Well…finally got the snow tires on the car today and that was a relief…damn near spun it going to discount but it drives like a tank now…and the black wheels with chrome lugs look badass just like it did on the 94…they didn’t have the Falken tires I ordered so they substituted Hankook tires that cost 50 bucks a tire more than what I paid for the Falkens at the same price…coming back I ran through some 8 inch deep snow and it just drove through it like it wasn’t there…put the top down and had two summer tires on it and two in the front seat…and when I stopped the car to unload the tires on the incline up to the garage I just let the clutch out and it walked straight up it and into the garage…oh, and the kicker is that my son texted me and said my DIL’s trip has been postponed til Feb so I have this week to myself…still going to have to get to know these tires to see how they work but that will be fun to not have the car trying to kill me… and discount even washed th summer wheels for me…pretty cool…

Well…damn, I’m tired of being out of bed at anytime that has a 5 in it…and today it was 5:22 and that makes three days in a row and I am just worn out…and it snowed a ton last night so I’m going to have a heck of a time getting out later…the stress from all of this is wearing me out…damn, I feel old today…don’t have a lot to do today but read and shovel snow and that is getting old…I need some days where I can just take it easy and not have something hanging over me that I have to do…and that won’t end until Saturday night when I do the last move I’m ever going to do…I forgot about Man U playing yesterday and they won 4-1 over Wolves so that sucks…oh, well…need to get moving so I think I will….more later…

Well…man, it’s too damn cold for the second week of December after it got down to 2 degrees last night…so, as I was clearing a spot to store the summer wheels this morning, I decided that 2 degrees would be a good battery test so I fired the car up and it started with no problem so I let it run for 15 minutes as I shoveled the alley to get ready for getting out to get the new tires tomorrow morning…so I guess I can stop thinking about a new battery for the car since it cranked just like it always does…this has been a brutal start to the month with record snowfalls and 2 degrees tied for the coldest temp this early in December and it’s not even winter for 12 more days…ick…

Well…damn, up at 4 and then out of bed by a little before 6 and I am rushing around here trying to get the weight work and first bike ride in before the F1 race that is on at 8…just poured the first cup of coffee and I’m going to suck that down fast to try to get moving but it’s more a matter of will than coffee…had an okay day yesterday but I have no plans for today other than cleaning the microwave and the rest of the kitchen…I really do hate having to rush around here in the morning…I’m retired after all and should be able to act like it…I will get to a political one this morning, probably during the race if it’s a boring one as they pretty much were all season…not much to do today…just need to get the weight work started and get on the bike before 7 and that gives me 35 minutes to get going…more later…

Well…crap, I forgot to come back here today…just still not used to being back up again so as soon as I did the first one, it completely slipped my mind until right now…and I did look for a political topic early but didn’t find one…so, I’ll do two tomorrow…today was a pretty easy one but I did have about 4 inches of snow to shovel and that took some time and I did get the weight work and rides in…so I guess today wasn’t a complete loss…my damn right thumb has been killing me lately and I’m pretty sure it’s from shoveling…so I’ll be slathering it with voltaren after I finish this…the last race of the F1 season is on tomorrow morning at 8am and that is going to screw up my schedule sine I like to get the rides in early…I wonder if tomorrow could be the elusive one ride day I’ve been thinking about? Who knows?

Well…up at 4:54 this morning and that is not going to be good for my day…pouring the coffee down to try to get moving…slept okay but too damn short but what can you do about it? Had an okay day yesterday but surely didn’t eat enough with just a bowl of soup and a dog for about 700 calories and I really should be eating 1,500 or so…oh, well…didn’t get anything done yesterday but making soup but isn’t that enough? I am going to clean the kitchen today and maybe dust in here but not right now…just need to ease into it and get to the weight work here in 20 minutes or so….the final qualifying for F1 is on at 8:30 so I need to get the 1st ride in before that…I did take some bacon out of the freezer so I can make breakfast for dinner today and use up some of the eggs I have in the fridge…not much to do today…just the normal stuff and cleaning…my bp was good this morning at 117/71 and I wish it would stay that way but I know it won’t…more later…

Well…really didn’t do much today but make soup and clean up from it but that was enough since it takes a couple of hours of standing on my feet…I didn’t put noodles in it as planned since I had a huge amount of ham from using two bones and I even went overboard on the veggies, too, so it came out almost stew like but tasted as good as I can taste which is to say not much…the full instant pot yielded 7 quarts so I froze 4 of them in the spaces opened up by taking the bones out…we might get a little snow melt over the next few days and I only need to drive the car one more time…2.2 miles before it will be safe to drive again…I did call discount and asked them to mount and balance the tires before my appointment so I don’t have to wait through that…

Well…up at frickin 2:42 this morning but I was able to get back to sleep until around 5:30 and I guess I’ll have to take that…had an easier day yesterday and I’m going to continue that today with just the rides and weight work to do…but I’m already running late so I’ll have to haul butt starting right now…it got cold last night and it’s only 18 out there right now and I’m happy that I don’t have to go out in it…the weather widget say rain/snow ahead and I am already tired of this damn weird weather….and winter doesn’t even start for two weeks…oh, well…going to make ham soup tomorrow and I’m not sure if I’ll use both ham bones I have in the freezer or just one…it will depend on if I can get two of them in the instant pot…still need to go over the kitchen since I skipped the microwave yesterday and I should have cleaned it…not much to do today…just need to get moving and get the weight work done…okay, Meijers has spiral sliced ham on sale for 89 cents a pound so I’ll be getting one next Tuesday…more later…

Well…up and out of bed at 5:40 this morning and I’m gradually getting my poor old body moving after all of the shoveling yesterday…not too sore right now and I really should be after all of the abuse from shoveling more than a foot of snow….haven’t been sleeping well for a while now but that doesn’t help me take a nap in the afternoon…at least it didn’t snow overnight so I can take it a little easy today…the weather widget says “light rain today” and that just fits with he weird weather we’ve been having…don’t have to go anywhere until next Tuesday when I get the winter tires for the car but I’ll probably have to shovel the alley to get out but I’m not starting that today…don’t have to cook today but I will be making ham soup Friday…just remembered that I put diced potatoes in the last batch so I’ll do that for this one…not much to do today…just going to get the normal stuff done and maybe do some cleaning in the kitchen…more later…

Well…I’m finally getting to the point where if a decision needs to be made, I just do it without agonizing over it for days…so, I bought the winter tires for the car this afternoon and will have the installed next Tuesday at 8am at Discount tire…1,100 bucks but the car is undriveable in the winter without them…and I think the battery needs replacing, too but my meter died so I couldn’t check it…but I figured out why my battery box didn’t have any effect when I hooked it up last week…forgot to hit the on switch since I hadn’t used it in a couple of years…so I’ll do that tomorrow and just see if it helps…then I’ll order a battery from the zone or Amazon…
