Well….when are we, as a people, going to stop allowing billionaires to buy elections…when are we going to climb out from under the thumb of banks and business and take our country back…when are we going to find the principles that made this country great and start living by them again? I am edging up on the concept of civil disobedience as useful tool to combat the nonsense from the right and their owners…what if everyone took a month off from paying their mortgages; what would the banks do? What if we all come out and tell the politicians we want an ideology free set of solutions that are based in the science of economics; not the failed “gut feel” economics that the right is pushing? What if we said no to more tax cuts? What if we said yes to paying more in taxes to help get the country out of this mess? What if we boycott any company that sends even one more job out of the country? What if we stop this warfare on working people and support the unions who are the last line of defense for the middle class?
There are so many things that we can and need to do to make this country better…not just for the rich but for all of us but it won’t happen on it’s own…it’s time for all of us to say enough of going backward and saying what we can’t do…what if we become aspirational again? We need to think big again…there is more than enough money for it here….we just need to get it back from the right wing thieves who have stolen it all over the past 20 years….geez…
Well…a long day yesterday but the Tigers, Lions, and Wings won so that made it a pretty good one…I may have a heart attack if the Lions keep playing like they did…pulling it out in OT….and there were really strange dreams last night, too, that included hurricanes, time travel, bombs, and tornadoes…T and her son were in this one, too which is really strange since she is never in them….it was another day of no human contact and that seems to be happening more and more lately but that is okay….I do have a couple of things to do today and it looks like dodging rain again trying to keep up the string on the bike….I am going to try to get back on the political horse today since there appears to be another reupub engineered government shutdown looming on the horizon….more later…
Well…I did get the bike ride in after waiting for most of the morning for the rain to quit…so, that makes it 158 days in a row and I have found a goal to shoot for….183…that will get me to half a year with being on the bike every day….you do need some goals after all…I haven’t been able to write about politics lately for some reason and I’m not sure why that is….still trying to figure that out so I guess I’ll have to move on to other things for a couple of days..or maybe I’ll try one later after I read the paper again…who knows?

Well…a long day yesterday with all of the sports and movies to watch…and i did have weird dreams that included meeting the neighbors and the ghosts they live with along with having my car impounded, Cadillacs on the lawn, and other things I can’t remember. This one is quite early since I am already bored and it is 6:41….but that doesn’t mean you are going to get more today…you might, but it is the weekend and I may not be able to get motivated…I do need to read the paper and have coffee..after I go get it, that is…and it is too dark right now to go…so I’m going to go get an ice water and lie on the couch for a few…more later…
Well…this one is going to be short since I have to get out on the bike in about 9 minutes to be back here for F-1 qualifying at 10….I did have a nice chat with K when we went out for a couple last night and then back here for the normal stuff…there is free HBO this weekend on the dish so it looks like it’s going to be a weekend of just pure, simple, vegging with all of the sports that are on, too…so, I need to get going…more later…
Okay, I’m back with 10 minutes to spare and want to get this one done…so, it’s been 157 days straight on the bike and I felt so good out there today that I really wanted to stay out for a while more…but, I do have things to do today and couldn’t….nothing really to report other than the thousands of caterpillars that were on the trail…it was kind of fun trying to miss all of them….

Well… a nice ride on the bike even though it was a little cold…..and I think that is what brought the snakes out today to warm up on the pavement…I even stopped and picked one of them up to play with for a while…but the grasshoppers were doing the same thing and that was not good for them because they didn’t get out of the way today….there are probably a couple hundred less of them in the world…and I have grasshopper guts all over the bike…

Well…another night, more crappy sleep and up way too early….this place looks kind of strange at 5:03….it’s not 5:03 now…I did have to get a glass of water and stare at the tv for a couple of minutes after all….and no dreams again so I guess I’m in a slump with those, too. It was a strange day yesterday…not really strange but it floated by and made no impression on me…I don’t remember it…oh, well…not much to do today…I do have groceries now…..I may have a couple with K today but I’m not sure but that’s about it…okay, writing in the dark is harder than it looks and I don’t want to do that much work right now…more later…
Well…I was going to do a political one today but I am still in a state of disgust with all politicians…okay, not all of them..but all of the repubs for sure and even some of the dems who seem to think that compromise is giving the repubs everything they want and ignoring the wants of the people that elected them. The polls show that people do not want what the repubs are selling; the gutting of the last vestiges of the social safety net that still remain for more and more tax breaks for the rich and business. We are starting to see what the repubs vision is doing to America with the prospects of another recession growing every day, caused by how they have slashed the incomes of the middle class to the point that the economy can’t grow because no one but the rich can afford to spend anything. The latest figures show that middle class has lost over 7% of their income over the past 4 years while the income of the top 10% has grown by over 40% in that same time period. And the repub idiots continue to scream that the dems are all about class warfare…when they are the ones who have unleashed warfare on the middle class and poor and will not be satisfied until everyone but them is living in poverty….geez….
Oh, I guess this was a political one….I never know where the brain is going to lead me once I get started….
Well…a nice day yesterday and I finally won at pool after a couple of weeks of losing….but the Wings lost their first preseason game so that wasn’t good…but there is another one tonight and it is just the preseason…I wasn’t too good when I got home so I am feeling a little slow today…and I really don’t have a lot to say today, right now, that is…so I’ll come back later to add to this one….
Okay, I’m back…late, I know, but I did have a few things to do this morning and my head wasn’t working very well…it still isn’t much better but I thought I should come back for a while….didn’t get the three peat on the dreams last night…didn’t sleep too well and I think that may be the reason…I did have to go out for groceries today and I did get the bike ride done along with watching the last episode of “Dexter”…then I had to cancel the dvd’s from Netflix….not going to pay 8 bucks a month when they have slowed the processing down so I can only get about 4 a month…I can get 4 from redbox for 4 bucks….okay that’s about it for now….need to take something for my back since it hurts today for some reason….maybe more later…
Well…just a short one…the events of the last couple of days expose the repubs for what they truly are…the job killers that they are always accusing the dems of being. In front of the fed meeting that is going on over the next couple of days, the repub thugs have sent a letter to the fed chairman threatening him with some kind of action if he allows another bout of stimulus to prevent the economy from falling back into recession. Never mind that the fed is an independent entity that was specifically designed to prevent the kind of legislative meddling that the repubs hate unless it is to benefit business…when there is possibilty that the fed can use it’s few tools to benefit the economy as a whole, the repubs go off on their crazy train and start making threats like the terrorists they are. This time the public needs to step up and hold these thugs feet to the fire and force them to start to govern for more than the top 1%…geez…
