Well…I am getting a little worn down by the stupidity on the right these days…it seems that everything that happens is a scandal, especially everything that the government does while Obama is president…and now, with the crashing of a hard drive at the IRS, there is a brand new fake scandal the the right is pushing….they really do think they have found the smoking gun here…and that the IRS is hiding things from the house committee that is investigating the “scandal”…using the recycling of the crashed hard drive of an IRS official as “proof”…the only problem is that the hard drive crashed and was recycled in 2011…three years before the “investigation” started…so now, do these repub idiots think we have time machines? Do they really think someone planned for this crash and made it happen because the knew they that at some point in the future, there would be a made up “scandal” and that all of the incriminating evidence would be contained in the one single hard drive? It is getting really fatiguing listening to these idiots and their continual conspiracy theories that are never true…geez…

June 21st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I lost at pool…still okay, though, but it was a boring night last night and I feel crappy today for it…didn’t sleep much but I know that is going to be how it is…didn’t get anything done either but that is what Saturdays are for….I do have to get rid of the leaning tower of papers again and put the trash out…and some laundry while I’m watching soccer today…and I am going to get on the bike here in a minute since I missed yesterday waiting on C to get here….but first, I need to finish up watching F1 qualifying and have my second cup of coffee…more later….

June 20th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but pretty much a wasted one…other than getting the oil changed in the car….slept okay last night…my okay, not a normal persons….I wonder what it would be like to actually sleep all night and wake up not exhausted…I guess I’ll never see that again….I have started cleaning early today since C is coming over so I can take him to the airport for a rental car and that is not a bad thing…just needed a little motivation to get started…not much to do today…pool, of course, and then back here for soccer…it’s a little funny that I’m not tired of it yet even when the US is not playing…but, it is getting in the way of doing much else…maybe I’ll just resign myself to it…more later…
Minnesota wins…
Well…there was an interesting article in the Free Press today that compared the difference of two midwestern states…one run by dems on dem principles, and Michigan run by repubs on repub principles…want to guess which one is doing better…I mean after you get your car out of the huge pothole it just fell into here in Michigan. Of course, it’s the one, Minnesota, run on facts and sound economic principles…not Michigan that is run on ideology and wishful thinking by the crony capitalism that is the repub party. In Minnesota where tax rates on corporations are much higher than here in Michigan, they have enough money to fund their schools, fix their roads, revenue share with their cities and do the infrastructure spending that will pay off in the future with higher growth rates for all their citizens. One thing you have to note is that even with higher corporate tax rates, there is no big exodus of jobs…in fact, their unemployment rate is 3 points lower than Michigan and they have not hollowed out their middle class. Here in Michigan…taxes were raised on retirees, cut for corporations and you can see the results whenever you drive your car….as the roads pound it into dust since there is no tax money to fix them….cities crumble as revenue sharing tax money is given to the rich and corporations, and not one job is created except for more accountants for the CEO’s that have to figure out how to spend all of the new money the have gotten from those tax cuts. All the while these tax cuts hollow out the programs that benefit workers and make Michigan competitive…but the repubs just don’t give a damn about that since workers are just “takers” that take food out of the mouths of the rich. I think everyone needs to read of the failures of the repub economic policies and call them out on it…I have had enough…geez…
June 19th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but, with the lack of sleep, my energy level was really low all day…and I really didn’t make up for it last night like I expected…feeling run down again today but I have things to do so so I guess I’ll just have to suck it up….I do need to change the oil in the car since it has about 7 thousand miles on this change and I need this car to last forever….and, I need to do the grocery run just to pick up a few things….then, there is still soccer on…maybe I can rest a little when that is on today…not much to do today…other than the oil change and the normal workout stuff….I am going to start clearing out the old mail today an then just wing it for the rest of the day…more later….
Weird day…
Well…didn’t want to get farther behind so I think I’ll just do an update and call it good for the day…I did find replacement equipment but, since G is out of town for the week, I had to buy it and it is something completely different than the failed stuff…we’ll see if it works for me or not….I did get the bike ride in between storms…oh, that reminds me, I have to get laundry started….okay, that’s done and now I have to take some allergy stuff since I am sneezing and my head is plugged up…hate this crap…and, no nap today even with only having about 3 hours of sleep and being up since 3:30…maybe tonight I can actually sleep then…who knows?
June 18th
Well…it was a long day yesterday punctuated with having some equipment failure last night that sounded like a jet was landing in my place…and now, I need to deal with that today but with no cash, I’m not sure how that is going to happen. slept really crappy and have been up since 3:30 so there will have to be a nap at some point today…I’m hoping I can borrow some equipment so I don’t have to spend money I don’t have to get back on track…but haven’t heard from G yet and she’s the only option at this point….oh, well….not much to do today….no bike ride since the storms are strung out across Wis and coming here all day so maybe that is a good thing….more later…
World Cup stuff…
Well…I almost forgot to come back to do this one with all of the soccer that has been on today…but that is the topic I wanted to talk about so that would be just too ironic…so far, the matches have been pretty good, especially the US 2-1 win over Ghana last night…one of the most hard- fought games I have seen in quite a while but the US can play so much better…but maybe not the next match with Altidore being injured and no one that I can see to replace him…that is one of the reasons I thought that leaving Donovan off the squad was a bad idea…he would have made a good backup for just this instance and Altidore has been injury prone throughout his career…I guess it will be left up to the no name forwards to break out…I hope they do…or maybe Dempsey? The Mexico/Brazil game just finished a few minutes ago with a 0-0 tie and I’m not surprised…Brazil didn’t look that good in their first match…Mexico looked okay in their first but still not what they can play….I do need to get a life and stop doing nothing but watching soccer….maybe tomorrow….
June 17th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was kind of okay….back to the crappy sleeping…or still sleeping crappy so again, I feel worn out today…and, with the rain, I may have to skip the bike ride since I so want to see the Mexico/Brazil game at noon…there was good news with the US winning their first game last night…oh, going to do a sports one later so I’ll wait to talk about that until this afternoon. I do need to get some stuff done around here again today but feeling as I do, I think it won’t be much…and with eating peanuts again, my guts are screaming at me to stop being such an idiot….more later….
A fun one…
Well…after that last one, I really do need to do a fun one and this one has been fermenting in my head for a few days now….parts of my ride every day take to the roads that connect the trails that I use and a funny thing struck me…there are quite a few car parts that I have been seeing in the road that I think would be essential to the operation of the car…I wonder how long it took for the owners to notice they were missing? Saw an oil dipstick yesterday, a radiator cap today, a tie rod end clamp last week, and always a lot of lugnuts that hold tires on….even found a tire on the rim next to the trail along M6…nice wheel, too, but a few days later it was gone….even saw some brake pads a few weeks back…I know those would be missed…..maybe not…who knows?
