Well….5:17 just doesn’t work for me…feel pretty worn out and the coffee isn’t working yet so I guess I’ll have to just wait it out to get moving…slept okay last night but with the developments of last night, I tossed and turned quite a bit so I may have to take a nap later…if I can…I am going to to the grocery run today since I ran out of a bunch of stuff yesterday and I don’t want to be out in the store on the 4th…but, it’s too early for that right now so I need to just stall for a while…I got soaked on the bike on the morning ride yesterday and everything was still wet for the afternoon ride…had to wring out my riding gloves they were so wet and putting my feet in cold, wet shoes was no fun…but, it looks like no rain for today and I’ll only get one ride in today with having to head over to the west side…I did get out for some errands yesterday morning and got some weird seasoned ground meat that has sirloin, brisket, and other good cuts in it for 1.49 a pound so I am going to fall off the red meat wagon later today to see if it is any good…if it is, I’ll probably head out to get a couple more packages Friday….more later…

This is news….
Well….this was a strange night with storms finally getting here instead of falling apart on the way…but, that’s not the news…just got a call from my oldest son with some news or some information that I didn’t have before…he informed me when he called that his mom has transferred the title to his grandparents house to him…actually it happened quite a few years ago and he was renting it out until about 6 months ago but now it has been empty for a while and there are complaints that it is not being taken care of…so, he offered it to me for free for the next 18 months if I take care of it for him and get it ready for when he and his fiance move back here to GR…so, I need to go over there tomorrow to assess the situation and see if I can get in the garage to get to the mower and at least get the lawn mowed…then I’ll have to have the electricity turned back on and see if it is livable…but, I may be out of here in a month or so…will have to buy my way out of the lease but it will be worth it to buy another year to find a house of my own…it will be weird living in the city but I guess I can get used to riding my bike in the street…and having a garage for the Miata….
trumpifying the 4th of July…
Well…is there any damn thing that trump, his family and cronies, can’t ruin? Yeah, we all know the answer to that…no…and now they are working their tacky magic on the 4th of July celebration in DC. Traditionally, the 4th of July has been a non partisan celebration of the country’s birth and the president got out of the way and let the people have it for themselves…but not trump…every damn thing has to be about him and he needs to feed the tin pot dictator in him by having the military involved with tanks and flyovers and even a campaign rally included in front of the Lincoln Memorial…something that has never been done in the history of the celebration…and they have even raised the tackiness bar by blocking off half of the National Mall (something that belongs to you and me) for VIP seating for big donors and cronies of the trump crime family…and guess who is handing out the tickets? Yep, the RNC…making this supposed celebration of everyone in this country just another grift from the grifter in chief and his enablers in the repub party. I wonder how long it will take to get the stench of the trumps out of our country after they are gone? If the polls are accurate, it appears that the cleansing will start on January 21, 2021 since trump is now losing Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin by double digits…and that is before the new indictments that are coming from NY in the next couple of weeks…impeach…
July 2nd
Well…not getting up until 6 seems like such a luxury these days so I’ll take every one I can get…and I even slept okay last night without putting the air on so that’s a bonus…but, I need to get going to get on the bike soon before the storms come in…okay, that’s a laugh…every time I say there is a storm coming it falls apart before it gets here but I hope that’s not the case today…I’m thinking about falling off the no red meat wagon today with DD having burger on sale for 1.49 a pound…I’ve only had two burgers since last September so I think I’m going to splurge and get some today…I hope I can get a small enough package so I don’t have to put anything in the freezer since there is very little room in there…have to start thinking about using some of the chicken in there, too, and get some meals planned…I do need to make some Alfredo or other pasta just to change it up…I did get a lot done yesterday morning with finally getting my oven cleaned and washing and waxing the car along with doing some rust repair but I’m not sure what I’ll do today yet…just need to get some coffee down so I can get on the bike in the next 15 mins…more later…
On a lighter note…
Well…have had some things rattling around in my head that I wanted to get down before I forget them…might be a better idea to forget them but hey, after over 7,000 of these, I need topics from anywhere so here goes…I was watching “Jessica Jones” the other night and saw something that made me laugh a little bit…when she was getting ready for a stakeout, she filled a stainless steel water bottle with whiskey to take with her…and it was the exact same old school sub-zero one that I have to carry water on the bike…no fancy top or anything like that but one that you have to unscrew and remove to drink…see, I told you this really doesn’t mean anything…it kind of like seeing a Miata in a movie or tv show…only means something to me…oh, one other thing…that may qualify for trail weirdness…okay, I think I’ll wait on that one and actually do a trail weirdness one later today or tomorrow since I have a few things that I have been storing up…and that one will have turkeys!

Well…with the fiasco of the Asia trip that the idiot boy is now trying to spin into the most successful trip by any president ever, we can now see how full of crap trump is…I guess some of his aides have told him that meeting Kim at the NK border for a photo shoot that legitimized the murderer in the eyes of the world was not that good of an idea, so trump today is out there saying that Obama begged Kim for a meeting (project much?) but Kim wouldn’t meet with him so trump is the bestest diplomat for getting the meeting. How much more laughable can trump be? There is no damn way the Obama would reward a dictator for murder and threatening the US by giving him a meeting that Kim could spin into saying that the US “respects” him and that would make him an equal in the eyes of the world. Trump is again played by a cheap little dictator just like he gets played by every damn one of these thugs…and what did he get for it? Today, NK put out a statement that they gave no concessions on their nuclear program to the idiot trump and will continue to do what they want no matter what the US does…and trump just puts his tail between his legs and slinks off to plan the trump spectacular 4th of July ceremony…I guess now he gets tanks so nothing else matters…even that he and his family are more and more being seen as the fools they are…and they drag the US down with them…impeach…
July 1st
Well…that was a little better…didn’t get up until 6 or so and there were no dead crickets on the floor…have been trying to find out where the hell they have been coming from and I think I finally finally have poison in the right places to keep them out…slept okay last night and started to feel better later in the day yesterday after feeling like crap Saturday with no energy at all and I think that was from not eating enough to support 30 miles a day on the bike…and my guts felt like they were filled with acid…so I need to continue eating more but that screws up my schedule that usually includes two meals a day…I could use a toasted bagel with cream cheese with my coffee in the morning so maybe I’ll try that…I still have some smoked salmon in the freezer, too, so that would be good…didn’t get much done yesterday but I do need to clean my oven today and I want to wash and wax the car so that will fill up my morning after I work out and get on the bike…more later…
