Well…it was nice to sleep in my own bed last night but I am still so fatigued that today will be a day of just cooking and rest…and trying to get caught up here…slept okay last night with taking some melatonin that my daughter gave me…might have finally found something that works….no dreams to speak of but that’s okay…I do have a bunch of stuff to do with just getting back and I am looking forward to getting back on the bike…more later…

September 10th
Well..I’m back and had a great trip but I’m not going to update now….more tomorrow,,,okay…maybe I’ll add a little more…it was a great trip to Seattle and it was really cool to have the whole fam together for a few days….I am worn out with all of the activities and traveling but I am having a cocktail and doing laundry…plus, I have my own couch back….and that means something…can’t wait to drive my car tomorrow…automatics are just no fun….
September 5th
Well…getting ready to get out the door so this one is going to be short…probably shouldn’t have gone out to have a couple with G last night…feel kind of crappy this morning and that is not a good way to travel…I am looking on this trip with some trepidation but it should be okay…I’ll update on Monday when I get back…
Paul Ryan always has been and will always be a liar…
Well…I find it so funny to watch as the supposedly honest man in the repub party, Paul Ryan, is exposed as the liar that they all are over there…the latest whopper is the talking point that 1.4 million small businesses have filed for bankruptcy under Obama…and he goes on to repeat the meme that Obama is even worse than Carter…one of the new talking points that ole Paul has rolled out this week. The problem is that ole Paul is either not the detail oriented policy wonk that he has been portrayed, or he is just flat out lying when he makes these claims…the real numbers, according to the New York Times is around 47,000….I can see why he got it wrong since 1.4 million is so close to 47 thousand….I am laughing as ole Ryan’s reputation has crashed and burned every time he has opened his mouth in the last week…even the mainstream media is calling him out on this nonsense…take a look at the Matt Lauer interview from the other day and you’ll see what I mean…and even when caught in the lies, this idiot doubles down and tries to spin what he said so much I’m afraid he is going to burst into flames from the friction…geez…

Well…finally got all the packing done and have the ride to the airport confirmed so now all I have to do is worry that my garment bag is too big to carry on…I’ve done it quite a few times but it looks like they revised how big your carry on can be…oh, well…all I can do is try it and see if they force me to check it….and spend more money that I don’t have….it has been a weird couple of days getting ready and I just want the trip to get started…I guess I’m just not the traveler that I used to be and being gone 5 days is going to be about to the limit for me….so, with that said, this will probably be the last one until next week…I do have one idea percolating that I might get to but I’m not sure…
September 4th
Well…I know, running late again today and today I’ll blame it on packing for Seattle…but, that’s not really true…have just been distracted lately and I know it has to do with flying for the first time in over 10 years….and, today is two of my son’s birthdays and I have to pay my cell bill before I go and I have to prep this place…just too much to do…so, this one is going to be short…have to confirm my ride to the airport tomorrow morning and figure out what to do if that fell through…more later…
Here’s a question…
Well…just had a thought pop into my head as I was skimming through the online papers a few minutes ago…with ole GW becoming invisible in the party due to his toxicity to the American people, to the point that he was only at the convention on video, why are all of the economic ideas that the repubs have presented just re-runs of what ole GW inflicted on the country? I know most Americans have short memories, but do they really believe that we can’t remember 2008? It just shows you that the modern repub party is devoid of new ideas and doesn’t have the capacity to understand what is necessary for the country to move forward…geez…

Well…haven’t really thought of a topic for this afternoon so it looks like it’s noodling time again…haven’t commented on the Clint Eastwood debacle from the convention…but Jon Stewart did a funny bit on his show about the absurdity of it all…and I don’t know how anyone could have called the speech that Romney delivered anything but pedestrian…no vision, no fire, no conviction…the guy is just a stiff…and there was no bounce from the convention so far so ole Mitt looks like he is in trouble…poor boy….it has been a day of getting ready for the trip but I’m almost done already so that is okay….what else? Let me go out and look at the papers for a minute and I’ll come back to see if I can come up with something…nope…nothing right now so I’ll stop and think for a while and then come back…
One last thing…the polls are showing that ole Mitt’s speech was the lowest rated one since they have been keeping records…I guess I was right about that one…
September 3rd
Well…as you can see, I didn’t come back for another one yesterday and there really is no excuse but I was on a total veg day and didn’t really do anything but watch sports all day….so, it was okay but today I need to get moving and get the clothes ready for the trip to Seattle Wed…so, that means I will be at least 10 under for the month since I am not taking my computer with me and there will be no posts from wed until Monday…then, I’ll try to get caught up but I’m not going to promise anything…I am trying to match the food on hand here with my travel schedule so that might mean a fast food day on tues but I’m not sure I want to do that since it will be all fast food for 5 days and I’m not sure how I’ll react to that….I will be back later for more and try to do at least three a day today and tomorrow…more later…

Well…sitting here watching the F-1 race from my favorite track, Spa in Belgium, and thought I’d take a minute and get this one done…it was another sports day yesterday and I think I’m getting burned out on it…but today is the same with the race, Man U, drag racing, and then the cup race later…slept okay last night after falling asleep on the couch and even with the cocktails last night, I feel okay today…but, there won’t be any accomplishments with all of that stuff going on…so, I’m going to veg it out today…more later…
