Well…it looks like it didn’t get as cold as they predicted last night but a hard freeze is coming the next two nights so I’m going to have to uncover and cover the garden…and then it looks like I’ll be done with that…there were Northern Lights last night but it was cloudy here so I couldn’t see them…and that is a little disappointing….and now it’s clear…it looks like the rides are going to be inside today with how cold it is out there…damn, it’s the end of April and it’s only 34 outside and I wonder when spring is going to come? Didn’t get anything done yesterday but I am going to pick up all the sticks in the yard today to put them out tomorrow but I won’t have a full yard bag and I think I’m still going to put it out….haven’t put the trash out in 3 weeks so it has to go out tonight….after taking the day off yesterday, I don’t hurt much anywhere but I’ll be changing that soon….need to eat low fat foods today and tomorrow and I can’t wait till all this medical crap is over…after tomorrow, I have two months of nothing until they tear the other side of my mouth apart and then I’m done unless I have to have treatment for cancer….it really does suck getting old….not much to do today….just the rides and yard work then the afternoon off…more later….

Going to be a bad week for idiot boy…
Well…I did find a topic that seems to have gone a little under the media radar over the weekend…it is going to be a bad week for the idiot boy with a new trial starting in the suit against him for raping E. Jean Carroll back in the 90′s…and since this is a civil suit, the evidence rules are different which makes it easier for the jury to find against him….and his schmuck lawyer has tried to get the judge to say that trump was “excused” from the trial so he didn’t have to be there…but the judge would say no such thing and told the lawyer he could come or not come, he has nothing to say about it…will this have an effect on the deplorables that make up his base? Nope, they love the fact that he is a low life rapist because it gives them permission to be a terrible person, too….I can’t wait to hear idiot boy rage when the trial starts in a week or so…jury selection is Tuesday and Carroll has a great team of lawyers who are going to shred the blustering moron that trump is using…I can’t wait…
A slow news day…
Well…have been looking for a topic for quite a while now with little success so I think I’ll do this instead…I took the day off the bike today and I’m balancing on the knife edge of guilt from it…so I’ll only have the one meal for the day that I’ve already had and nothing else…no cocktails tonight either and that will continue tomorrow night, too…just got a call from Trinity Health about the MRI Tuesday and that is now all set…still going to make a recon run over to the hospital tomorrow so I know where everything is and I don’t end up being late Tuesday…the rest of the day here is going to be the race from Talladega that starts at 3 and that gets me to the fox animation at 8 that are all new…I am going to make one more pass at the news to try to find something to talk about but it has been a slow news day today….more later….
April 23rd
Well…you know, it’s damn frustrating when you get one night of good sleep to tease you and then you go back to the up and down crap that leaves you worn out…and I am worn out today and the day is just getting started…had a good day yesterday but didn’t get anything done but the two bike rides…I’m taking today off…or that’s the plan but until the day is over, the specter of my guilt driving me will keep that a question….but right now, that’s the plan….I really am thinking about giving up on the garden this year since nothing is growing out there…the bean plants have not grown a bit in the three weeks they’ve been in so there is something going on that I don’t understand…I know it’s been cold but they should have grown a little by now…and it’s going to get down to 32 degrees Monday night and that is not going to help….it’s almost May and it’s still freezing and that’s just not right….I do still have plants downstairs so I’m going to give it one more try…..have to go to my low fat diet today with the requirements of the MRI Tuesday so it will be chicken, chicken, and more chicken until Tuesday night…just want all this health stuff to be over…it’s so wearing to have to do all this crap….not much to do today…just going to ease into it and have more coffee…the Talladega race is on later and that may be fun but I sure don’t feel like doing anything right now…my hands are sore again for some reason and I’m tired of that, too….more later…
Cheap elon did it…
Well…it is starting to trickle out that the failure of starship this past week is a direct result of ole elon being cheap…when I was watching the launch, I noticed that 6 or 7 or the outer ring engines were dark and knew it couldn’t be good…and they were dark because elon cheaped out on the launch pad and didn’t build flame deflectors for under the pad…he just dumped the exhaust from the 39 engines onto the concrete pad and the aftermath photos showed that the pad was totally destroyed from it…and debris from the pad bounced up and destroyed the engines…some of the chunks of concrete flew almost a half mile and destroyed a bunch of cars…and the dust and dirt from the pad covered the sensitive wetlands the pad is built on…and the reason he built in Texas was that he could do whatever he wants with no regulation…typical billionaire bullshit that they get away with all of the time…now one question I have is where were the engineers as all this crap was going on? The math should have told them that the concrete under the pad was not strong enough to take the exhaust of 39 engines fired at once but not one of them said a thing since ole elon is notorious for firing people who tell him no…so, all of this is on elon and I hope the feds step in and at least fine spacex for the damage this launch did…we know Texas won’t…geez…
April 22nd
Well…damn, forgot to make coffee last night and now I’m sitting here waiting for it and that is not a good thing…I think I slept through the whole night last night last night and it’s the weirdest feeling for me…woke up at 6:23 but stayed in bed til 7:21 but I really don’t feel refreshed…but that is from not being good last night but I don’t mind…it’s only 40 out there so I will probably do the first ride indoors today….but the high is only going to be 48 so maybe both inside? Who knows….I’m feeling the need to take a day off after all the work yesterday but that is reserved for Sunday…had two meals yesterday and I’m thinking that is too much so I’m going back to one today….need to stay under 1K calories for the rest of my life it seems to be able to maintain my weight…I wonder what it would be like to be a normal person and eat three meals a day? Okay, just poured the first cup of coffee and it needs to work right now….who decided that three meals a day is normal? That’s a little jumbled I know but I talk about thoughts when they come to me….not much to do today…just need to get the rides in and clean a bit but I am going to allow myself to not get started til 9 or so…pretty worn out today and would love to just sit here for the day…but, I won’t…one of these days I’m going to just live before I run out of days to do that….more later…
Got the new kitchen table…
Well…got the new stainless steel kitchen prep table my daughter sent me and I have it put together and in the kitchen…it’s the perfect height so I don’t have to lean over to chop veggies and it’s big enough that I can put the instant pot on one end and still have room to do all the prep work for soup or whatever else I cook…and it is the same height as the window sills in there so I can open them and get a breeze when I cook…only took 5 minutes to put it together and it is sturdy enough to hold 900 pounds…can’t wait to do a pizza crust on it or maybe even some bread…won’t have to cook in the dining room anymore…other than that, I got two bike rides in today then made lunch…after that I mowed the lawn and put the grub killer on it so it’s been another busy day that I am going to end soon…and I am going to reward myself with a couple of cocktails with tv tonight…I think I’ve earned it….

Well…with the debt ceiling being held hostage by the moron repubs in the House, Joe Biden came out yesterday and essentially say that any of the cuts that mccarthy wants as ransom for not crashing the world economy are not going to happen…and the polls support what Joe and the dems have to say…and that’s the US shouldn’t default on it’s debt…to the tune of 70% of the people polled…and mccarthy has to remember the last time the repubs got us so close to default that our credit rating was crashed for the first time in our history…and the repubs lost in a bloodbath in the next election…but the stupid bomb throwers in the repub caucus just don’t care…unless everything that Joe has done is reversed, they will crash the economy…I think that every one of the dems that get in front of a microphone have to do is hammer the point home that it is the repubs who are holding the world hostage and they will be the ones responsible if there is a default…we need to get better at messaging and make sure the blame fall squarely on mccarthy’s head….geez…
April 21st
Well…running late today with waking up at 5:41 but not getting out of bed til 7:21…I sure needed that after two days of not sleeping well…I wasn’t good last night so I’m feeling it today and I’m not sure when I’ll get out on the bike…it’s almost May and it’s 44 out there right now and it’s even going to be colder tonight…when the hell is spring coming? The good report from my dentist yesterday was a bit of a surprise but I’ve been working hard on my teeth so maybe I’ve earned it…only one more procedure to go and life will be back to as normal it I can be…didn’t get much done yesterday but the rides and dentist and I will probably take it easy today, too…need to cook some chicken today since it’s been in the fridge for a week and I don’t want it to spoil….and I’ll need it for Sunday and Monday since I can’t have any fatty foods before the MRI on Tuesday….I am debating whether to do a full thermasuit and get out on the bike early today…it’s 44 and I sure don’t want to be cold…I’m pretty sore today and riding is going to make it worse but I have to…the heating pad has been working miracles so I have that to look forward to….not much to do today…just want to have more coffee and sit here for a bit before I make any decisions…the gamble of putting in the garden early appears to be a mistake and I’m going to have to start over…crap…more later….
They really don’t want the voice of the people heard…
Well…with the repubs on the losing end of many popular citizens initiatives like the ones in Michigan that took away gerrymandering from them and enshrined a woman’s right to control her own body along with protecting LGBTQ rights here, in other states they see this as the danger that it is too them…and what is their response? Not to bow to the will of the people and allow the majority to get what they support, nope their newest attacks on democracy is to take away the rights of the people to even be heard by citizen initiative in red states that they control to ensure minority control of their states. In Ohio, where abortion rights have 60% support of the public, and the constitution give people the right to put changes on the ballot, they are trying to change the constitution to make it almost impossible for supporters of abortion rights or opponents of gerrymandering to get those popular things on the ballot and then in the constitution….as I’ve said many times before, the only way the repubs can win is to cheat…that’s how they controlled the government here in Michigan for 40 years…by cheating until the people said enough and got rid of the gerrymandering that made us one of the worst state in the US…and now they want to do the same thing to Ohio…and it’s nothing but cheat all the time for them…since they have no ideas that anyone wants anymore…let’s get rid of them…and right now…geez…
