Well…as more and more information comes out about who has been supporting Russia and it’s banks, there have been a few surprises revealed in the past couple of days. One of them was the Kentucky teacher’s retirement fund that was the second largest investor in Sberbank, one of the banks that has just been sanctioned for supporting Putin and his invasion of Ukraine…initial reports were that the fund lost over 12 million dollars as the shares in the bank fell to junk status…and that would be bad enough to put teacher’s retirements at risk with investments in a bank that has been involved in many shady investments over the years…but just today, representatives from the teacher’s fund said “oh, no….we sold all of the investments the day before Russia invaded”…and that either has to be the smartest fund manager in the world or he was tipped off by the bank or any one of Moscow Mitch McConnell’s Russian contacts…you know, the Russian oligarchs that he pals around with and who he got sanctions removed from for their part in getting the idiot trump elected in 2016…and who said they were going to invest hundreds of millions in an aluminum plant in Kentucky that went pfffft once the sanctions were lifted….this whole thing screams of insider trading on the part of the fund manager that the feds should be looking into right now…and into who recommended investing American money in a corrupt Russian bank in the first place…who got paid off to do it would be my first question…of many, many others…geez…

Call Mitch what he is…
Well…with the asshole Mitch McConnell threatening to crash the whole world’s economy by making the US default on it’s debt, we need to start calling ole Mitch what he is…an economic terrorist. Just yesterday, the stock market tanked almost 800 points costing investors over a trillion dollars and the consensus is that it was Mitch’s posturing on letting the default happen that was the trigger…and the sick thing is that he doesn’t care at all…during idiot boy’s administration, Mitch voted to raise the debt ceiling 3 times…adding over 8 trillion to the national debt but as always when there is a dem president, Mitch takes the world hostage just because he can…now, if this same thing was done by some hacker somewhere or some private citizen, the FBI would be all over the case and they would spend many years in jail for economic terrorism…but Mitch gets away with all of the criminality because he’s a senator…and I’m tired of it…he has ruined the supreme court by stealing three seats and filling them with right wing ideologues and now he is ruined the full faith and credit of the US just to score political points and extend his power…and it is sick that one man is allowed to do it…geez…
Cry me a river, mitch…
Well…you know I’ve railed about the oozing hypocrisy that coats everyone on the right and gets worse every time one of these morons opens his or her mouth…and now we have the hypocrite in chief, ole moscow mitch, crying his eyes out that corporations are being mean to repubs by opposing their attempts to suppress votes of black and brown people by speaking out against them…and the hypocrisy is not just oozing from ole mitch but is flooding out as fast as the pollution from the retention ponds in Florida. Let’s take a little walk back to 2011 when mitch was full of glee that the SC ruled that corporations had free speech rights to spend as much money as they want in an election in the Citizen’s United decision….and ole mitch couldn’t heap enough praise on it since he knew that most companies would give more to repubs than dems…but now? The hypocrite mitch is howling that companies should shut up and not interfere in the political process…but only if it goes against what the repubs want…and he has gone so far as saying that companies will “pay” if they keep it up…a not so subtle or legal threat that the tax breaks, etc. that the repubs have lavished on companies over the years might be at risk if they keep telling the truth about the repubs efforts to cheat in the 2022 elections. Suck it up, mitch…you can’t have it both ways…and companies are looking at the demographics of their customer base and it is more than just the old white people that the repubs serve….and you can bet they won’t want to alienate much more than 50% of their customers who are now black, brown, and lgbt people….just keep it up mitch…you’re speeding up the death of the repub party by this crap and that death can’t happen soon enough….
Mitch is not too smart…
Well…with the revelation of Joe’s infrastructure plan that would spend another 3 trillion dollars to fix everything that the repubs have left go to rot to give tax breaks to the rich, it appears that old mitch mcconnell is not the master tactician that he has been said to be…just the other day, old mitch came out and gauranteed that not one repub would vote for the bill in the senate…I don’t think that is the smartest thing he could have done; giving away his tactics and freeing up Joe to just ignore everything that mitch has to say and taking his case directly to the American people….after all the bill is pretty popular with both dems and repubs that are not in congress and the thing they like the most is having the rich and corporations pay for it. Again, I have to ask..”who the hell are repubs representing anymore?” It sure isn’t their constituents in the polls that have been done since more than half of the repubs want this bill to go through…and who can be against fixing the crappy roads, bridges, and everythnig else? I know the repubs are against it because they have been told to be by their corporate masters but corporations don’t vote and the way the repubs are pissing them off with their voter suppression bills across the country, the dollars could be drying up just as they have started to in Georgia….and Texas is next. I don’t think the repubs have realized that times have changed and the dems have changed…we are not going to believe the stalling and lies anymore and we’ll go on without them if we have to…and it’s about damn time….
Doesn’t this look like a bribe?
Well…I guess those of us who live in the ethical real world thought this deal was fishy from the start…but repubs were perfectly fine with it…damn, buried the lede again…okay, let’s back up…you remember last year when moscow mitch mcconnell spearheaded the removal of sanctions from the Russian aluminum company Rusal in return for the bribe of Rusal building an aluminum plant in Kentucky? The owner of Rusal, Oleg Derispaska, was under sanctions since he is part of the Russian organized crime families that support Putin in everything he does, including throwing the 2016 election to the idiot trump. So now, Rusal has pulled out of the project and you can guess why…moscow mitch is no longer in charge of the senate and the idiot trump can no longer give Putin everything he wants so this bribe will no longer work…and the Russians have cut their losses in Kentucky and are going home with the sanctions still lifted which is what they wanted anyway….they really had no intention of ever investing 200 million dollars in Kentucky and they either duped ole Mitch or he was in on it and knew that dangling the jobs from this vaporware project would help him get re-elected even if not one of them ever materialized. Now this would be a good time to start an investigation of how this all came about to go along with the investigation of mitch’s wife who used her government position at the Commerce department to help her family shipping company in China…what a damn corrupt family….geez…
A scorched Earth threat?
Well…As talk increases on what to do to reform the filibuster in the Senate to keep moscow mitch from killing all the legislation that country needs to move forward, he has started to threaten the dems with a “Scorched earth” policy that he will use to pass all the things the dems don’t want like militarization of the Southern border, outlawing all abortions and taking voting rights away from everyone the repubs don’t think should vote…you notice that there is not one thing in that list that does anything to move the country forward or help anyone? After the threat was made, the majority whip, Dick Durbin, basically replied with “bring it” and then asked mitch why that is any different from what he did with Merrick Garland’s nomination to the supreme court and mitch calling himself the grim reaper; making sure that popular legislation passed in the house died in the senate when he controlled it. I am happy to see that the dems are still showing a backbone and are meeting threats with promises and action that helps most of the country…and that means reforming the filibuster but doing away with it or, at the very least, making the repubs actually hold the floor by being there and speaking instead of phoning in their objections without doing any work. I’m glad to see the even Joe is getting on board to these changes to get the rest of his agenda passed to protect our democracy from the hundreds of bills that the repubs are pushing to make voting harder for dems especially…it’s about time…
It’s all about the money….
Well..in case anyone thinks that moscow mitch has grown a conscience over the past week by criticizing trump and his incitement of treason, just don’t…the only reason that mitch is saying one word is that the big donors who were just fine with trump until the capital attack have started to tell him that the money taps are going to be turned off for every one of the traitors who tried to overturn the election by objecting to certifying the EC votes…and that means 10 repub senators could lose in the next election and that would keep mitch out of power as he is now and he just can’t take that….so, the noise that mitch might allow the repubs in the senate to vote to convict trump is all about the cash and is not in any way related to a change of heart or doing the right thing…it’s just another one of mitch’s calculations of what is best for mitch….nothing more…
McConnell doesn’t give a damn about Americans…
Well…if moscow mitch couldn’t get any worse, it was reported today that even though he didn’t care enough about Americans to work on a covid relief bill over the past 7 months, he now seems to be in a hurry to get something passed…and it is for the most cynical reasons you can imagine….the only reason he is doing anything is to give the two repub senate candidates in a runoff in Georgia a boost and to try to save his majority in the senate…not because people are going hungry, not because people are being evicted from their homes, not because people are dying across this country, not because small businesses are dying at a staggering rate…but just because he needs those two senate seats to keep his job as majority leader….and that is just sick. I can’t understand why the people who voted from him continue to do it…nothing he has done in his entire time in the senate has benifitted anyone but he and his family…okay, and the Russian oligargh that gave him 200 million dollars to build an aluminum plant in Kentucky…oh, and that oligarch was under sanctions for being a criminal but moscow mitch worked his ass off to get those sanctions lifted and I wonder what other rewards mitch got for lifting those sanctions? If anyone is in running for the worst person in the world along with the idiot trump, it is moscow mitch…the person who has done more damage to the US than any other person in it’s history…what a traitor….
Barrett knows it’s a scam…
Well…god, I hate these smarmy assholes in the repub party…in the “hearings” for Amy Barrett, she comes unprepared with no notes and with that repub smile on her face that says “let’s get this over…we all know this is a scam” and can’t even answer the most basic questions about the law…or won’t answer them because she knows the fix is in and she could sit there reciting the ABC’s and she will still get every damn repub senator to vote for her. One question she was asked was if the idiot trump could postpone the election…which the answer is no…congress and only congress sets the date for the election…and then she had the biggest tell of all when she went on and on about having to listen to the litigants and then rule on the case…just what he has been told to do by trump and mcconnell and the major reason she is even there…so when trump loses and sues to try to overturn the election, she will go along with any stupid reason they give and rule for trump. One other question she was asked was if she thinks climate change is real…and her answer? I’m not a scientist and haven’t read anything about it…another one of the many lies she has told in the “hearings” and she knows that she can keep it up, again because the fix is in. So, the destruction of any remaining shred of moral authority that the SC had is now obliterated by trump, mcconnell, and barrett and we are left with no choice but to expand the court to try to rebuild the public trust in another institution that trump has ruined….every damn time a repub is elected, we have to come in and clean up after them as they crap all over this country….
Pack the courts…
Well…the shortsighted asshole who runs the repub party, Mitch McConnell, is going to jam through another SC justice before the election to replace RBG…never mind that the hypocrite in chief running the senate had a “rule” that said that you can’t approve a new justice in the last year of a president’s term…but we all know that only applies to dem presidents….so I say let him…and then we need to get out to vote to ensure that we take back the WH and senate…then play some damn hardball for a change…and that would mean expanding the SC to 15 justices and appointing liberal justices to all 6 of the new seats…after all, moscow mitch has been tearing the rules of the senate up to jam through unqualified judges for the past 4 years and we need to grow a spine in response. The number of SC justices is set by law, not by the constitution and all we would have to do is pass a new law saying that there are now 15…but, let’s not stop there…if the repubs want to break every convention to get their right wing asshole judges installed to go against the will of the people…especially on Roe v. Wade where 70% of the American people want it left alone…then we need to respond in kind and expand every damn court and blunt the damage that the repubs have done. Then, we need a real investigation of Brett Kavanaugh and impeach the lying sexual assaulter and get him off the court….we need to let the repubs know that if they jam through this RBG replacement, there will be hell to pay….but we need the entire government in our hands to make them pay…so, get out and vote…
