Well…as we wait for the supreme court to rule on the legality of same sex marriage, the haters in our Michigan legislature have kept their dark, little hearts busy trying to proactively circumvent the decision that most think will go for the right to marry for gay couples. Led by a real ass, Rep Todd Courser of Lapeer, who has just proposed bills that would require a religious leader to sign off on any wedding here in Michigan…and since most of these supposed “Christian” leaders are opposed to gay marriage, the ability of any same sex couple to find someone who would marry them will be slim at best and impossible for some of our fellow citizens. Now, as you know, the repubs don’t really care if bills are constitutional or not, especially when they are used to hurt people they don’t like, but to require anyone to have to have a religious person”sign off” on their marriage is a clear violation of the first amendment’s establishment clause and will be thrown out in court…and again, they will be spending my tax dollars to defend discrimination…what the hell has happened to my tolerant Michigan? Gone since the repubs took over…geez…

June 20th
Well….it was an okay day yesterday but I lost at pool…but, Tom made some shots that I just had to laugh at so that was fun…slept okay last night but I am running late today since I had the grocery run to do…got some bacon wrapped filets for 2 bucks each that I am going to have tomorrow along with lots of veggies that I am going to have today…no dreams again and that is to be expected with the way things have been going…don’t hurt much this morning and that will be good when I get on the bike in a few minutes…it is a gorgeous morning out there and I had the top down out and back for groceries…not much to do today…watching F1 qualifying right now but after the bike ride I need to clean the kitchen or something…more later…
Pop up birds…
Well…it was an early day out on the bike but it felt good after being bad last night…and, the strangest thing happened as I was heading out toward the east on the first leg of the ride…with the wind blowing about 20 right out of the east, a bunch of birds just popped up out of the brush beside the trail, hovered into the wind and then dove back down into the grass…this happened 5 or 6 times as I rode by and I swear they were doing it just to have fun…weird, weird birds…
June 19th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t do much…slept a little crappy and on my left eye so I can’t make it focus this morning…which makes seeing a little difficult so there may be some typos in this one….feel a little crappy, too, but that is entirely my fault….I think I may have to cut out the cocktail nights completely since they don’t seem to be as fun as they used to be….maybe I’m just getting old…hope not….I’m not too sore today so maybe I’m getting used to the bike…only took 900 miles this year and only 1500 more to go to get to the 25K that is the goal….okay, this one is too disjointed so I am going to go do something else…after this, that is…not much to do today…pool, of course, and I think I’m going to wash the car before the bike ride but that will be it for the day…more later….
Even more sick crap from Fox….
Well…just read an article a few minutes ago that I just had to comment on…with the church shooting in SC in the headlines and the fact that it is a hate crime out of the mouth of the shooter…but no, that’s not good enough for Fox “news”…that doesn’t fit their narrative…the one they have been pushing for years now that there is a war on Christians…yep, they went there with this tragedy…using the deaths of 9 people to push more of their crap and fantasy of what is going on in the US, that Christians are under attack across the US and, of course, this attack is just more “proof”. I wonder how these asses live with themselves? Not a day has passed and here we have these cynical bastards using these deaths as if they were not people…but, that is the whole problem with Fox and the right, they don’t think of the African American community as people, they think of them as the “other” to be demonized and used for political purposes and if a few of them die, so what? it gave them the chance to pander to their base and that’s the only value they place on anyone who is not a white person…I am so sick of this pollution of our country….Fox can go to hell….
Sick but expected….
Well…I’m by now you’ve heard about the church shooting in SC that left 9 dead and the shooter on the run…at least they now have caught the 21 year old white guy that did the shooting and the only thing I have to say is that this is just sick…but expected, given the hate that spouts from the right across this country. When are we going to stop trying to have the south rise again..where in SC they fly the confederate flag over the state capitol? The theme that runs through the right hand bubble was quoted by this idiot as he was murdering these people “we are going to take back our country from you”…how many time have you heard this from the politicians on the right? And the nonsense of “second amendment remedies” gets mixed in an this is what you get…a racist punk who believes in and acts on this propaganda that is spewed from hate radio…I’m sure there are those on the right who will hold this scum up as a hero….all I can do is shake my head and worry for the future of this country….
June 18th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that was cool…slept okay and had dreams for the second night in a row and that is really confusing….normally, I get one and then it’s a month or so for the second but I guess I shouldn’t complain….feel kind of refreshed this morning as you can see…I’m at this one early and that is just not normal….other than the cash, didn’t get much done yesterday but I am going to try to do better today and work on the kitchen…and put the winter clothes away….I was good last night even with having cocktail materials here and that is a first…just didn’t feel like it last night and I think that was a good idea…not much to do today…I should wash the car but it is supposed to rain later so I may wait until the morning since it is supposed to be nice tomorrow…more later….
A little music stuff…
Well…didn’t get to putting the clothes away but I did read something that I find to be really funny…during old Donald’s announcement yesterday, one of the reporters mentioned that he came on stage to “Rockin in the Free World” by Neil Young….and that was too funny because I knew what was coming next…and, sure enough, Neil Young sends a ‘cease and desist” letter to the idiot Trump who thinks (like most repubs) that he can take what he wants without paying for it….and the kicker of the thing is that Neil is a supporter of Bernie Sanders as I am…
One last thing that I have been thinking about lately that has me confused…what the hell does a DJ do that would make them famous? They play other peoples music in an order that is different than anyone else? I think that is called a playlist and I have made a bunch of those in my day….just don’t understand why that would make you famous…I know I’m not….weird…
June 17th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I made some cash so that is cool…there will be groceries this week…might even splurge on some beef…nope…too expensive…slept okay last night but am having the same, repeating dream where the brakes stop working on the car…no matter how hard I push on them, they won’t stop it…wrecked a brand new Mustang convert last night and that was just a shame….I did get a nice ride in yesterday without a lot of pain and i am looking forward to doing the same thing today…I laid out in the sun yesterday to try to even out the biker tan and got scorched….I can’t figure that out with only 25 minutes a side…but the sky was clear and I am really white so I guess I should have expected it…..so, I guess I’ll have to wait a day or so until I do that again….not much to do today….already got the grocery run in and that was about all I had planned…I should put the winter clothes away and maybe that should be my goal for the day…..more later…
Weird, weird animals…
Well…while I was sitting here getting this afternoon’s post out, I looked out my slider to see some really weird stuff going on with the animals, both birds and others around the new tree that was transplanted in last year. Again, the guys here were spreading mulch around the tree and after they were done the Robins and other birds were doing the same thing they did last year…lying on their bellies in the mulch with their wings spread out beside them….and this time, they were joined by bunnies and squirrels just lying out flat, too…not sure what is in that mulch but I want some of it….
