Well…we’re up to 4 votes for a new speaker of the House with no movement at all in the vote count…so what do the repubs do? Call for another vote….the definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing but expect different results…but we didn’t need this vote to see that the repubs are insane…they have been since the astroturf tea party movement got started and the entire party took a lurch to the right and they are going farther and farther right as the minutes pass….I wonder if they can keep this up for two years? That would be a good way to avoid the bogus “investigations” they have been promising since they won the majority in November…one good thing that came out of this is that it looks like the idiot trump is losing part of his hold on what’s left of the repub party since he endorsed McCarthy yesterday and he got even less votes today….so, give it up kevvie…it looks like you’re not going to be speaker…geez…

Dumpster fire in the House…
Well…we all know what a dumpster fire the House is going to be with repubs running it and it has started that out already with just the vote for speaker….for the first time in over a hundred years no one was elected on the first vote and Kevin McCarthy is seething about it…he needs the entire repub caucus and the bomb throwers on the right just aren’t letting him have it and that is even with him giving them everything they wanted…positions of power that they should be nowhere near…and even if he is elected ole kevvie is going to be the weakest speaker in the history of the House…and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving asshole…geez….
A little thing that everyone missed….
Well…read about this last night and almost forgot to do one of these on it….in the last big piece of legislation passed that will fund the government until next September, there was a small part in there that is going to force transparency on all of the shell companies the the rich use to avoid taxes here in the US…and since most of these companies are created here in the US, that means that most of them are going to have to register who the real owner of these companies are…so no more hiding money laundering in shell inside shell…and since the idiot trump uses these kinds of companies to avoid taxes by playing a shell game with them, the IRS will have a nice new set of tools to go after rich cheats like him or they will have to leave their money offshore with no way to get it back into the US to use it…it will be interesting so see how much financial corruption this exposes…and I hope stops….

Well…as I sit here with a seized up back that has me heating it again, I thought I’d do a little comment on the whining that the idiot trump’s former staff was doing during their testimony to the January 6th committee starting with Hope Hicks who cried that she would never get another job in DC…and this was a pretty common theme for others, too…and all I have to say is good! After seeing felonies being committed for 4 years and not saying a damn thing about it, how the hell could anyone trust them? It was and is their duty to report the illegal crap that was going on every damn day that idiot boy was squatting in the WH and that they didn’t says a hell of a lot about them…they knew he was plotting the January 6th attack and the overthrowing of the legally elected government and not one of these whiners said a thing….not one of them resigned until after the attack when they could have prevented it by just going public with idiot boy’s plans but not one of them did…so if none of them ever work again is not enough punishment for them….some of them should be in jail…geez…
Elon sets a record…
Well…with the cratering of Tesla stock and all of his other stupid financial moves, ole elon has set a record that I’m sure he never wanted to….he is the first person in the history of the world to lose over 200 billion dollars…yep, he’s lost half of his fortune since he bought twitter and with all of the shenanigans there expose him as being a lousy businessman and right wing troll, the sales of teslas is cratering along with the stock price and even the price of used teslas is falling like a rock as his yes men at twitter go about ruining it. So, can we just admit that when you start out with 400 million dollars in inheritance and make some money from it, it doesn’t make you a genius or even a good person…it just makes you appear to be an insufferable asshole with how you treat the people around you…I hope he goes broke….geez…
Of course trump doesn’t pay taxes…
Well…with the release of 6 years of the idiot trump’s taxes by a house committee, we can see what everyone knows…that idiot boy doesn’t pay taxes like the rest of us. He even got a 13 million dollar refund in one of the years that he used to offset taxes that he did owe…a pretty damn good trick when he doesn’t pay taxes…and let’s just remember that his company was just convicted of tax fraud and I’ll be surprised once the forensic accountants get at this paperwork that there isn’t some kind of fraud in there that he’ll blame on his accountants…on other thing we should remember that the NY times did a story of where the idiots money came from and it was shown that he helped his parents commit tax fraud and then inherited all that money when they died…oh, and he cheated his niece out of her part of the money when that happened….so to find his returns done by the book would be the first time he ever did it….geez….
Elon Musk…super genius…
Well…I sure hope none of you guys has any Tesla stock…over the past year it has lost over 75% of it’s value and musk has cost stockholders over 800 billion dollars…so, is this some sort of elevenety level chess, or is he just some right wing asshole who started out rich and got richer by accident? His moves with both tesla and with twitter seems to show that he is not the super genius that he played on tv but just another hack with too much money and too many sycophants and yes men who he has surrounded himself with….and while we’re at it, let’s just remember how SpaceX got to be successful…it was all of the government contracts and subsidies it got from NASA…without them, it wouldn’t exist so no, it wasn’t elon’s genius but yours an my money that did it…it seems that people liked tesla when he still had that undeserved veneer of genius but now that people see the true elon, they don’t want to have anything to do with him…and I don’t, either….

Well…with the release of the January 6th transcripts of Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony and the fact that she saw Mark Meadows burning papers in his office fireplace at least a dozen times, the only conclusion that anyone on the right is going to draw is that it was all innocent and that the furnace doesn’t work too well so he had to do something…after all, he couldn’t have been obstructing justice by burning incriminating papers, could he? No, never with the squeaky clean trump administration that was one of the most law abiding in history….and since they were all so honest, I wonder why they didn’t just ask Meadows why he was burning papers in his fireplace? Oh, now I remember…they tried to ask him and he ignored the subpoena that the committee sent him as did quite a few of the trump cronies…I don’t think even Nixon was caught burning documents during Watergate…so I guess it will be up to the DOJ to ask him if they haven’t already…this has got to be obstruction of justice at least and he needs to pay for it…and before I die I would like to see someone held accountable for this crap…just like the two yahoos who were sentenced to 20 years each for plotting to kidnap our governor here in Michigan….all of these idiots saw the idiot trump breaking the law with no consequences so they thought they could do it, too…think again morons…geez…

Well…not sure if you’ve read about this George Santos character who was just elected to the House from NY…a typical repub in that he lied about everything to get elected but now that house of cards is quickly falling…he said he graduated from college, he didn’t…he claimed he worked for Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, he didn’t…he claimed he had 13 properties, he doesn’t…he claimed that his grandparents were Jewish and fled the Holocaust, they didn’t…and he magically came up with 700K to “lend” to his campaign when two years ago he was completely broke…so, where did the money come from? Lying about that is a crime and it probably came from the Russians since we know they had a goal of getting control of congress so Ukraine wouldn’t get any more support from the US…but none of these lies have put a dent in the support he is getting from the rest of the repubs…lying is part of the skill set that is required for the modern repub candidate and the base just doesn’t care if he’s one of the biggest liars and frauds ever elected….as long as he has an R after his name, that all that matters…geez…
It’s a slow news day..
Well…the day after christmas is slow news day so I am having trouble coming up with a topic that would mean anything in politics…I did get two rides in this morning so I feel good about that and will be reaching the new record for miles tomorrow and I feel good about that,too….it’s not snowing out here right now and I saw the sun for the first time in what seems like weeks a little while ago…oh, there is one thing….the special grand jury that was investigating the idiot trump’s actions to try to “find” 11,000 votes in Georgia has disbanded without any charges or indictments…and I’m not sure what the process is…I think the evidence now goes to the prosecutors to determine if there were any crimes committed…wouldn’t it be a nice holiday present if there were indictments of the orange menace handed down before the end of the year? Boy, I guess the old saw that “the wheels of justice grind slowly” really is true…especially in idiot boy’s case…even when it’s open and shut that he did steal government documents….and still no indictments there, either…damn, I’m getting tired of waiting for justice to be served…geez…
