Well…darn, had another day feeling like a slug with only doing two rides indoors…it never got over 54 degrees here and the wind has been crazy so I didn’t even think about going out on the bike…and there was still Indy qualifying starting at one and it’s still on now at 6pm so, yeah, I had to watch it all day…or at least have it on in the background…and the nascar all star race is on tonight at 8 so I’ll have something to watch…need to get the old car cleaned up and get an ad out for it this week…going to ask 2,500 bucks for it and will settle for 2,000 just to get rid of it and get my life back to normal…I did find a zoom/zoom sticker to put on the windshield of the new car just like I did on the old one and should apply that and vacuum both cars tomorrow…it has been so dry and dusty and even in the garage so I’m going to have to wash the car again…both cars actually and then put the cover back on the old car…time for more Indy…

Well…damn, up at 4:41 this morning but was able to stay in bed until a little after 6 so I guess I’ll have to take it…so damn worn out so getting on the bike is going to wait a bit…still around 50 degrees out there so I may do another day of two rides indoors but that needs to be done by 9 when the F1 race starts so that gives me 16 minutes before I need to get going and I am damn tired of rushing…have the first cup of coffee down and need to pour another one to jump start this damn old body…it’s 47 degrees out here and I think the heat is going to come on and that is just wrong for the middle of May…I do have a clean microwave and stove so I guess that’s something…I did get the first book done and will start on the second one today but I still need to remember it’s not a race and I can take time to read…not sure what I’m going to cook today…finished up the pasta sauce yesterday so I’ll have burritos and maybe a chili cheese dog since I thawed 4 of them yesterday and just took 2 pork loin fillets out of the freezer for tomorrow…not much to do today…just need to get off my butt and get on the bike right now but I don’t want to…and I need to clean the bathroom at some point to keep the momentum going…more later…

Well…it was only 49 degrees this morning so I made the decision to do two rides indoors today and call it good…and the wind has been blowing hard all day and I just couldn’t get cold again…so it has been an easy day and all I’ve done is ride the bikes and cleaned the stove and microwave…and I did get some reading in and I’ll be going back to that in a minute…feel like such a slug with only riding indoors today but my legs really needed an easy day to do some of the repair work they needed…my right knee has been hurting and I’ve been treating it with roll on lidocaine that I’m using for my left tricep, too, along with my right thumb…just way too much maintenance for this old body just to live…it’s still only 53 degrees here still at 3pm in the end of frickin May…and tomorrow is supposed to be the same…ick…okay, going to read a bit…

Well…up at 4:42 this morning but I was able to get back to sleep until almost 6 but sure don’t feel like I slept at all…I really do need to order some allergy meds today since I feel like crap this morning and my eyes are full of crap…will need to wash them with baby shampoo here in a minute to try to fix that…it’s damn cold out there at 52 degrees and that is almost cold enough to have to wear full gloves when I go out by 7am…it stormed here last night and it was supposed to rain this morning but I checked the radar and it’s moved out to the north…the 38 mile days are wearing me out so I may just do two rides today to give myself a recovery day…went over a thousand miles outdoors yesterday and still have no goals for the year and I don’t mind that…need to get two rides in before 10am when F1 qualifying is on but if I get started by 7, that should be easy..I do need to find time to clean the kitchen today since the microwave is getting pretty bad and my stainless steel prep table needs work, too…along with the sinks and countertops…I did get 4 more books yesterday and got through half of the first one and it feels good to have three more to read…not much to do today…just the rides and cleaning and races…I did cut up a sprouted potato and planted it in the old garden yesterday just for the fun of it…there have been two bean plants that have come up there but nothing else…oh, well…more later…

Well…have three rides in and made a trip to the library so now it’s time to do one of these…I am so surprised that there weren’t branches all over the yard after getting 80 mph gusts last night…the wind did take the cover off the old Miata but it was hooked on the hardtop mounting bolts so it stayed with the car…a huge oak tree went down to the west of here and took down some power poles and lines and the huge tent they set up for an event at the boys and girls club collapsed so they’ll have to salvage that today…I did just cut up a sprouted potato that I’m going to plant in the old garden to see if they will grow…and I need to put the cover back on the car after it dries out…then I do need to clean the kitchen and get things put away before I can start a new book…and I need to find a political topic…more later…

Well…finally, we had a big storm come through here last night with lots of rain, wind blowing 50-60 mph and gusts to 80..but I didn’t lose any branches off the trees so that’s cool…almost lost the cover from the old car and will need to take it off and lay it out to dry before I put it back on…have about a half hour before I need to get outdoors on the bike and that will make another 7am ride…need to get three rides in early so I can hit the library and get more books… hope to be done by 10:30 or so…or maybe I’ll just do two rides then library then back out after lunch…I guess we’ll see…have to order some more allergy meds today since I am miserable right now and it’s only going to get worse with the rain yesterday…going to get cold tomorrow and Sunday with highs in the 50’s…it looks calm out there with no wind so that will make for good rides today…pretty darn sore today in places that are new and that sucks…I wonder if I should take some ibuprofen before I get on the bike? Haven’t taken any for a long time so I can tolerate it…still haven’t figured out what I need to do today other than riding and cooking but I wonder if that is enough? More later…

Well…it was a pretty darn busy morning today with getting three rides in again for 38 miles and mowing the lawn…even moved the old Miata to mow under it and I need to get it cleaned up and listed for sale…it fired right up no problem…but the stark difference in the interior to the new one made me laugh a bit…need to try to post a photo of it but I’m not putting my phone number in the ad…just want to deal with it using e-mail so I don’t have to answer the phone…I did finish the final book a few minutes ago so I’ll go to the library tomorrow and get more but I need to get three rides in first…the only good thing about getting out of bed so early was being able to get on the bike by 7am…I’m laughing a bit with the forecast of strong storms tonight starting around 8 but I’ll believe that when I see it…probably should get everything on the chargers just in case we lose power…okay, need to read some news…

Well…up at 4am again today and out of bed by 5:15 and that always reminds me of the Who song from Quadrophenia….it’s warm enough to go out on the bike as soon as it gets light but it’s still before 6 so I have some time before that needs to happen…so I’m going to sit here and have coffee and hope it jump starts me…I have my fingers crossed that we get some rain later today or I’m going to lose the lawn for the second year in a row…it’s going to be almost 90 here today but then the temps crash down to only 57 Sat but that’s the normal weird weather we have out here…got 38 miles in yesterday and I’m going to try to do that again today to keep my weight under control…it looks like I won’t get the last book read until later today so then I can go and get more but I’m not sure if I’ll go this aft or not…I do need to pay the insurance bill for the car today and I think I’ll ride over to the post office to get it on it’s way…not much to do today…need to get the kitchen windows cleaned and figure out meals for the rest of the week…think I’m going to make some bean burritos since I bought way too many tomatoes and I have a head of lettuce that needs to be used but I can’t taste anything so I’m not sure why I’m eating anything…more later….

Well…that was a little better…not out of bed til 6:20 today and that breaks the string of waking up at 4 or 5am but I’m not sure if I feel any better from it…I think we’re into over a month without any rain out here and it looks like I’m going to lose the lawn for another year and that sucks…and the bucket garden is not working…the tomatoes came up but then just stopped growing so that’s a bust…oh, well…need to run an errand to pick up a prescription this morning or I could probably wait til tomorrow since I have one more BP med left so that gives me the option…but I still need to get on the bike by 7:30 to get the day started and will still do an indoor ride or I could go outdoors right now since it’s 63 degrees already and that’s plenty warm enough to go out…it’s supposed to be nearly 90 tomorrow and then falling to around 60 next week and I just want it to rain…I think I will just go out for two rides today and keep it to a 25 mile day…but I need more coffee first…I’ve ridden indoors every day so far this year and this will be new to not go down there this morning…I do need to get after the windows and I’m going to try to do the kitchen today…but the operative word is try…more later…

Well…it’s a Tuesday and I didn’t get anything done at all…after the 33 miles on the bike and doing the grocery run that is…okay, I did do laundry, too, so I guess I did get something done…the more I drive my new car, the more I like it…and it made the grocery run fun listening to Neil Young’s “Weld” disc two and turned it up loud enough to hear it in the car…had the top down and forgot to put the air blocker up but it was quiet and pretty still even at 80 on the e-way..it is so weird to not have to constantly check the coolant and fiddle with it like I did with the old one…still haven’t driven it with the top up but I need to go out to get a prescription tomorrow and it’s supposed to rain so I’ll see what it’s like…got to be a lot quieter than the old one and probably won’t leak…okay, need to read the last book for the week so I can get more later in the week…
