Well…just read an article over on Kos that helped me understand why a lot of young men in the country voted for the idiot trump and the picture is not pretty…the gist of the article is that the use of technology and AI in college admissions and job searches has made it almost impossible for these folks to get launched by getting a college degree or job to get on the bottom rung of the ladder to start their careers and lives…the stories of young men and women having to apply to hundreds of colleges when they are not admitted as legacies and then have those colleges use AI to review their applications and get them tossed for even the smallest mistake like a semi colon in place of a comma doesn’t give many of these applicants any chance…and the the college doesn’t even tell them why they were rejected…and there is no one left to talk to about it at the college anyway…and the same thing goes with the job hunt that I even experienced when I was still looking for work…I sent out thousands of resumes and didn’t get any responses and they wouldn’t say why you weren’t a fit for the job…and no feedback raises the frustration level and makes people insecure and depressed…so it it any wonder that these young people tried anything like voting for trump to try to change anything? Now this is another reason to retire the 80 year olds in dem leadership…the country they are comfortable in no longer exists for a wide swath of the country and the solutions for these problems need to be new ones to match…and that isn’t coming from an 80 year old dem…geez…
