Well…yeah, I know…the plan today was to take the day off the bike today as I normally do on Sunday but when I put some bread out for the squirrels, the sun was shining and very little wind so I decided to suit up and get on the bike for an outdoor ride…it was a nice one and saw the first geese on Muskegon Lake and I scared up a flock of about 200 ducks when I rode the lakeshore trail that is right on the water….they have opened the road that runs next to the beach already but it is still covered in sand and I know they are going to bury cars in the sand alongside it since you can’t tell where the pavement is…and it’s bordered by deep sand that is going to suck a bunch of cars in like I saw a few times last year…not sure if the ride was that smart to do since my right leg started to howl about 5 miles in but it didn’t get worse so I guess it’s okay….should probably heat it some tonight….might even be able to get outside again tomorrow…but the damn temp doesn’t get in to 50’s until the second week of April….crap…

Well…it you have clear skies tonight, go out an take a look up and you may see some northern lights…it seems that they have been seen as far south as northern Ohio overnight last night…it’s always cloudy here and there is rain forecast overnight so I probably won’t get the chance to see any if they are still there tonight…there was a big CME that the forecasters missed a couple of days ago and I have been seeing lots of photos of it on Mastodon over the past day or so and it is really cool to see it in person…so go out and look up…

Well…damn, I’m tired today…up at 5:30 but laid there in bed til 6:15 and forgot to set the coffee maker up last night and I really don’t feel like having to do anything right now…skipped going out for the paper today since I really can’t justify 5 bucks just to get the ads…will have to set up some bookmarks so I can get them all online in the future….only had one meal yesterday and I’m feeling it today even though I made popcorn last night…not a lot of nutrition in popcorn even with butter…bought a pound of butter this week and didn’t remember that I had a pound in the fridge already so I froze one of them and will probably freeze the second one since two pounds will last me two years and I’m not sure if I’ll outlive the butter….going to take the day off the bike today and just take it easy today and I think I need it after doing a couple of 31 mile days last week…getting towards the first thousand miles on the bikes but there is no way I’m getting anywhere near last year’s record…I’ll be happy to get to 4K miles this year and will make the big push for 7K next year….not much to do today…might clean some but I might not…right now I just need more coffee and to read a bit….more later…

well…after that last post, I really thought I was done for the day but knew I needed to clean the couch…actually needed to do that a couple of weeks ago so today I got the vacuum out and cleaned the whole thing and rotated the cushions…I always feel good when I do that sine this is an expensive couch that my daughter bought me and it will probably be the last one for me so I need to take care of it…

Well…it’s been a busy morning with doing the two bike rides, making lunch, and then doing the dishes…but I’m done for the day now except for tearing the couch apart and rotating the cushions to make sure they wear evenly….not having a lot of luck getting the seeds to sprout and I think it may be how cold it is down there…I do have broccoli, dill, lettuce, and some sunflowers but non of the tomatoes or beans have sprouted so I may have to get new seeds this week….menards have them on sale again for 10 cents a pack so I’ll make a run over there some time this week…I am going to try to find a political topic for later this afternoon but I need a few minutes of down time first…more later…

Well…running about on time today with waking up at 5:35 but staying in bed til around 6:30…slept okay last night and I’m just a little sore from the 31 miles yesterday and I’m not sure how many I’m going to do today…don’t need to think about that right now since MotoGP is on and it’s the first race of the year…something to have running in the background….it’s raining hard enough for me to hear it today and it is just warm enough that it is rain and not snow….and it looks like it will be raining until noon or so….just want the damn weather to warm up and have a spring….didn’t get a lot done yesterday but I do need to clean a bit today but I’m not motivated to do anything right now….man, it’s pouring out there…it may still turn into snow since it’s only 32 degrees….oh, well…so it may be a hibernation day for me today…I’ve done two 31 mile days this week so can I take today off? I guess we’ll see….more coffee is necessary….I’m glad I put the heating pad on my back after the outdoor ride yesterday since it is twinging right now and it probably would have seized last night….not much to do today….it’s 7:15 and I think I can take an hour or so before I decide what to do….need to figure out meals for this weekend but nothing appeals to me right now…maybe some toast for breakfast….more later…

Well…I decided to work my butt off today, so after I did the indoor rides and had lunch, I suited up and got on the outdoor bike for another 15 miles for a 31 mile day today…sitting here with the heating pad on my back since it twinged a bit when I sat down on the couch…I probably should put it away when it’s not in use but it’s just so damn convenient to leave it on the back of the couch…didn’t get anything else done today so I guess I better get after some cleaning tomorrow…it looks like the winter storm we were supposed to get has turned into a mix of rain and snow of around an inch so I probably won’t have to shovel Sunday…I am so done with the cold…oh, they have the trail that goes across the point blocked off for the next year so they can build their “affordable” condos that range from 500K to 2 million dollars…and they detoured it over some of the worst roads in Muskegon but I survived it and the brutal wind coming back…but I am going to be sore tomorrow….

Well…damn, another winter storm is coming for tomorrow night and I am so damn tired of the cold and snow…I mean no temps over 50 at all in March? Oh, well…slept okay last night but was up at three and then out of bed around 6:30 but I feel kind of worn out today…I did get my new earbuds yesterday and they synched up with my tablet pretty easily so I’m going to use them for the indoor ride this morning…but, I’m going to try to get an outdoor ride in today as soon as it gets warm enough….and that should be after lunch…didn’t get a lot done yesterday…no, that’s not true…I got enough done so it didn’t trigger the guilts and I need to do that again today but I’m not sure if that will be cleaning or what but I do need to do something…have to figure out meals for a few days and I don’t have a clue what they will be…I do have pork steaks for one but I’m not sure what the second meal will be…I did discover what looks like a good show last night on netflix called “The Night Agent” and that will give me something to watch for the next 8 days….not much to do today…just going to ease into it and read some news before I get on the bike

Well…it was another busy morning today with being busy the whole time and not getting done until around 1…started it out by hand washing the car at the car wash and then running over to Meijers to get some stuff I forgot Wed…back here to do two rides and then make lunch and clean up afterwards…took a little bit of time off before I made a light dinner of pasta and garlic bread…it was supposed to rain all day today but the sun is shining right now…thought about going for an outdoor ride but it’s only 41 out there and I just don’t want to be cold….maybe tomorrow….there is finally too much stuff to watch on tv tonight with having 3 shows on netflix and a new one that came out today that looks good that I’m going to start the night with that at 7 and then get into “Picard” and “The Mandolorian”…still have”Ted Lasso” in the queue but that will probably be tomorrow…I’m waiting for my new bluetooth earbuds to come so I can use them on the bike tomorrow…not sure what I’m expecting at 20 bucks but they got good reviews for the sound so I’ll keep my fingers crossed….

Well…running a bit late this morning with not getting out of bed til 7 or so and only woke up once at around 3 so that is an improvement from yesterday….and I’m less sore today so I’ll take it….got some work done yesterday and I’m going to start the day with more as soon as it gets light…going to go out to wash the car here in a minute and at least it’s not freezing so the car won’t ice up…the radar looks like it’s raining out there and that’s okay…will help get the salt off it…my new wireless earbuds are supposed to come today and I can’t wait to try them with my tablet….they probably won’t be delivered in time to use them on the bike today but that will give me something to look forward to tomorrow…it’s kind of funny that just getting on the outdoor bike a couple of days ago has my back halfway to a spasm and I may have to heat it again today…not bad enough to take anything for it but I can see it coming…this weather is depressing the heck out of me…I need spring to come…and soon…not much to do today…just going to wash the car and then come back here to ride the bike…will probably do some cleaning since the dust is coating the living room…and that is with no work going on…old houses are dusty…more later…
