Well…running really late today since I didn’t get up until 8 this morning..that is the longest I have slept in for so many years that I can’t remember the last time…it was an okay day yesterday and I won at pool so that’s cool…but, the pool on Thursday has me totally screwed up on what day it is and I hope that will fade as the day goes on…slept okay, as you can tell, and feel okay today even though there were cocktails last night….didn’t eat enough, though, and will have to try to rectify that today…I do like being thinner than normal so that leaves me a little conflicted about trying to eat more…but I know the energy level will plummet later today without it so I have to remember that it is fuel that I need to ride the bike…don’t really hurt much this morning and I am a little confused as to why…still going to take some ibuprofen before the bike ride since I had cramps in my hands yesterday and that is no fun trying to shift the bike…not much to do today…going to cook for the first time this week and am shifting back to chicken from pork for a while since it’s been two weeks of ham and pork shoulder…and, I need to come back here for two more today since I am getting behind for the month…more later…

October 22nd
Well…it was an okay day yesterday and I got a few things done so that was cool…slept really crappy last night and I am worn out today…but, the coffee is working so I’ll get out on the bike in a few minutes and get the ride in…it looks like I will have to replace the shifter, too, since it has started to go wonky and only shift when it feels like it and that is really annoying….I was hoping to get to the 25K mark without a new one but if I need it, I need it so I’ll get one ordered tomorrow….don’t feel as sore today and I’m not sure what that is about…but, I did have my left tricep spasm all night long which I think has something to do with not sleeping…aargh…not much to do today…going to shoot pool today instead of tomorrow but that will be my day…more later…
The dead-eyed granny killer is their savior?
Well…it has been quite funny to watch the courting of Paul Ryan by the rest of the repubs to be speaker of the house acting like he and only he could be the savior of their party…I would laugh if it wasn’t so silly that this idiot has that kind of a reputation…after all, what has he done in his time in the house other than run for VP? Other than put together wish list budgets for the Ayn Randians that infest this country, not much. Lets remember that this guy is one of the biggest liars in the country…remember him washing clean dishes in a soup kitchen during the campaign? Remember also how Joe Biden took him apart during the debates exposing his far right nonsense that was lauded as great ideas by the repubs. Remember, too, that these great ideas included gutting Social Security, ending Medicare and every other program that benefits anyone but the rich…and now, with the batshit crazy “Freedom caucus” in the house, he is being called a liberal…since they don’t think he goes far enough…they want to eliminate everything in the government but the military and they want to give the MIC more and more money for more and more wars. so, if you think that ole Paul is going to be the “‘savior” of the repub party and the country…you are not just ill-informed..you are an idiot…..geez…
October 21st
Well….it was an okay yesterday and I didn’t get a darn thing done…but, that was to plan since I took my yearly color tour out to the two parks with the top down…60 miles on two lanes was quite relaxing and I had fun…but, out at Fallasburg, I found a secluded spot with a stream running through it…stopped and left Steely Dan on the stereo just loud enough to hear it and was relaxing with a sippy cup, just sitting, and a couple of jeeps pull into this area that only had enough room for my car…and a clown car of people and dogs piled out to take photos with damn yapping dogs and screaming…ruined that part of the day but it was still fun…slept okay last night and had dreams about the Navy and aircraft carriers…which was really quite weird…was good again last night and feel okay today…hoping to get out on the bike in just a t-shirt again…took a long ride yesterday and got down to only 75 miles to get to 25K…later in the week, I hope…more later….
More hot water for ole Trey…
Well…just a little short one on the Benghazi czar, ole Trey Gowdy, and the connection of his committee to a super pac that has the sole purpose of defeating Hillary…to keep her from getting the nomination or to defeat her in the general election. Now we find that ole Trey has been coordinating with that super pac and the super pac has been running ads against Hillary….now, what reason would there be for this coordination if the committee was solely focused on getting the “truth” on Benghazi? Never mind that 7 previous investigations have found no blame at all for Hillary…I guess ole Trey thinks HE is the only one in the country that can get to the “real” truth of the matter…the question is why he needs a super pac’s money and advertising to get to the truth….geez…
October 20th
Well…it was an okay day yesterday but I didn’t get anything done…okay, I got a little done but not much..slept okay last night and had dreams about grocery stores…yep, weird, but I think there was a logic to it at the time….I did get a nice bike ride in but after turning on the southward leg, the wind pick up to 25-35 mph which made it slow going since I could barely keep moving in the big ones…still nice to be out on the bike…and today will be the last day in just a t-shirt since it is already 57 outside and that is the cutoff….feel pretty good this morning after being good last night and I will continue that most of the week….I think I have lost the weight I gained when the bike was down and that feels good…..not much to do today…going to do the normal morning but this aft will be a color tour with it nearing 70 for a high and the leaves falling like crazy after the freeze…oh, my daughter is out of the hospital and with nothing that would explain the chest pains…on to the cardiologist…more later….
Trey Gowdy is just so damn dense…
Well…not sure if you have been keeping up on the Benghazi committee and it’s dense, dense, dense chairman, but, I’ll try to do a little of that for you today. and, I’ll use the idiots own words to show how dense and irony challenged this guy is…I am still shaking my head after his response to criticism of his committee hit the news. In the past few days he said this: “I would say in some ways these have been among the worst weeks of my life….attacks on your character, attacks on your motives are 1,000 times worse than you can do to anyone physically…at least it’s true for me..” Okay, everyone have your irony alert working? After this idiot has done nothing for the past two years (longer than the Watergate committee was in session) than attack Hillary’s character and motives, he has the gall to whine about having his fee fees hurt since people have discovered that the entire thing has been a sham…wasting 4.5 million dollars of our money for personal attacks that should be illegal…this is your typical modern repub…small government fans until they can use the government to attack their enemies….hopefully, the media is starting to figure out that just printing the repubs lies are not as profitable as printing the truth…that’s the only thing that will get the media out of the tank for them….
One last thing, Trey…didn’t you notice that your entire state was under water a few weeks back and many people there lost everything? Now, to me, I would think that would be just a little worse than having your little feelings hurt by the bad old dems…
JEB! really and truly is the stupid one…
Well…I know I’ve done a few about ole JEB! and how unintelligent he is…even compared to his idiot brother…but there is a brand, spanking new bit of idiocy that I just had to comment on. As you know, the repubs have been using the murders in Benghazi for years now to attack Hillary while the media has allowed it, even given that 9/11 happened on their watch and they continue to act self-righteously about it in every interview…but, something changed yesterday when ole JEB! was on one of the Sunday talk shows. On CNN Sunday morning ole JEB! was asked this by Jake Tapper: “How do you respond to critics who ask if your brother and his administration bear no responsibility at all for the attacks on 9/11, how do you make the jump that President Obama and Secretary Clinton are responsible for what happened at Benghazi?”
Here is the stunningly stupid answer:
“Well, it the question on Benghazi which is hopefully now finally get the truth to it, is was that, was the place secure? They had a responsibility, the Department of State, to have proper security.”
Trying to dig himself out of the hole he dug, he went on: “It’s what you do after that matters” when it comes to leadership…
That is probably one of the most stupid things I’ve ever heard on leadership…you wait for something to happen and then react to it is leadership? I am so glad this idiot will never be president…but the rest of them are no better and none of them will be elected either…so we have that going for us…geez…
October 19th
Well…running a little late today and I’m not sure why that would be…it’s just a normal morning with nothing different about it…slept okay last night and even had a few dreams so that is better but I really have no hope it will continue…didn’t get much done yesterday but I didn’t have much planned so I can live with that….didn’t even have to cook with the pork shoulder leftovers and I think I miss that…Sundays are supposed to be for cooking…I did get out on the bike and had a nice ride but it was cold again and I had to wear gloves…the ones I have have holes in them so I may need to make a trip out today to get a new pair….I do need to put a pair in the car so I’ll have them for winter….not as sore this morning and it may have been the bug that was causing it….at least I hope the full body pain is not a normal thing that is going to go on…not much to do today…still feeling a little slow today but will get back to the workout and bike ride…I do need to make the annual color tour in the Miata and this week looks like a good one with it being almost 70 tomorrow….more later…
Just some stuff…
Well…sitting here watching the Lions stink again and thought I’d come back here and do one of these so I don’t get farther behind….it is nice to have the bike back working so I can ride again but I made a big mistake by eating before I went out…was just so uncomfortable for the entire ride that I won’t do that again…I have been sore as heck the past few days and I’m not sure where that is coming from…even my back hurts again today and that was bad on the bike…oh, well…I am going to do a sports one about the bad, bad teams that I follow that have just left me shaking my head…not sure what else….okay, going back to the couch for now and will be back later for more…
