Well…woke up this morning way too early to no more progress with my foot and that is a little disappointing…I know I abused it working at the house yesterday but I was really hoping that yesterday’s improvement would be continued today….oh, well…and it was another 4:54 morning today and I am really tired of not sleeping even though I stayed up later than normal….I did make a lot of progress on the house yesterday, finishing the kitchen floor, painting the last two windows in the living room and then cleaning that floor, too…and I got the kit I need to get the internet working Monday so I can schedule the movers for week after next…and that is not a minute too soon…I think all the driving is wearing on the car and is not running right….I think it may be the spark plugs I put in a month or so ago and I think I’ll replace them with the platinum ones I normally use…the engine is just not smooth like it used to be and all I need to do is get it to winter when I’ll put it in the garage and work on it to fix all the little things that are wrong with it…I do need to cook today and get rid of some trash that will leave almost half of this place empty…and one of sons may be stopping by with being on this side of the state for a funeral…and it is too cold to get out on the bike until this afternoon so I may take the luxury of just starting the day off slow…more later,,,

Well…cripes, I just saw that I didn’t come back here for a second one yesterday and I am going to blame it on the pain in my foot…it did hurt like crazy all day and doing the errands I needed to do made it worse to the point I couldn’t get my shoe on anymore…but, when I woke up this morning I can feel progress and it doesn’t hurt as much as it did yesterday…I’m still walking funny favoring it and I think I now can feel a reaction to the flu shot I got Tuesday….feeling warm and coughing so maybe it’s actually a bug? Who knows? But, I do know the pain from this bout of gout…ha, that’s funny…was the most pain I’ve felt since the bike crash last year…and I’m probably going to aggravate it working on the house today…going to be over there most of the day waiting for a UPS delivery that will allow me to get my internet up and running Monday…then, the race to the move starts and I should be over there the week after next…got some of the kitchen loaded up yesterday and will maybe finish that over the weekend…don’t want to move my spices or pots yet since I do need to cook but everything else will be gone before next week…or, maybe I’ll take the weekend off and just hang out and veg to try to get my foot healed completely…I am having a couple with K this afternoon to celebrate the move and that should be fun….more later…

Well…running a little late today with doing a hobbling grocery run and my foot feeling like fire with every step….but, that is not the worst of it…just getting a shoe on is the most pain I have felt in years and even ibuprofen does nothing to help it…so, I may be resting it some today…Thursdays are normally days off anyway but that is to do my food errands but I think today will just be taking care of the foot…of course, I didn’t sleep for crap last night since the weight of just the sheets set the pain in my foot howling and there was no way to get comfortable…so, I am exhausted again today but need to load the car up for the trip over to the house tomorrow…but that is going to wait for a while as I let the coffee work some…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but do some repairs on window frames so I can sand and paint to get ready to buy some new shades and install them next week….I may try to get started to clean this place today but I have all month so we’ll see how the foot feels…I’m kind of glad it’s raining out there so I don’t feel guilty about not riding but I may try to get one in if it stops…my foot doesn’t hurt when I ride but getting the shoe on is going to be hard….more later….

Well…got to the doctor and found out that the pain in my foot is gout…yep, I have the condition that people get from eating rich foods…and I never eat anything like that. So, I ranted to my doctor a bit that I eat right and after we talked a bit, he is pretty sure that my case was caused by chronic dehydration from riding the bike so much and working on the house….so, it looks like I have the next three days  off everything until the medication he gave me starts to work…and I have to elevate my foot and drink as much water as I can stand…one good thing about this whole mess is that the doctor visit and the prescription only cost me 13 bucks so I kind of like my health insurance now….this is my first prescription in almost 20 years and that is kind of weird…at least now I know that it is not a broken bone or bone cancer or something like that….

Well…the pain in my foot has gotten so bad that I had to shorten up the work on the house since going up and down stairs leaves me howling in pain…okay, just walking at all leaves me in pain and trying to put the brakes on in the car is damn near impossible…I just can’t have this now…only have two weeks to get the house done and get moved…luckily, my doctor has an open appointment today so I am going in to have him look at it…might just as well use the insurance I have been paying for for the past year…and the co pay for a doctor visit is only 5 bucks so it is worth it…sure hope it’s not arthritis or some other chronic condition…crap, crap, crap….

Well…damn…my foot still hurts like crazy and I am hobbling around trying to walk…this one might get me back to the doctor since it feels like it is not healing since I woke up with it Sunday….even took something for it already this morning and I need to have the pain subside with crunch time on the move coming up….so today may just be a run over to unload the car and then back here without cleaning…I do have two weeks until I want to be moved so I guess I can afford a light day…almost have everything out of the bedroom and the hall closet and have started on the living room and it looks like about 5 more trips will clean this place out except for the big stuff…man, I feel crappy this morning and I wonder if it’s a reaction to the flu shot I got yesterday…I know my arm still hurts from it and it was pretty puffy but it seems better today….it looks like no bike ride this morning with the rain coming in and that may help my foot but I’m not sure…just feel pretty decrepit today and I may just take the day off tomorrow to rest…okay, yep…going to call the doctor this morning and see if I can get in…more later…

Well…okay, my site was down so this one is going to be short since I want to get out on the bike to set up for my last day of two rides a day….not even going talk about how I slept…you know the drill…I did get my new cable modem for the house yesterday and I am going to attempt to set it up and get it running myself with the kit that Comcast is sending and that will save me the 70 buck installation fee…but, first I need to get to the post office this morning and get the mail restarted so they can deliver it to the house…that is going to be a pain getting address changes for everything I need but I have a month to do that so I guess I have time…I am going to get a flu shot this afternoon and it should only cost me 5 bucks at my doctor’s office…it will be the first time I’ve used my insurance since I changed it to Priority Health so we’ll see…got he majority of the painting done yesterday so now I need to get into cleaning mode so I can be ready to move the big stuff week after next…have almost all of the small stuff moved but need to strip the kitchen over the next few days…I think I’ll start cleaning there this morning after I mow the lawn so I can just put stuff away as I take it over…not sure how I’m going to organize it yet but that can be changed as I get moved in…more later…

Well…another 3:04 and 5:04 morning and I am damn exhausted…and my big toe still hurts making it a little painful to walk around here…but I do need to paint today so I guess I’ll just suck it up and get the last coat on the bedroom done…I may feel a little crabby today since I didn’t ride the bike at all yesterday with all of the rain but I should be able to get out this morning…but it’s looks like I’m going to have to shift back to one ride a day with the cold weather coming later in the week…highs in the 50’s and I am not ready for that yet….I packed my cold weather bike gear and should try to find what bag it’s in so I can use it later in the week…my new modem is coming today so I can get the install scheduled with comcast later in the week and that is the last part of the puzzle for the house…so, no more painting after today…need to get the place clean so I can get everything moved next week or the week after…that will depend on how fast I can get the rest of the small stuff moved…have the bedroom stripped and will get to the hall closet this afternoon and that will leave only the kitchen and the remainder of the living room to do…I do have all October so I don’t know why I’m rushing so much…there is one milestone that I reach today…I will pay my last rent payment and I’m kind of happy about that…it’s been a long time and this move will be a good thing…but, I do need to get some warm lounging clothes since I won’t be able to run the house at 75 degrees like I do here…more later…

Well…how the hell do you get up with a foot hurting like you just ran a marathon? I could barely get my shoe on my right foot and it still hurts like crazy and left me limping out to get the paper….hmmmm…I did sleep okay last night and don’t feel too bad this morning but it looks like I won’t be on the bike til later since there is rain coming in and I need to watch the F1 race …if the damn internet tv will start to work….it has been going downhill for the past few weeks and now no channels work at all…okay…it just started working again so I can at least see the race…I did get as bunch of stuff done yesterday for the move and it feels good to make some progress…ordered a new cable modem that my son recommended and it was only 46 bucks and will support 350 meg speed and that will be here late next week and then I can order my service and get that started…and that will be the last piece of the puzzle for the house….took the old, broken weight machine apart and put it in the dumpster that took about 10 trips and the only thing I saved from it was the weights…not sure what I’ll use it for but a hundred pounds of half inch steel blocks must have some use…I do need to go out and get some more big garbage bags this morning so I can clear out my closet and pack the car for tomorrow…I did cook yesterday and ate really bad food that tasted good…got some Italian meatballs for cheap from DD that are 210 calories each but the rest of them are going in the freezer today since I can’t take that much fat and salt….more later…

Well…you know, you’d think with all of the work I’ve been doing and all of the bike rides I’ve been taking, that I would be tired enough to sleep at least a little…but it was another 5:04 morning this morning and the strange thing is that I’m still exhausted but that never translates into being able to sleep…oh, well…I did get out for a ride but late in the day yesterday and I really don’t like it with all of the traffic on the streets that I need to cross…and I don’t like how the light looks, either…cripes, I’m in a crabby mood this morning….it looks like I’ll be doing laundry all day today to use this giant washer to get things washed that won’t fit in the normal sized one at the house…doing the first of the pillows now and will do the comforter in the next load as I tear apart the broken weight machine and get it out to the dumpster….and I still need to cook today since I bought some Italian meatballs from DD for 1.99 for 2 1/2 pounds and they are thawing in the fridge…so maybe some spaghetti and meatballs…it looks like it may rain all day today so I might have the day off the bike but we’ll see..oh, one cool thing did happen yesterday…I washed my car in the driveway for the first time and that was cool…but, the new hose I bought is pretty stiff and I’m not sure I like it…but for only 25 bucks for 100 feet I guess I can live with it…more later…
