Well…in a nice surprise, my ballot for the November election came in the mail yesterday….I am a little excited about getting it filled out and dropped back off but I’m not sure where yet…there are drop boxes right over on Leonard but with the assholes that infest the repub party these days, I wouldn’t put it past them to pour gasoline in the boxes to make sure the ballots can’t be counted. So, I think I may just take a ride downtown and drop it off at the city clerks office in person so no one can screw with it. Okay…that may be hyperbole..a little…look, you have heard me plead with people to get out to vote…and with how easy Michigan has made it with dems in control of the SOS’s office, there really isn’t any reason to not vote…and if you’re here reading this…you probably hate the idiot trump with the white hot passion that I do, and there is still time to get an absentee ballot if you don’t want to vote in person…but damn, you need to vote…just in this election…just this one…this one will determine the fate of this country and everyone should do what they can to save it….and that is NOT hyperbole…please vote….

Hey Michiganders….
Well…hey Michiganders…I know we’re all sitting around with plenty of time on our hands and I have a suggestion how to use some of it…with the new, voter passed law from last year, everyone has the ability to request a permanent absentee ballot so, if there are still coronavirus problems in November, or if you’re busy, or for any other reason, you can have a ballot sent to your home so you can fill it out at your leisure…and that means that the repubs can’t shut down your polling place, or move them or change ID requirements to keep our side from voting here in Michigan…I did it when I moved into GR and changed my address and the county clerks, or city clerks will send you the forms necessary to do it…so, let’s do this one little change that will keep the repubs from stealing any more elections here in Michigan…I know you’ll feel better for it…vote!
Permanent absentee ballots…
Well…with the coronavirus situation looking worse by the day and the prospect of sheltering in place looming for months, there is one thing we can do here in Michigan to ensure that we can vote this fall and throw this incompetent asshole and his cronies out in November. Due to a citizens initiative here ( and no thanks to the vote suppressing repubs) everyone who wants one can now sign up to get a permanent absentee ballot sent to you for no reason at all…it is quick and easy to do at the SOS website and, and you can change it through the county clerk’s office as I did when I changed my address to GR…and the city of GR did it for me when I did that address change. I know that some of you like the process of going out to vote as I did…but I’ve seen the lines that come with repubs closing polling locations and moving them, so to stick a sharp stick in their eye, I signed up and got my first ballot for the dem primary and it was 5 minutes to fill out and send back….and it got here about 10 days before it had to be sent back so no pressure….so, let’s be proactive and get this done so the repubs can’t screw with our voting anymore…oh, and one more thing…if you got the census request in the mail, go to the website and fill it out…it is important for all kind of reasons especially the re drawing of districts here…and lots and lots of funding for our state depends on it…so take a few minute and fill it out…I’m doing mine tomorrow…
