year….and I got a few things done today….got the last of the leaves moved behind the garage to compost, got the bird feeders put back together, up, and filled, and then washed the shifter on the bike since the 5-6 shift is still annoying me and I wanted to clean it again before I start adjusting it…oh, and I did laundry and left a paper towel in the sink which plugged the drain up and flooded the floor…luckily it just runs over the top of the sink and then down the floor drain so no big deal….oh, another thing I almost forgot…cleaned the oven today, too, so I did get a few things done after feeling crappy and being a total veg yesterday…but now it’s time to take it easy for a while and watch some soccer….
