Kasich the moderate?

Well…as you know, every repub that has been elected to a governor’s seat lied to get there…hiding what they truly were about and playing reasonable, moderate, politicians since, if they told the truth about their views and what they were going to do, they wouldn’t get elected. The same kind of crap is now being pushed by Kasich…that he is the more “moderate” candidate that independents can vote for. Yeah…not so much…just start with the 30 bills he has signed restricting a woman’s right to control her own body…and then to the answer he gave a female college student the other day when asked what he would do about the huge amount of sexual assaults on college campuses across the US. His answer? “Don’t go to parties where there is alcohol.” Yep…just like every other misogynist repub who doesn’t really give a damn about any issue that is important to women, he dismisses the questioner with a flippant, stupid comment that shows he’s no moderate…just another troglodyte repub…so, the next time you hear moderate connected to Kasich…just laugh and shake your head…geez….

April 16th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…slept okay last night but was up early this morning for some reason…I am re-thinking my cocktail rules for the NHL playoffs and will go back to the normal sched…just too much and feel too crappy to keep it up…and it costs a lot of money that I don’t want to spend….and the Wings are stinking up the place so I probably won’t watch any more….no pain to speak of today but I think I may take some ibuprofen before I get out on the bike….and I can get out in a few minutes since it is warm enough to get out now…and I need to since Man U is playing at 10….not much to do today…C is coming into town for the first time in 6 months so I am going to hang out with him for a while and then clean some….more later….

The results are in…

Well…it has been kind of a weird day today and I seem to be running late for everything…it may have been working on the car and ordering the new exhaust…yeah…that’s it…but, that’s not what I want to talk about…was just sitting here today thinking about the crap economics that the repubs have been pushing for the past 40 years and the fact that the results are in…that anywhere the tea party asses have been in control have seen their economies and budgets busted by the idiot “faith” that tax cuts will lead to a growing economy and that budget cuts will do the same….not in Kansas, not in Louisiana, not in Michigan…nowhere. In Kansas, the economy is so bad that they can’t even afford to educate their children after the tax cuts to the rich and business…here in Michigan, the love of austerity and tax cuts (only to business) has led to the poisoning of an entire city and cities that are going bankrupt with cuts in state funding…and, after Bobby Jindal got done with Louisiana, a dem had to come in and try to fix the cratered economy and education system. But, the only thing that repubs will learn from this is that they didn’t cut taxes or spending enough…if they had only cut taxes for the rich completely, it would have worked…a delusion that is killing this country…but, the idiots keep getting re elected so maybe the people deserve this crap….geez…

April 15th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…didn’t get anything else done but that was expected so I don’t feel bad about that….feel a little worn out today and I think it’s the allergies again but I’m not sure…the car has gotten louder so I guess I’ll have to get under it today to see if I can see anything…pretty good run of 3 1/2 years of not having to work on it…but, I really don’t have the cash to fix it so I hope it doesn’t get worse….I do need to get out on the bike in a while but even though it is going to be 70 today, it is still in the 30′s now….don’t have any pain right now but I can tell my wrists and elbows are going to later today…oh, well….not much to do today….the car and the bike ride and then some cleaning until the Wings game later….more later…

April 14th

Well…running really late today and feel like crap so this one is going to be short…went out to say goodbye to Nick last night since he is moving to Colorado and that started my night off too early…even skipped the papers this morning since it seemed like just too much effort to go out and that now seems like a good idea….didn’t even get out of bed until 7:30 and can’t get started….need the coffee to get hot right now….

Okay…finally feel good enough to come back here..didn’t want you to think I died or something….did get the car washed and waxed and got half a bike ride in and now I’m getting ready to shoot pool in a few…it was an okay day yesterday but I still didn’t get anything done…much like today but I have an excuse for today….okay…that’s about it for now….should be back for another one later….

This is just too funny….

Well….it has been fun to watch as the dysfunction on the right and the just atrocious behavior by the front runners for the repub nomination have made the party just a toxic swamp of nastiness. But, the funniest thing I’ve read lately was an article a few minutes ago that shows the toxicity to be even worse than anyone thought. Some high ranking repubs are quietly starting to advise their members who are in tight races to skip the convention so they don’t get tarred by what they know is going to a debacle in Cleveland….yep, for the first time since I have been around…and that is a long time, politicians are going to abandon a sinking ship of a convention to try to keep their jobs by “talking” to their constituents and meeting with them instead of going to the convention…the place where every repbub just drools to get to to preen in front of the cameras and get free advertising. I laugh at all this since everyone but the right saw this coming…when you do nothing but stoke fear and hate, what do you expect? Now that their hate is being directed at themselves, they have lost control and the rats are deserting that quickly sinking ship…couldn’t happen to an uglier group of people….geez….

April 13th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done but the bike ride….slept crappy again and we’re back to that pattern so I guess I’ll have to get used to it….the elbow tendons are starting to scream at me again so it looks like it will be ibuprofen all day today to try to get the swelling down….I was really hoping for a pain free summer but no luck….just finished the grocery run and spent 67 bucks that I didn’t have but needed to spend….well…that’s not true, I can afford it but it still hurts to take most of your free cash just for groceries…I did get my new sunscreen that I needed with being able to put the top down the next week or so…got sunburned on the bike yesterday and need to pay attention to that….not much to do today….going to wash and wax the car and then prep for the first Wings playoff game tonight….got a huge ham for 9 bucks today so I may cook that, too, but I’m not sure yet…more later….

The fallout begins to crush NC…

Well…after the idiot repubs in North Carolina passed the anti LGBT law a few weeks back that allows discrimination against those folks…their even more idiot governor told the press that he had not seen any effect on business in the state…yeah, that was then…but now, just today, Deustch Bank pulled a 250 job expansion in the state that goes with Paypal’s 400 jobs that will not be coming to the state…and it gets even worse…in a state economy that does lots of convention and tourism business, the cancellations are now starting to be reported with at least 29 groups cancelling their trips to the state. What does this mean to the tourism industry? The estimate so far is that they will lose almost 90,000 room nights with the cancellations…if we use an average of just $100 per night that makes almost $9 million dollars that the state has lost already and that is just the start. How many jobs will go with the loss of that $9 million? At least another few hundred and the ball is just now getting rolling. I have sympathy for the people being hurt that didn’t want the law passed…with the last poll saying that over 60% of the people there didn’t want the law but the far right haters there just had to do it…it’s the only thing that these idiots know…hate….and I really hope the state continues to pay dearly for these asses actions…they are getting what they deserve…geez…

April 12th

Well…it was an okay day yesterday but it started out really crappy…was having my morning coffee when the handle of my coffee cup broke off with coffee going everywhere….a huge mess that I just don’t need first thing in the morning…and, I’m running late this morning with going out last night and I just can’t get started….slept okay last night but feel pretty crappy today with only eating one meal yesterday and I need to make sure I don’t do that again with getting back one the bike…I know I’ll pay for that later but just couldn’t choke down a second one….I think the tendons are going to hurt again this year with my elbows showing a shade of pain yesterday on the bike and I hope it stays a shade and not the pain I had two years ago where I couldn’t pick anything up without screaming….not much to do today….going to clean a little and then come back here for at least one…it is going to be shorts day tomorrow and I’m not sure if it’s too early…we’ll see…more later…

The idiocy continues….

Well…with the passing of the anti LGBT bills across the south and the reactions to this undisguised hate towards these people, you would think that legislators in other states would think long and hard about enacting that hate in their states. But, no, the idiocy continues and has spread to Michigan with, you guessed it, the repubs here proposing the same kind of legislation here in reaction to the state board of education starting to formulate policies that would protect LGBT students here. What the hell is is with these folks? Why do they seem compelled to use their control over the government to hurt people? That is the modern repub party folks….scream about the federal government taking control over the states and then use the power of the state to take away local control that they love in any other circumstance. Look, you know that I point out this hypocrisy on a regular basis, and you are probably tired of hearing it…but people need to be aware of the damage the repubs are doing to this country….and vote to stop it…geez…
