Well…it was an okay day yesterday but again, I didn’t get much done other than to torture myself on the bike that I still feel right now..sore everywhere and sleeping last night didn’t help…only got about 4 hours broken up by tossing and turning and really working hard to try to get back to it every time I woke up…that said, I feel okay this morning with being good again last night but the Wings lost so that was not good…but, if they win 4 of 5 the rest of the way out that would be a good season…it looks like it snowed last night…just a little so I should be able to get back on the bike today and the rest of the week so maybe it will get better….not much to do today…the normal routine, I guess….but, not much more…more later…
A brutal, brutal ride…
Well…have been really looking forward to getting back on the bike since the snow and ice is off the trails and I have been too much of a slug lately…so, today, I get the thermasuit on including double gloves since it was only about 29 degrees when I decided to go out and head out but there was something wrong that I just haven’t been able to put my finger on…just didn’t feel right from the time I got on and it was so much more effort than I ever expected…after all, I’ve only been off it for a couple of weeks and the ride on Sunday was pretty good…and you would think that after 22,000 miles on the thing that it would be like riding a bike…ha,ha…yeah, I know, bad joke….it only took about a half mile before my hands started to cramp…probably from the double gloves and they still hurt now after many hours…at least they weren’t cold but the rest of the ride was just brutal and I can’t remember wanting to just get it over with before….with that said, I’ll be back at it tomorrow like an idiot…just can’t believe that my lungs and legs have regressed as much as they have in just two weeks….feels like the first week out in the spring….oh, well…
Circling each other…
Well…it is a little bit of an interesting time in politics right now with the changes that are coming and the parties circling each other like fighters waiting to land the first punch….and it looks like it was Obama that landed with the executive order on immigration and now we wait for the repub response…and the thing that I don’t understand is why the repubs just don’t do what Obama asked…pass a bill that would make the executive order unnecessary. That way, they could take credit for it and take a big chunk out of their Hispanic problem…but they just can’t do anything that would look like they caved in to Obama…and that is the master stroke of Obama’s comment of “pass a bill”…the repubs will look petty if they just attack and they will lose their base if they agree to do their job and pass a bill on immigration….it just may be interesting the rest of the year after all….
December 2nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I did get a few things done so that was good…I do have to remember to not wash the car unless it is 25 degrees or warmer…did mine yesterday and it is still an ice block today with the driver’s door not wanting to close after I started it today…and, I didn’t bring enough quarters so there was still soap all over it…first wash of the salt time and I wonder why I didn’t remember what happens….I guess it just looked warmer than it was with all the sunshine….slept okay last night even with being good and I feel okay this morning…even have some energy that I am going to put to good use by getting on the bike later…after it gets above 30…it was 13 degrees when I went out to start the car but at least it isn’t snowing and there isn’t much in the forecast…not much to do today…going to continue with the cleaning and get a bunch of resumes out and then Man U plays this aft…then a Wings game tonight so at least I won’t be too bored…..more later….
Can’t believe this one…
Well…just reading a little news online and came across a story that I just can’t believe…with all of the scrutiny that police have come under over the past few months, how stupid does and officer need to be to do this…stop a black man walking down the street because he has his hands in his pockets…on a winters day, when it’s cold outside. Yep, this really happened here in Michigan…Pontiac police must recruit idiots…and the additional reasons were the “people” were concerned…when asked what people, the cop just kept saying “people” then went on to the normal BS that they use on black people all the time…like what are you doing here? etc. etc….and just trying to roust the guy but he got it all on his phone and now it’s all over the internet…there should be consequences for this kind of crap….what’s next? Shooting someone for having their hands in their pockets in the winter? This idiot cop should at least get a reprimand for this crap and forced to actually be trained in what his job is…to protect and to serve…geez…
December 1st
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get much done…I did get out to ride the bike for the first time in two weeks and in shorts even….slept okay but still feel a little slow today for some reason…and I am sore from the ride but it’s a good soreness…may even be able to get out in full thermasuit today….it is kind of weird to only have the Wings to watch on a Sunday aft with racing done and the Lions not playing until next Sunday….I did watch Django Unchained the other night and can’t figure out why people thought it was such a great movie…typical Tanantino but not much more than that….not much to do today…have tot pay the rent, then I’m going to get the leaning tower of papers out before they fall over and kill me….more later…
Last one for the month…
Well…sitting here waiting for the Wings to start and thought I’d get the last one for the month done…not sure what it will be about but it will be something….have been struggling with politics lately…or maybe I’m just losing interest in it…hope not since has been one of the central topics around here and I’m not sure what I’ll write about without it…just need someone to do something crazy…even after being off the bike for two weeks there is no trail news…okay..going to publish this one and then come back later after I let my brain work for a while….
Okay…brain still isn’t working but I’m going to give it a try….man, what a gloomy day today…it is so dark in here that I probably should turn the lights on…it was kind of funny this aft watching the Wings and having the lights go out at the Joe about 20 seconds in….half hour later they had them fixed and I don’t think I’ve seen the Wings play so well this year…pretty neat….hell…just cant’ think today so I think I’ll just give up…
November 30th
Well…running late again today but it’s just because I wanted to get out and ride the bike while I could go in shorts….okay, need to restart this thing…lost the cursor…okay, that did it…it was a nice bike ride…got the swing arm bearings adjusted so there is no play in them anymore and the new shifter is dialed in…felt like a new bike today…but I am going to be sore later today…slept really crappy last night and was back up at 5 this morning so getting the blood flowing with a bike ride was just what I needed…I did get out and had a couple with G and then straight to hang out with K for another one…so that might have something to do with feeling a little slow today…not much to do today…just the Wings game and then a little cleaning and a nap this aft…and one more of these later to hit the quota….,more later…
November 29th
Well…it was an okay day and I won at pool so that was cool….but, I feel a little crappy today and part of it is not being able to get on the bike for over a week now…going to try today….slept okay but slammed my thumb on the wall tossing and turning and I am going to lose a big chunk of the nail….took a big divot out of the wall, too, and that may have to be repaired….I am a little down with the troubles that T is having and I can’t help but think of her…as you can see, I didn’t come back for a second one yesterday and I was just too preoccupied to do it…just didn’t seem that important…not much to do today…Man U plays at 10 and that will be the only thing I am planning on today…other than football….more later…
November 28th
Well…it was quite a peaceful day yesterday and I feel a little recharged today…but, the cocktails are taking a small toll and I think it will be just a little while until the coffee works it’s magic…slept okay last night and had dreams that were really too disjointed to make sense of….didn’t get a thing done other than cooking so that means work for today…oh, nope, can’t do that…have errands to run this morning and then pool this aft so cleaning will have to wait until tomorrow….not much to do today….need to get moving pretty quick to get those errands done…and, I wanted to get on the bike today but it’s too icy and cold so maybe tomorrow?
