Well….man, I’m exhausted this morning and the only thing it could be is way too few calories yesterday….trying to make up for not riding the bike and I think I went overboard….will need to fix that today….I did win at pool yesterday but it was close…and it was fun but I didn’t like the new bartender….it snowed more last night night and that is depressing…at least it wasn’t the 8 inches they were predicting earlier in the evening…I will still have to clean off the car sometime today but that can wait for later…I do have some work to do around here today along with cleaning but, feeling like I do, that is going to wait, too…..need to get to the coffee earlier in the morning….and I do need to come back for three of these today but my brain is not working well enough to come up with a topic….more later
December 16th
Well….running a little late today….not sure why other than I got up late…have been feeling a little worn out lately and I have been good so I’m not sure what it is….still cold in here even with the heat set at 75…this does not bode well for surviving this winter…but the weather is supposed to get warmer next week after a few days more of even colder….not sure why it’s bothering me so much this winter….I think I’m irritated with not being on the bike…it’s just not the same working out on the weight machine…I do have food for the next week but I do have to do something with the rest of the ham today…maybe one last ham sandwich for lunch? Then it has to go in the freezer for soup in a couple of weeks….don’t have a lot to do today other than pool so that’s going to be it…need more coffee so I think that’s what I’ll do…more later….
Damn cold….
Well…I think this cold is starting to wear me out already….had to warm the car up to go get groceries this morning and then before I ran errands later in the morning….and the car still didn’t get really warm until I had quite a few miles on it….and it is even cold in here today with the wind blowing as hard as it is…it was a pain in the butt yesterday when they had the water shut off here from 9 in the morning until almost 4…when it was supposed to be done by 2…so, I was a little irritated…but, not too much….Man U won in the last few minutes of the match yesterday after I had turned it off with disgust…they dominated the match and then let CP back in it after they played that stupid strategy of trying to protect a one goal lead…oh, well….oh, and I bought a new pair of jeans today for the first time in more than 10 years….the old ones were just looking too shabby and that made me look too shabby….I’m better now…..
December 15th
Well….cripes, it is cold out there this morning…only 6 degrees but the car started right up so that was cool…and, I do have the booster in case it doesn’t…but, there are so many damn idiots out there this morning who think they are the only cars on the roads…3 near misses on the way out and back to groceries….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but today will be better…need to do some work around here and then some cleaning to get caught up and I am going to make venison tacos for lunch….other than that, it looks like a hibernation day today….have everything stocked up so I don’t really need to go out until tomorrow for pool…have a cough that I don’t understand that started a couple of days back but it is not too bad so I guess I’ll just live with it…at least I’m not as sore as I was…more later…
Idiot semi drivers…
Well….sitting here waiting for the Man U match to start and thought I’d relay something that happened this morning when I was out running an errand….coming back on the e-way, I was moving along pretty good…probably close to 80…running alone and came up on a pair of semis that were nose to tail going around 60…when I got about 50 feet from the semi in the back of the two, the idiot whipped out in front of me going all of 62 miles an hour….when there was a good mile behind me to the next car….then, he proceeded to go 62, passing one going 60, and took the next 5 miles for him to pass…but then, even when he was past, he stayed in the fast lane until I had had enough and started to pass him on the right…then, the idiot whipped his truck back into the right lane….no signal…and almost ran me and the guy behind me over since the guy behind me had had enough, too….now…whey the hell couldn’t this idiot just have waited another 5 seconds to let me by before he pulled out to pass? It seems like every time I’m on the e-way these days this crap happens…I think they need to teach these semi idiots how to drive…geez…
December 14th
Well….have to get going early today since they are going to have the water shut down until this aft…so that means the workout and getting cleaned up for lunch have to happen now….did have some fun out with G last night but there was breakup drama at the bar that went on most of the time we were there…it was a good show but quite distracting….did get quite a lot of work done around here yesterday but today will be a total loss with the water being out and maybe having lunch with T…and, Man U is playing this aft so that will keep me vegging the rest of the aft….and I need that today with overdoing it last night….more later….

Well…just had a nice night out with G where we drank too much and came home to “the Last Waltz” by the band and if you never watch another concert film…watch this one… it is a great one…directed by Martin Scorsese……I’m going to….
December 13th
Well…I’m already tired of winter….and it’s just getting started this week…going to be colder than crap later in the week and that is depressing….I’ve lived through lots of these but they don’t get any easier….I really do think Costa Rica may be the solution…didn’t get a lot done yesterday but today will be a busy one….have lots to do around here today and that will keep me busy until this aft….then there is soccer on later that will make for a nice break…..finally have almost gotten through the ham from last week so I am going to start thinking about some other kind of food for the rest of the week…and that is okay since I can use a break from the salt in ham….I still have that neck pain that I am going to have to take something for since I am going to be on my feet all day….more later….
Somebody flipped a switch….
Well….where the hell did fall go? I imagine that someone has a huge switch that they turned to “winter” last Thursday and now it’s winter. I was only 36 miles from getting to 3K and now that looks like it won’t happen…crap….oh, and the new people here have to be informed of the protocol for the aftermath of snow days….none of them moved their damn cars and now my parking spot is filled with snow since the guy running the bobcat today was too scared to clear the snow out between cars and left about a foot in my space….they weren’t doing anything else…they could have gotten off their butts and moved their cars like I do to give the guys clearing the snow a little help..but no, and now we will live with snow for the next couple of months…as you can tell, I’m a little irritated today…especially since my car is so small that a foot tall snow drift will fill up the radiator intake…but that doesn’t matter to the damn truck drivers around here…arrrgh….
December 12th
Well…just finished cleaning the car off and that is depressing….must have had 8 inches of snow on it…ick….and it was another wasted day yesterday where I just watched sports all day…but, Man U finally won a game so that was cool…and the Lions won again and that is just too weird….everything hurts again and this time I know it’s not the bike…feel fat and slow with being off it for 5 days now and I now need to shift into winter mode and cut back to one meal a day….and only two days of cocktails…have been coughing a lot the past day so I’m sure I have some sort of a bug but don’t feel too bad so I guess I’ll survive it….going to just veg it out today and take it easy so there won’t be much to talk about…I do need to do a few of these today so I will…more later…
