Well…sitting here waiting for the Man U match to start and just sitting here is hard and I really don’t know how to take it easy anymore…have the first ride in and the weight work done and now I’ll settle in for a couple of hours to watch the match then right back out for two more rides before the indycar race starts at 3…saw some really cool clouds at the beach this morning that looked like they were in 2D and painted on the sky…strange…I did see 4 more houses with Harris/Walz signs in the yards and still only 1 for the idiot trump and this is a quite conservative area…it looks like we have a major weather change here today with the low getting down to 50 tonight and down in the 40′s by Friday…a little too cool for me this early in September but we all know what’s coming and there is nothing to be done about it…just hope the heat doesn’t start coming on til the end of the month…okay, the match is starting…

Russia is starting to feel it…
Well…I think it’s finally starting to sink in with the Russian people that they are in a war…up til recently, people in Moscow were just going about their daily business but that changed last night when Ukrainian drones hit a major power station and oil storage tanks in Moscow leaving a large portion of the city without power…now I think they are going to have to pay attention to the air raid sirens from now on…how stupid is putin looking now? Ukraine is taking Russian territory and has been able to attack basically anywhere in Russia and match the drone attack by Russia two days ago…now it’s time for Ukraine to hit the Kremlin just like Russia hits Kyiv…and with Ukrainian industry innovating and building their own drones they can use without restriction, it’s just going to to get worse for Russia if they don’t just get the hell out of Ukraine…looking forward to more oil storage going up in flames…geez…
September 1st
Well…damn, it looks like the schedule of races and soccer matches is going to be a problem with getting the rides in today…need to get on the bike by 7:30 to get a ride in before the F1 race at 9…and that will take me to the Man U match at 11 that will go for two hours so the next time I’ll be on the bike is 1 and then I need two rides before 3…crap…I hate busy days like this…slept okay last night but feel like I didn’t and I need the coffee to work right now…I forgot to do the weight work yesterday and I feel like a slug from it so I’ll do it while I’m watching the race at 9…another month starts and the weather is changing to a low of 50 tonight from the 67 that it is right now…as long as the heat doesn’t come on, I’m okay with that….there is a big car show starting this afternoon to raise money for cancer survivors but I’m going to wait to go til tomorrow afternoon…supposed to be 1,000 cars there and it might be fun to see…have to remember the 100 sunscreen when I go…don’t know what I’m going to eat today but I do know I need to eat more…my ribs are showing and I haven’t seen that in a long time…more later….
We always have to clean up the economy…
Well…it’s one of the things I can’t figure out…how the hell can anyone think the idiot would be better on the economy that any dem? After all, he ran the economy into the ditch and put 7 trillion dollars into the national debt using the same policies he said he will do again..tax cuts for the rich and tariffs on everything imported that every damn economist says will shift the tax burden to the middle class and will add another 6 trillion dollars to the debt…do Americans have memory loss or are they just stupid…and the one thing they have to remember…after every repub presidency, the dem that follows always has to fix the damn economy just like Joe Biden had to do after idiot boy…and Harris/Walz ticket will continue the fact based policies of Biden/Harris that have made our economy the best in the world…and yet people think the idiot is better…man, we have gotten stupid…geez..
August 31st
Well…damn, it’s after 7 and I’ve just poured my first cup of coffee and that puts me behind for the day already…need to get two rides in before F1 qualifying at 10 so I need to get going by 7:30…got a lot of miles in yesterday so I can only do two rides today and not feel too guilty about it…Michigan plays tonight so I’ll be glued to that at 7pm so another night of no Svengoolie and there are lots of races on, too, so today might be fun…going to slather my neck with voltaren before I go out in 8 minutes….and my right elbow that has been hurting so badly that it hurts to pick up my coffee cup…damn, I’m getting old…the humidity has finally dropped out here and it’s pretty comfortable here right now…it was just so wearing to have everything so damp for so long…I may even clean the bathroom today since it will dry after I wash everything…I do need to cook today with no leftovers to eat and I haven’t planned anything yet other than taking some thighs out of the freezer…should make another batch of pasta salad but that may wait til tomorrow…damn, I need to get going…more later…
An easy day turned into more..
Well…when I got up this morning and it was raining, I knew the rides were going to start indoors and it really did look like I wasn’t getting outdoors for any miles…and I even entertained the thought of only doing one ride indoors and calling it good…but the one ride turned into two inside and by the time I finished indoors, the rain had stopped and it was drying up quite quickly so I jumped on the outdoor bike to get a ride in…that ride turned into two for a total of 42 miles and my easy day turned into more…and now I only have 186 more miles to go to get to the goal of 7,100 and I should get there next week since there is no more rain in the forecast until next Friday…not sure how I feel about that…I know it’s what I have been working towards all year and have thought about for years and I know I haven’t thought past it…not sure if I need a goal to be motivated to ride but I know staying active is the greatest anti aging thing you can do and I like the way I look weighing less so I know I’ll keep it up…not sure if it will be at this pace, though, since I do feel like I’m wearing out…haven’t had a rest day this year but that is another goal to be met this year…riding every day for the year…time for weight work…
It was just normal…
Well…after watching the Harris/Walz interview the other day it struck me just how normal it seemed…other the the interviewer spewing right wing talking points, Kamala and Tim just answered the questions, made sense, and didn’t attack anyone or lie…and I think that’s key in these times…aren’t you tired of the idiot trump? The ranting and raving and constant lies and attacks and every day striving to be worse than the day before? I think this should be a theme for the campaign…look how normal we are…and when you come home from work and turn on the news there won’t be any outrageous anything that would have happened…just steady, normal leadership and getting things done to make American’s lives better…we know that idiot boy can’t do that and aren’t we tired of it? There is enough stress in modern life and we should make the point that calmness is possible if we elect the Harris/Walz ticket…don’t you need a little calmness…I know I do…
August 30th
Well…up at about the same time as always this morning…okay, that’s not true…I wake up at weird times all the time but today it was around 6 or so…there is a nice breeze blowing through here right now and it looks like it’s not going to be light before the rain comes in so I’ll be doing the first ride downstairs today….we might even get a little storm and that would be cool…had the feeling that it was Saturday when I got up and that has been going on all week…with no routine the days just run together…I forgot to take food out of the freezer so I’m not sure what I’ll be eating today…maybe some pasta? Or a hot ham and cheese sandwich? Should probably look right now and get something thawing…man, it would be easy to just hit BK for a burger and fries but that would break my string of 4 years of no fast food…I just want to sit here and watch for rain to quote Pink Floyd….the sky here is golden as the sun comes up but my camera won’t capture it…oh, well…not much to do today…I am so tired of being damp with the humidity and I hope the rain will change that soon…I am going to sit here for a half hour and have more coffee and watch F1 practice…more later…
Blocked drains..
Well…when I got up this morning, I found that my bathroom sink drain was completely blocked and drain cleaner wouldn’t touch it…so after the second ride, I went out to depot to pick up a small drain auger and found a nice one for 30 bucks…to get at the pipes I had to remove the trap under the bathroom sink and found that the clog was right there so I didn’t need the auger…15 minutes later I had it cleaned and put back together with the stopper adjusted right so it opens as it’s supposed to…have had problems with that drain since I bought this place but now I think it’s solved permanently and I saved the 30 bucks I spent on the auger so I can return it next week…I did get the last of the lawn food applied to take advantage of the rain that is supposed to come tomorrow morning…okay, need to do the weight work…Oh, when I was at my water stop on the last ride, an old gentleman sat down to ask where the “beach loop” was that he saw on the signs so I showed him since I ride it every day…he was looking for a place to do rehab walks for some knee problems he is having…we had a nice chat and it was cool to talk to anyone with my self imposed covid isolation going on…
Above the law?
Well…as anyone knows, the idiot trump thinks he is above the law and the Arlington incident where he and his team actually broke federal law by filming a campaign ad in the cemetery…and the excuse the army is using to justify just letting him get away with it is that the female attendant who was assaulted by one of trump’s assholes doesn’t want to press charges because she fears attacks from trump’s thugs…now, this is just wrong…they still broke the law and it would still be a crime that should be prosecuted even if she wasn’t there…after all, the evidence they broke the law has already been turned into an ad and posted to the internet…and since when is it a private citizen’s responsibility to enforce the law? I sure hope the military trumpers let this one soak in and makes them think about just who they are still supporting…idiot boy truly is the worst person in the world…geez…
