Well…I seem to be Trumped out for the moment so I don’t think I’ll do another one about him right now…okay, just one thing…it was reported today that the Trump campaign is running out of money and won’t be able to run any ads until late July…all I have to say about that is yay…that means that he is not even running a campaign really….and the money that he is going to need is expected to come from the state repub orgs which will leave the down ballot races with less money so ole Trump could suck the entire party into a black hole…yeah, I know, their ideas ARE a black hole and they deserve to disappear across the event horizon….okay…..what next? More Trump? Oh…Mitch McConnell said over the weekend that Trump “won’t change the republican party”…and I laughed about that…since Trump IS the republican party and his hatred and ignorance have been a proud characteristic of the repubs for more than 40 years…I mean evolution is wrong? That the US was formed as a christian nation? All nonsense that the repubs believe and they either don’t believe science or understand it….and living your life to a 2,000 year old book written by ignorant goatherders? Maybe ole Trump can do so much damage that the party will have to change to get past it…we can hope anyway….

Allergies and other stuff….
Well…as you can see, I still need to do two more of these today so I thought I’d just noodle around and see what happens….my allergies are getting quite bad with the warm weather that has come over the past week or so…I think I’ll have to take something for it later today…I did get the car washed but I am not sure what is happening to the birds around here….after about 20 minutes of having a clean car, the entire hood was covered in bird crap again….can’t remember a year where it was this bad…and the dust everywhere is not helping, either…it has been a good morning so far but, this one is a filler until I get to the Trump one for the day…geez…it makes me feel bad to just write about that idiot…maybe I won’t…more later…
May 31st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but, as seems to be the case lately, I didn’t get anything done….not going to promise that today will be any different…I do need to wash the car and make a short grocery run and I may work up to that….slept crappy again and I am getting tired about that but not going to bitch much…feel pretty beat up today and it’s my fault for going too hard on the bike but it’s the only way to get rid of the guilt from having cocktails…one of these days I am going to just take a day off and do nothing and let my body heal up….I need more coffee so I am going back to the couch for one more cup and then drag myself out and get going….more later….
What could 8 trillion buy?
Well….have been stewing a little today with the waste of our military people for trumped up wars that the old, fat, stupid Bush administration got us into…I am just so tired of the need for more burials, more memorials, and more waste of the young people of the US just to feed the egos of the war makers…I think the Black Sabbath song “War Pigs” is the perfect description for these asses…but, then there is the monetary cost of this folly that the country will be paying for long after my kids are gone…for 8 trillion dollars you could fix every road, every bridge, every water system, every school, every environmental disaster that needs to be fixed in this country….you could pay for a full college education for the next two generations of kids and have them graduate debt free…..you could give everyone on SS a 50% raise and pay for healthcare for the entire country….this is what those idiots in the Bush administration did…they wasted the future of this country just so Dick Cheney could play tough guy…so he could play out his fantasy of being the smartest guy in the room…and for that the country rots from the inside….
Memorial Day…
Well….as I said earlier, this is going to be a post that will ruffle some feathers given the military fetish this country has….watching the races yesterday and it being Memorial Day today, I was struck by the fake regard that was woven through the broadcasts….with Nascar going so far as to put the names of soldiers who were killed in action on the windshields of all of the cars in the race. Now, I think it’s fine to honor people who died in service to this country but, really, isn’t there a better thing we could do? Like maybe not get them killed in the first place? That is the only thought that pops into my head when I hear of people that were killed in the fake, trumped up war in Iraq…a war that didn’t need to happen and that destabilized the entire region and has cost the US almost 8 trillion dollars…I think it’s time to rethink the ever growing military and the budget for it…it’s time to bring the troops home and let the rest of the world take care of itself…no more death for our soldiers…..
May 30th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done….slept okay last night but feel worn out today and I’m not sure why…well…yeah, I know why and I should feel better after coffee and getting the normal stuff done this morning….not too sore today but my shoulder is still giving me some grief and hurting….haven’t taken anything for it for the past few days so I think I can today…not sure if I’m eating enough but I don’t feel like it…maybe I’ll make some toast before the ride….I did do the race day thing yesterday and the races were okay but nothing really scintillating….feel like I missed something yesterday…oh, I do have one to do on the military worship that was part of the entire day yesterday…and I don’t think it will be too popular…not much to do today…going to just ease into it and do the normal stuff…more later…
You’re going to pay for it…
Well…still hate writing about Trump but I’m behind for the month and need to do two more of these today…it is well known that Trump is a tax cheat and feels that paying taxes is like “throwing money down the drain”….so who do you think would pay for all of the extra money he wants to spend on the military? Not guys like him or corporations, that’s for sure…so who’s left? Yep…you and me by either cutting SS or raising our taxes…but, for a guy who reveled in people losing their homes so he could make profit in 2008 and who lies, and lies, and lies, you won’t hear that from him…he is going to magically run the economy just like all the rest of the repubs…on faith….and if we all just trust him, everything will be huuuuge….god, I hate this guy….
May 29th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I just totally vegged out and today looks much the same with it being race day of the year…slept okay last night but feel a little crappy today…just feel worn out but I will get out on the bike between Monaco and Indy….okay…race is starting…be back later….
Okay…the race is going on but nothing is happening so I thought I’d come back and finish this one….my shoulder is sore again today and it hurt like crazy on the bike yesterday so I think I’ll take some aspirin before I get on it….I do need to clean today but since it is race day, I don’t think I will….not much to do today….will probably just nap during Indy but I am going to grill the last rib that is in the marinade for lunch…more later….
On a lighter note…
Well….after that last one, I think I need to do one of these where there is not such a tone of despair….I did get a couple of new shows downloaded to my son’s server….”The Man from Uncle” and “Get Smart” were quite popular when I was a kid in the 60′s but I am running the risk of ruining my memories of the shows of the era…like I told Tom the other day, I was a huge fan of of “The Equalizer” when it was on in the 80′s and I just started watching it again on one of the strange new channels on the dish…yow….what a lousy show….stilted acting, terrible writing, very cliched….so bad that I won’t watch any more of that one…and I hope that I won’t say the same of the rest of them….television was just a very different thing back then and I hope I don’t judge that time with the same eye that sees “Game of Thrones” every week….just some thoughts…
The sad state of politics…
Well…never in my life have I seen what is happening now on the US political scene…a major political party nominating the biggest liar there has ever been in politics? Ole Donald doesn’t just lie one day and then the next, but the lies can and do come in every sentence and he contradicts himself from one word to the next….and his supporters don’t care since they have been unleashed to be the racist bigots they always were but, before Trump, the society curtailed some of the behaviors that we now see at every Trump rally…that it was not okay to call people racist epithets but now Trump does it so it must be okay. What do you do with a candidate who has no shame, who doesn’t care that he lies, who doesn’t care who he hurts, who doesn’t care how many people he puts out of work…and what do you do with a media who is so ratings driven that they let Trump lie and lie with no threat of stopping his wall to wall coverage….I have been troubled by the demise of traditional media for many years now…and the disappearance of any reporter who will call bullshit on the idiots who have been allowed to lie repeatedly and rot this country from the inside…not sure what can be done….
