Well…woke up feeling crappy again today and have lung congestion that has been coming on for a few days that is annoying….the pain from the bike ride yesterday has not kicked in yet but it should in a while…my hands are still stiff from yesterday and that will make today’s ride bad from the start…oh, well….I did cook the pork shoulder in the pressure cooker yesterday but the hour was not enough to get the center of it tender….next time I think I’ll go an hour and a half…still came out pretty good and I’ll have leftovers for the rest of the week…not going to do a whole lot today other than the bike ride later…Man U is playing at 11 so that will be something to keep the boredom at bay for a while and I should clean some but I probably won’t….more later…

Well…finally dragged myself off the couch and got on the bike and that may have been a mistake…the ride was pure torture from the first mile to the last with my hands going into full cramp mode as soon as I left here and then continued to get worse through the entire 12 miles….there were some things on the trail that made me smile a little starting with the first almost all black red tailed hawk I’ve ever seen…they are normally brown and white on their backs but this one was jet black….strange…then, heading into the woods someone had put red balloons and a “will you marry me?” sign along with hearts and rose petals spread across the path….then, looking for the last bit of artwork where a hundred chistmas ornaments were hung in the trees…I saw it had been moved about 200 yards from where it was the last time I saw them…at least that distracted me from the pain in my hands….

Well…feeling a little sore this morning and I’m not sure why…my lower back is stiff but I didn’t do anything to hurt it…oh, I did win at pool yesterday and I had fun getting out of here for a while….but I didn’t get anything else done so that will have to change today…but, maybe not…I am going to cook in the pressure cooker today and it looks like the 7 pound roast I got will only take about an hour….can’t wait to see how it turns out…have been marinading it overnight and that should help….I did splurge and buy some good buns for pulled pork sandwiches later today but I am going to do a full meal for lunch…I may even get out on the bike today if it gets up over 30….more later…

Well…feeling a little crappy today and I had to go back to the grocery store to get things I forgot or they were out of yesterday…need to get the pork shoulder in the marinade this morning and forgot the veggie broth I need for that…going to use the pressure cooker for food for the first time in years and I hope it comes out okay….there were school cancellations on the tv last night and I can’t figure that out…the roads are clear and dry this morning….weird….have to stop watching local tv I guess…..there is going to be a slight warm up over the next week or so so I will be able to get on the bike Monday or so…and it is going to 54 next Friday so that will be my January top down day…not going to do much today…pool maybe, but that is about it….need more coffee and the couch for a while….more later….

Well…sooner or later I knew that this blackout would get to be too much and I’d have to start reading the news again…still haven’t started but I feel myself inching back into it…at least considering the possibility that I may start to look at the online stuff again…won’t spend 3 bucks a day to buy the newspapers again, but I may get back to twitter and Kos….so, stay tuned so I can say “I told you so” to you idiots out there who voted for the chief idiot….

Well…it was a long day yesterday with going out to have a couple with
G kind of late and not getting home til late…but, it was fun so that was cool…but, I slept on my right side again last night and my shoulder is killing me so I guess I’ll have to take something for it….with all of the rain last night my car was a block of ice this morning and I had to thaw it with hot water just to get my door open…I am glad that it was just rain and not snow or we’d have another foot or so to deal with…and after the next two days of cold, there is going to be a pretty good thaw that will get me back on the bike again….and I can’t wait for that…haven’t gained the normal amount of weight being off the bike but some and I want it gone….going to take it easy today to recover from last night so I need more coffee and the couch for a while….more later….

Well…it appears that the world has survived the winds from yesterday but I think my car will be a block of ice when I go out to check it later….the lot looks okay so maybe the big melt from yesterday and today will get the trails open again and I can get on the bike….slept okay last night and had weird dreams again but I slept on my right side and irritated the tendons in my shoulder and they hurt like crazy…..but, nothing else hurts so that is a win I guess…..and, Man U won yesterday for 9 in a row so that brightened the day up some which was darkened with the Wings losing last night, again,…and it looks like the playoff run is over at 25…oh, well….I re-MacGivered my coffee maker so I can use the newest carafe and I think that will do for now…need to take the waiting electrical fire one back today and get my 10 bucks back but that is about all I have to do today….more later….

Well…it seems to be funny that there are things that are striking to me when I see them but my short term memory doesn’t retain…on the last day of riding before this last bout of snow happened, just after christmas, I saw over a hundred christmas tree ornaments scattered along the same stretch of trail where the stuffed animals appeared earlier in the year…pretty cool looking at the time and I’m not sure what would have forced it out of my memory but it just came back to me today and I thought I’d talk about it for just a minute….it has been an okay day but I am exhausted…I did get to the errands today but at Harbor Freight, their computers were down and it was so funny watching them try to go back to a manual system to take care of their customers….I did get my new compressor for 7 bucks and need to put that in the car….but, Man U is playing right now so I am going to go watch that first….
