September 21st

Well…it was a long day yesterday with the allergies really flaring up and I feel miserable…I did have dreams last night but they involved laundry and nothing else…even my dreams are getting boring and that is not a good thing…I think I may have slept okay but I still feel run down so it will be an easy day for me….I do need to keep up the cleaning and make some food but that will be about it…and do a couple more of these…but, right now I need to try to get moving…more later….

The rats are leaving…part two…

Well…just had to get to this one today since it shows the trouble ole Mitt’s campaign is in…in case you haven’t heard, one of his campaign co-chairs, Tim Pawlenty, has left the campaign to take a job lobbying to try to keep re-regulation of the banks from happening…as bad as that is, the real info is between the lines…why would a person that still believes that ole Mitt can be elected leave and give up the chance to be a part of a Romney administration? After all, that is what all of these political types are all about….to help to implement the winning side’s vision for the country. So, with the polls showing and increasingly untenable position for ole Mitt, we have the second wave of the rats leaving the sinking ship and it really makes me smile….at least there is something to smile at these days…

More Mitt hits the fan…

Well…if it wasn’t already clear what ole Mitt thinks about workers here in the US, you just need to look at a campaign stop that happened this week where he was touting coal as the energy source of the future….first it was at a mine owned by Murray Energy whose callousness towards it’s workers safety has been well documented, but second, the owner made attendance to the rally mandatory while closing the mine for a day and costing the workers a days pay that they can ill afford. And this guy says he cares about workers? It is breathtaking how unfeeling ole Mitt is, that he doesn’t understand that his photo op could have cost these workers the ability to make their house payment or put food on the table…but, it has been shown he just doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself and his rich buddies…geez…

Deadbeats of a different sort…

Well…this little nugget just popped into my head and I thought I’d share it….this goes back to ole Mitt’s statement that “corporations are people, too, my friend” on the stump and highlights an unintended dig that Mitt had for those same corporations. When you look at the numbers, you’ll find that many, many corporations like GE did not pay any income taxes in the past few years….so does that make them part of the 47% that ole Mitt so callously derides? To me, this just points out the incoherence and ignorance that is the core of the repub candidate…I thought I’d seen the stupidist (I know that’s not a real word) candidate for president when I saw ole GW…but Mitt is in a class of his own and makes even Rick Perry look like a genius….bring on the debates…geez…

September 19th

Well…it was a day yesterday…man, I’m getting repetitive on the first sentence…so, let’s try something different…the day was a bore? the day was the most exciting thing I’ve ever witnessed? Nope, none of that works so I guess I’ll just get into it…it was cold sitting outside at the coffee shop to the point that I skipped the last paper and came back here in the warm to read it…and it looks like today is even colder so it may be an indoor morning…and at 40 degrees, I’m not sure that I’ll even put the top down….I just loved the Mitt video from a couple of days back…and I can’t wait to see what effect it has on the polls…okay, no politics here…it was a no cocktail night so I have lots of energy and I think I’ll take the rest of the week off to continue to feel okay…might make for boring nights but I have to think about the bigger picture…not much to do today….I am going to continue the cleaning streak around here and start getting rid of stuff that I don’t need…might even make a run out to Kohl’s to see if I can get some clearance stuff…

Have to take on this latest “mitticism”…

Well…ole Mitt has done it again…reveling what he truly thinks about the American people who are not rich, who are not part of the privileged few like him who have been given everything and think they earned it. The latest from this idiot comes from a fundraiser earlier in the year where he shows his disdain for almost half of the people of this country who, by his measure, are the “takers” who pay no income tax and will never vote for him…and he shows that he would not give a damn about them if he is elected. First, let’s get this straight…even those who do not pay income taxes, and this is mostly a result of the Bush tax cuts, pay payroll and other taxes that average almost 16% of their income and they can’t use any loopholes to reduce this tax burden…which is more as a percentage than ole Mitt pays in income taxes…and, the second thing is that, in the 47% that don’t pay income taxes, you have all retirees on social security and the unemployed, but you also have the working poor whose wages have been in real decline due to repub policies that have rewarded companies for offshoring jobs….and now you have Mitt blaming these folks for the policies that he still champions….why any working person would ever vote for this idiot, I just can’t fathom…geez…

September 18th

Well…it was another in a long line of days yesterday but I finally did get some cleaning done around here so I feel good about that..and, I met up with G for a couple and got to drive the car with the top down in the dark which was just a bonus…and I think I slept okay but I am still tired or worn out or something…but, the pain in my back is much better so I think I’ll take that one as a win…and I can’t really think of anything else to say right now so I won’t say it…back later for more…

Some news and other stuff…

Well…as you know, I’ve been watching the continuing rise of Obama in the polls and it has made me smile some…and the latest, where he is up by 11-14% in Pennsylvania just adds to the smile…and if you add in the 10 plus that Obama is up here in Michigan, ole Mitt must be really, really concerned…I cannot wait for the debates where I’m sure Obama will torch ole Mitt and force him to admit that the only economic plan he has is more of GW’s tax cuts and spending cuts…one thing we do need to remember when the talk comes from the right about the national debt, that most of it happened under ole GW’s watch…12 trillion of it to be exact so no one should listen to the repubs on anything economic…they just don’t ave a clue. One other thing that I do want to comment on is a statement that came out of the ‘value voters” summit that was held last week sponsored by the usual suspects on the right; the Family Resource Council, AEI and their ilk….something that sounded just like something that would come out of the Taliban of radical Islam…where they said that women should dress more modestly or they should expect men to act badly around them…really? In the US, in 2012? Again, these folks that push personal responsibility to the point of nausea now turn around and say that men just can’t help themselves and it is womens fault if they don’t dress in a burqa? The last thing we need in this country is to elect these folks…and Romney and Ryan both support this nonsense…geez…

September 17th

Well…it was another Sunday yesterday and it was really just a total veg out…I did meet up with T for a couple and it was good to see her but then it was back here for a continuation of the “Boardwalk Empire” marathon that was on the free HBO weekend on the dish….slept okay but no dreams again and I’m not sure if it is the melatonin I’ve been taking or not…should find out tonight since it will be a no cocktail night….not much to do today…I do need to get back into the fitness routine since I took the day off yesterday to try to heal the back and legs….not sure if it helped but we’ll see in a little while….more later….
