Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a bunch of stuff done around here so that was cool…finally getting rid of the clutter and making headway back to the clean, stripped down place that I like…slept okay last night and feel okay with being good for the 4th day in a row so I may take a long bike ride today…but, I have been coughing and sneezing all morning so the allergies are out of control….might have to make it a day of taking medicine for it since it usually doesn’t hit until later in the day….not as sore this morning even with going onto the wind again yesterday…hope today is a little easier…and it may be warm enough to go out in a t-shirt…if it’s not raining…I did do the grocery run this morning and have food for another week…have to make the venison I thawed yesterday and I am looking forward to tacos…not much to do today…going to continue to make progress around here today and then maybe out for a couple with G later….more later….

More Donald….
Well….have been looking for a political topic all day…I am just so tired of writing about the idiot Trump that I couldn’t bring myself to do another one today…okay….maybe just a little….one of the idiot’s comments over the past day or so, pandering to the hard right religious nuts, is that he will appoint at least 5 SC justices who will overturn Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal here in the US. Now, there are so many ways that this is wrong…first, there is no way that 4 more justices are going to retire or die in the next 4 years…and, to overturn Roe, the court would have to ignore the precedent of Roe…not that that hasn’t happened under Roberts, just look at Citizens United, that overturned hundreds of years of precedent. But the second thing we have to look at is this complete banning of abortion is only supported by about 25% of the US and if ole Donald continues to press that it is what he will do with his SC picks, he is doomed by voters who think that is not the governments business to make health care decisions for women and take away their rights to control their own bodies. Okay…this one was not supposed to be about Donald…just got sucked into it…darn….
May 11th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done…going to continue that today until I get the kitchen done…slept okay last night and had a weird dream that my Miata was just a loaner from a radio station that was going to give it away in a contest…and I found myself without a car again…strange….the bike ride yesterday was just brutal and I am feeling it this morning…going out the first 5 miles into a 20 mph wind took it’s toll on my back and legs and I hurt this morning….going to do it again today, though, since I just need to…I’ve been good for 3 days now and I feel pretty good today other than the pain…the weird thing is the pain that I thought was going to be in my right elbow is in the inside of my right forearm….a new place for pain that I have never had before….not much to do today….going to continue to clean after I do the bike ride and I may run a couple of errands but maybe not….more later….
Holy whiplash, Batman….
Well…if you are going to pay any attention to Trump and this campaign, I think you’d better stock up on neck braces to keep the whiplash from him changing his mind from hurting too much. The latest two just point out that ole Donald is just making crap up as he goes along with not one care about consistency….or as the repubs are so fond of saying “uncertainty” and the Huuuge effect it has on markets and our allies. First, over the weekend, we had the Donald say that he would have to raise taxes on the rich to make his economic “plan” work…and not more than two hours later, on another show, he said the he would never raise taxes on the rich….and just yesterday he said that Ben Carson was going to be the person vetting his VP choices…but today, ole Donald’s campaign manager said that he would be the one vetting the picks….yep…surprise, surprise…the Donald is an inconsistent blow hard who just makes it up and tells people what they want to hear with absolutely no care that, in at least one of the instances, he is lying through his teeth…but, I guess in the modern repub party, that is the game plan…promise people one thing, and then go hard right once you are elected…worked for Snyder here in Michigan and Walker in Wisconsin….but it is supposed to be kept secret until after the election…something that Donald just can’t do…geez…
May 10th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done….slept okay last night and had a dream about keys for some reason and that was a little weird…feel okay this morning with being good last night and that will continue all week…I found that it does help to take ibuprofen before the bike ride but I’m not sure if I’m going out today…it is cold with about a 20 mph wind out of the East and that makes the outward leg just torture….and it is going to rain in a while so I’m not sure if I want to get wet today…a little too cold for that so I may just skip today….not much to do today….the papers need recycling and I do need to clean before Man U comes on this aft…they need to win today and sun to make the champions league next year…but, they have been pretty disappointing this year so who knows? More later…
Strange music…
Well…as you can see, politics haven’t really been too interesting to me lately…after all, how do you comment on the absurdism that is the repub race…so, I think I’ll do one on some music I heard on the bike this morning. On the ride today, “Sunshine of my Love” by Cream came on and, since I was at my last water stop in the park, I could really listen to it without wind noise or any other distractions…well..it is the strangest engineering I have ever heard in a song….whoever did the recording put the drums in the right ear, the guitar in the left, and Jack Bruce and Eric Clapton singing in the middle….really a departure from the normal way that songs sound….I was going to do a similar one on how the drums sound on “Nantucket Sleighride” by Mountain…where they use the entire sonic range from ear to ear for the drums and then lay the rest of the music on top of it so it sounds like you are really at a live concert…and that contrasts to “White Room” by Cream where the drums sound like you are sitting a couple of feet in front of the kit….weird…or not weird but interesting how sound can be changed so your brain interprets it differently…yeah, okay….probably only interesting to me….

Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool….didn’t get to the kitchen but don’t feel bad about it…slept okay last night but feel a little slow this morning…the coffee is just not working so I guess I should get busy having more….was thinking that there hasn’t been any trail weirdness lately or tiny bunnies or anything to report…man, my life is really, really boring right now….not sure why that would be but I feel it….my right elbow is teasing the pain that is to come and it is just annoying…at least it’s not a surprise anymore which joint is going to hurt this summer…I am going to take some ibuprofen before the bike ride today and see if that helps…not much to do today….I should say that I am going to try to get to to the kitchen today but I probably won’t…might just make this a lost day and veg all day….more later…
May 8th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…slept okay last night, too, but I feel a little slow today since it was a cocktail night….had a nice long bike ride yesterday and may do the same today if it warms up some….but, I am taking it easy right now and trying to work into the day slowly…coffee is helping but the bike ride may have to wait for an hour or so….I am a little confused by the pain that is there but the progression is not the same as before…it is still just a shadow that is reminding me it’s there but has not gotten worse yet…and I stress the yet since I know it’s coming at some point…not much to do today….got the bathroom done yesterday and today should be the kitchen and I am going to try to get to it…but, who knows? More later….
Congratulations Leicester City…
Well…haven’t done much on the premier league this year since Man U has been kind of stinky…but, I had to say a couple of things about Leicester City who won the league this year in what could be called a shock…even the bookies in London thought it would never happen giving odds of 5,000 to 1 that they would go all the way. This time last year, they were bottom of the league having to win 7 of their last 9 games just to stay up in the premier league and this year champions…a feel good story for a small team that has been playing for over a hundred years with success only in the lower tiers. So, congratulations Leicester…good job….
May 7th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that was cool…slept okay last night but feel pretty worn out after the long day yesterday…was on the go from 10 until I got back here at 6:30 and I’m not used to that….I did get to see T for a couple of minutes and that was fun….and I had the top down the entire day so I may have gotten a little sunburned even with sunscreen on….didn’t get anything done yesterday so today will have to be better….I do have cleaning that needs to be done and I will get to some of it today…even if that is just the bathroom….not much to do today…it is already almost 60 so I can get out on the bike any time but I’m watching Man U right now and will probably wait until the match is over to go out…and the Kentucky Derby is on today so that will be a given too….more later…
