Well…darn, another rainy day out here that kept me off the outdoor bike til almost 1 but now I’m done for the day other than the weights…got another 29 miles in today and that creeps me closer to the goal….pretty darn sore on the bike today with my right tricep just howling the whole way for some reason…weird…and my neck hurt and that didn’t help…not going to go out and pick up wet leaves today so the afternoon belongs to me…what is left of it…crap, it’s already 2:30 and I haven’t read a bit at all…going to cook a turkey this weekend after I use the last two burgers for today and tomorrow…I did forget the onion rings for the green bean casserole and I’m not going out to get them…oh, well…I do have to clean some today but I should sew my winter hat and gloves that need work…I could do that sitting here watching tv so I guess I’ll get the sewing kit out and get going on that…

Well…damn, I can’t figure out why I feel so cold all the time but I’m sitting here freezing at the 66 degree temp I have the thermostat set to…the coffee should warm me up enough so I can get on the indoor bike in a few minutes but it’s not working yet…I do need an easy day at some point but I’m not sure if it will be today or not…I may be able to get two outdoor rides in today since it’s already 47 degrees out there and getting into the 50′s this morning…didn’t get a lot done yesterday other than cook but I don’t need to do that today so I should get off my butt and get some things done…starting with this…have been working for more than 15 minutes that is just not normal..just had the thought that this could be the last weekend that I’m not dying or that I don’t know that I’m dying….and that is a weird thought…oh, well…boy, it’s getting harder and harder to get my days started when all I want to do is just sit here and do nothing…but I won’t…going to finish this first cup of coffee and then get moving right now at 7:37….and then stumble through the day…more later…

Well…yep, getting up at 7:30 put me behind for the entire day and I’m just now getting done at 5:30…I did get on the downstairs bike by 8 and finished the second one by a little after 11 when I cooked another batch of chicken Masala…then on the bike in the cold/rain to get a ride in out there that I finished by 2:30 or so…didn’t have much time for coffee all day so I dumped a bunch so I could make a new batch for tomorrow…not going to keep coffee for three days…then after that, I gave myself a haircut using a set of clippers that I bought 6 months ago but barely used and cut it too short as I figured out the adjustment…only paid 11 bucks for them and it wasn’t worth it to send them back…rechargeable and two speed that I didn’t know about…now I don’t have to drag the big corded clippers that I’ve used since about 2020….going to have cocktails for one more night and then off until Tues night…and if there is bad news that I get then, I’ll need those drinks…

Well…yow, didn’t get out of bed til 7:30 this morning and that is so damn unusual that I had to note it…and it puts me so late for getting on the bike that I’m not sure how many miles I’ll get in today….I do need to cook today but I’m not sure if it will be for lunch or dinner…have thawed chicken that is ready so I guess early would be the choice…have way too much food and the turkey I have thawing is just going to add to that…along with the ham I got yesterday so maybe I should figure out what needs to go in the freezer…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and today looks the same since I only have the first cup of coffee down and it’s 8 am….so no bike til 8:30 or so and I think the outdoor ride will wait until the afternoon since it’s going to rain off and on all morning…I am really looking forward to the time when I can just let the day unfold instead of rushing to get on the bike and get the miles in….but that will not happen until I find out if I’m dying or not next Tuesday…I was really thinking I’d make it to 80 riding the bike but I’m okay if I don’t…more later….

Well…one of the stupid things I do out here is to watch the marinas I ride by every day to see when the last boat is taken out of the water…and today was that day…they are all empty now and won’t have a boat in until next April…I did get out for a ride today and it was a little better than yesterday but tomorrow looks iffy with rain starting tonight and continuing until 3 or so tomorrow aft…so, unless I want to wait for the outdoor ride until after then, I’ll have to do three inside tomorrow to keep up grinding the mileage out…have 9,200 miles in and have 6 weeks to do 800 miles so it will be easier…haven’t gotten the results from the PSA test they were supposed to do so they may be withholding it to wait til my checkup to give me the bad news…and my blood work came back with indicators I have cancer again so I guess it was a good idea to not buy a new car…oh, well…life sucks and then you die is looking to be true…okay, more reading

Well…damn, I’m running late today and need to get on the bike in 5 minutes or I won’t get the grocery run done on time….the wind is howling out here again and I’m getting pretty tired of it…it would be nice to have a day to ride where I’m not going into the brick wall…so maybe today will be a three ride day indoors….I did get some results from the blood test and there are some concerning things in it…and I really may be reaching the end and that is getting to be a relief after what is going on in this country…it looks like I don’t need to buy a new car after all since I won’t outlive the Miata…damn, it’s cold out here again today and we have a hard freeze going on…I wonder how long the flowers I have left on the side of the house are going to survive it? Okay, it’s 6:48 and I need to get on the bike right now to get a ride in before I need to do the grocery run…so this one is short but I’ll come back…going to buy a turkey and a ham today and I can eat red meat again since they already know my cholesterol is through the roof…I’m done with even worrying about that….more later…

Well…I don’t know what it is, but every year the transition to full thermasuit gets harder and harder…did the first suited up ride this morning at around 37 degrees and it was okay until I made the turn out at the beach to come back here when the wind came up from calm to around 20mph right into my face all the way back…and my fingers and toes were white and I really hope I can figure that out before it gets really cold….so it feels good to get back to three rides for the day and will probably have days soon where I’ll have to do three indoors…the problem with that is I’m running out of stuff to watch on freevee so I’ll probably have to use Pluto to make up for it…okay, I need to do the weight work and then get cleaning…I’ve already changed out the bedding and should put a load of those in the washer…and get the chicken breasts out of the freezer for the Masala I’m making tomorrow….and that will give the turkey I’m getting for 53 cents a pound at Meijers a few days to thaw before I roast it on the grill….more later…

Well…just got back from getting my blood drawn and I’m still amazed at how easy things are out here…I mean a half hour to drive out, get the blood drawn, and be back here sitting on my couch…no traffic at all and that was around 9am “rush hour” today….so now I can sit here for a few minutes and have coffee while I warm up from the errand…I did get the trash and leaves out and I can’t figure out why they didn’t delay pickup with the holiday yesterday…hmmm…going to go out in full thermasuit this morning since it is still in the 30′s here and not going to get much warmer…so only another week of being good until after the checkup next Tues at 9am…more coffee and cleaning…have two rides in downstairs and maybe I should just do one more down there and call it good at 24 miles…we’ll see3…more later…

Well…up and out of bed at 5:29 this morning and need coffee right now so I can get on the indoor bike here by 6:30 to get two rides in before I go out for the blood draw at 9 or so…I am going to try to get an outdoor ride in today in full thermasuit if the wind is low enough…and then I’ll have the rest of the day to clean and maybe work on the lawn…but I don’t have many leaves to be picked up and have a coupe of weeks to do it…I did sleep okay last night and gave in to putting the winter comforter on the bed which helped I think…starting to get a little disappointed with Aldis lately since the stores here don’t follow the ads anymore and their prices are no longer a deal…okay, veggies are still pretty cheap but I wanted a whole smoked turkey for 77 cents a pound but they don’t have any and I went there yesterday to pick one up…and I’m sure their supplies weren’t sold out in one day…especially since they aren’t open Sunday…oh, well…it’s only 33 degrees out here and will be in the low 40′s when I get back so it will be gloves and a winter hat to go out…no more shorts..for today anyway…more later…

Well…man, I almost took the day off today but I did get two rides in downstairs and little else…there was another gale warning on today and the wind was 20-30 with gusts so there was no way I was going to go out and hurt myself…and now the weather is changing with a high of about 45 tomorrow so I’ll have to drag out the warm clothes and wear long pants on the bike for the first time since April…oh, well…and I do have to go out to the lab to get the blood drawn tomorrow morning…so I’m going to try to get two indoor rides in before I head out at 9am…only another week and I can have cocktails again and I am looking forward to that…I feel better not drinking but damn, I’m getting old and what the hell am I saving my liver for? Once SS is taken away soon, I’ll only have enough money to live a couple of years anyway…so no new car either…I can make this one last a couple of years if I don’t drive a lot…I got gas for 2.85 this morning so that was cool…more reading…
