Well…as you can see, I’m four down for the month and am running out of days to catch up so there is going to have to be some cheating to make the goal…so, let’s get started….the Wings are just disappointing me with the late game collapses that they have been doing all season…probably won’t make the playoffs for the first time since I was much, much younger…not getting excited about the super bowl…might watch some of it for the ads but it will be home here and not out…need to be able to flick through channels and can’t do that if I’m watching with anyone…even Man U is stinking up the place this year and maybe it is good that I haven’t been able to watch them this year…would just be angry all the time with the lack of effort…and why wouldn’t you put in effort if they are paying you millions every year? I wonder if they don’t have any pride…I’m sure I’d leave it all on the field if they were paying me all that cash….hmmmm…okay, need to go start lunch but I do have another one for early aft about religion and how it is being used as a weapon even against middle schoolers…

Maybe some sports?
Well…still struggling with topics so I think I may just do one on some sports…maybe that will get my head cleared up a little…I do like the outdoor hockey that is going on in Detroit over the next few days…watched the GLI yesterday and it looked like they were having fun…the ice doesn’t look too good, though, and Michigan lost so they are playing in the third place game in a while that should be fun since they are playing State…and, the world junior tournament is going on this week, too and the US is in first place in their group…and Canada just lost in a shoot out..normally, I will root for the Canucks but not when we play them…the Wings have been pretty stinky lately but with Hank coming back tonight, it might be fun to watch…they need to start stringing together some wins or they might not make the playoffs for the first time since I have been following them….then, we have Michigan playing in their bowl game tonight, but what the heck is with the 10:15 start? Feels like one of the west coast swings that the Wings used to do and I’m sure I won’t make it through it…it is a cocktail night, after all….more later…
May 13th
Had fun out in Ada last night and finally won the night at pool after losing for the last 4 weeks. Kept it pretty low-key so I feel okay today but this whole not sleeping thing is starting to get to be a pain. Looks like no bike ride today and I’m not too motivated to work out but if I just get my butt on the machine and get started, it will be okay. What else do I have to do anyway?
I so have to say thanks to the Montreal Canadiens for knocking off Pittsburgh in game seven of the East hockey semis…go home and cry Cindy…I just hate these guys after we let them win in the finals last year. Still not as good a rivalry as Colorado used to be but it’s nice to have a team that you dislike. Could it be an original six matchup with Chicago and Montreal? Hope so…the Sharks have to lose but I didn’t see anything in the Hawks playoff perfomance that would give me hope…oh, well.
