Well…have been pretty depressed all day with the dental work starting tomorrow and not being able to chew for months as they pull three more teeth and the we have to let the swelling go completely down before they can fit me with the partial dentures…another 861 bucks out of my pocket but I think we’re getting to the end of it…I hope…these endless appointments with my doctor and dentist are starting to get really old…and I just want them to end…not sure if they are going to pull all three teeth tomorrow but I hope they do so we can just get it over with…so I’m not going to feel like doing much the rest of the week…but I am going to have cocktails tomorrow to help me deal with it…didn’t get much done today other than the two rides and reading and no cocktails tonight since I want to feel okay with all of the work tomorrow…just want to get it over with…

Goodbye doctors…
Well…gee, you wouldn’t think that putting a vaccine denying moron in charge of the health system in the US would have any effect at all…but it has and it is stunning…first, the attacks on Canada by the idiot trump has all but stopped Canadian doctors from moving to the US for open jobs that we don’t have enough doctors to fill…and thousands of US doctors have been looking to move to Canada with all of the uncertainty that trump’s wrecking ball attacks on medical research has imposed…pair that with the draconian abortion laws that have been passed in red states that are tying doctor’s hands from saving women’s lives and doctors are saying enough…they are not only leaving red states but now they many of them are trying to leave the country just to get away from the maga bullshit they have to put up with every day….and who knows…my doctor is from Panama and could be deported at any time…that is how crazy things have gotten in the US…and soon there won’t be any doctors left here if this crap keeps up…geez…
March 31st
Well…man, I’m beat today and it’s only 30 degrees out there and snowing and that is damn depressing…and it’s the last day of being able to chew for me and that is depressing, too…oh, well…won’t be getting 30 miles in today since it’s not getting much over 40 and I’m just too tired of the cold…slept okay last night and it is strange that I have been waking up on my back when I haven’t been able to sleep on it for 50 years…we had nice storms come through here yesterday and it greened up my lawn a lot but the tasks of taking care of it is not appealing this year…and I don’t think I’m doing a garden this year after the fiasco last year of not getting one tomato…or anything else and that has never happened before…I mean how the hell do you have 30 tomato plants and not get a tomato that is edible? Damn, it’s after 7 and I can’t get moving so I won’t be on the bike before 7:30 and I feel like a slug…today is harder than most to get moving but I know I need to…it’s only going to be a two ride day indoors and I may just read and eat my last hard foods and start to plan soft stuff…I just hate that my body is giving up on me and I wonder what is going to be next? Fog…
Well…as I was sitting here reading some news this afternoon, I noticed that the little weather widget at the bottom of the screen said 60 degrees and cloudy after all the rain all morning…so I suited up and went out for and outdoor ride and ran right into a fog front that was sliding across Muskegon Lake and it was really foggy all the way from there out to Lake Michigan…I could barely see in the tunnel of trees and I couldn’t see Lake Michigan from my water stop…and the problem was that I was dressed right for 59 degrees but the temp dropped about 10 degrees in the fog and I wasn’t dressed for that…oh, well…I survived it and it was a nice ride to get me to almost 30 for the day…no Stupid today but he’s not out there every day…finished up the 2nd book today and I’m going to start the 3rd one right now…
Have at em France…
Well…the racist bullies in the WH are back at it again, this time the target is France but France is having none of it…the idiot trump had the US embassy in France send out letters to French companies telling the that they would be breaking the law here if the kept up their DEI (diversity, equality, inclusion) programs and would not be allowed to do business in the states…and the French response was a good one: “US interference in French companies’ inclusion policies is unacceptable just like it’s unjustifiable tariff threats…France and Europe will defend their companies, consumers, but also our values”…so two days, two countries who have tired of the asshole’s threats and have hit back…and this crap only strengthens the desire of the rest of the world to pull together against idiot boy and his minions and further isolates the US and will probably crash our economy…but these racist assholes don’t care…but the world does…geez…
March 30th
Well…finally, back to the normal routine and I really did miss it…getting my first cup of coffee and coming here to do one of these has been my thing since 2010 and it has been comforting for 15 years…I did sleep okay last night and that has been the story for a couple of months now so I’ll take it…it looks like no outdoor rides today with the rain coming in and the fact that it is cold out there at only 45 degrees and I really don’t want to be cold…so it will be one indoor ride to start and then see if the weather cooperates to let me get an outdoor one in…but that means I need to get on the bike in 17 minutes and I’m not ready for that yet…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and probably won’t today but I’m not sure about that yet…don’t have to cook with lots of bacon for blt’s and the last bowl of Masala but I have no clue what I’ll make tomorrow…don’t have much in the freezer but I do have pasta and garlic bread and I can take some soup out of the freezer since I won’t be able to chew after Tuesday…oh, well…down to 13 minutes before the bike and I need more coffee….more later…
Oh, Canada…
Well…the dominoes have started to fall with the idiot trump’s boorish behavior toward our allies with the new PM of Canada giving a speech yesterday saying that Canada is done with the US and trump’s bullshit threats and tariffs and are going to integrate their economy and defense with the EU and the US can just go to hell…and he bluntly said that Canada’s relationship with the US is ended…so idiot boy takes our closest ally and tries to bully them and they did what I proposed every nation should do…ignore the idiot trump and the idiots he has in his administration…I know they are going to try to spin this as a good thing, but shattering our relationship with our closest ally that has existed for over 150 years due to the rantings of a delusional bully is the worst diplomatic failure in the history of this country…and the EU is not inviting anyone from the US to their security conference and are going to go it alone along with shutting off any new purchases of US weapons and instead buying it from the UK and EU countries…so it looks like the idiot just revitalized the EU’s military production and gave up every bit of influence we had there just so he can be the stupid bully he is…and here’s the money quote from Canada’s PM Mark Carney: “the era of deep economic, security, and military ties is over”…now that is how you handle an ignorant bully…good on ya, Canada…geez…
March 29th
Well…up early again this morning but I had to be with needing to get three in before 11 so I could see some races…and I did get three rides in but but I got WET on the third one when it wasn’t supposed to rain out here until the afternoon…luckily I had my rain gear on so I stayed dry from my head to my waist but was soaked from waist down and I’m not sure if my shoes will be dry before tomorrow…it is supposed to rain heavily tomorrow so I may just do indoor rides and call it good sine I’ve had three days in a row over 30 miles…Stupid the turkey was alongside the trail today and when I rode by him he started following me up the hill at full run and a guy on the street rolled down his window and said “hey, do you know you have a turkey following you?” and I said “yep, that’s Stupid” and laughed my butt off…when I was coming back I noticed Stupid was standing in a driveway across the street watching a guy unload his car from about 5 feet away…and was acting like it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen…strange, strange bird but very entertaining…okay, have a political one to do and wand to try to remember what the topic was….more later
I’m baaaack…
Well…my site is finally working again but only on my laptop…some error on my phone and tablet but I told my son so I think he can fix it…I hope…man, I am so used to doing three of these a day that it left a big hole in my life…okay, phone and tablet are now working so I’m back to as normal as I can be…after doing 13,000 of these, it does become a big part of my life and there were news items that I was itching to write about so I have an hour to try to get caught up…more later…
Got some deals today…
Well…today was grocery run day and I got some deals at DD…I mean hard salami at 2.00 a pound? Or thin sliced chicken breast for 2.00 a pound, too? I even got an outdoor ride in this afternoon and that felt good and I’ll be sore from that and going up on the weights from 5 to 8 pounds on the low side and I can already feel it just sitting here…I did finish up the last book today so I can go to the library tomorrow and get 4 more…Muskegon Lake has started dropping again after recovering a foot last week and I wonder how low it can go? I’ll bet if it gets much lower they will have to dredge or the gravel freighters won’t be able to get in to the docks…so I did a 29 mile day today with two indoor and one outdoor ride..and it looks like I’ll be able to get outdoors again tomorrow for two rides then it’s going to rain for three days…so I’ll miss the almost 60 degree weather and it will plunge back into the 40′s until the second week of April…oh, well…
