Well…I was damn surprised to get a call from my dentist asking if I could come in today to get the teeth removed that we had planned for Friday…and I jumped at the chance so I didn’t have to think about it for two more days…it took 2 1/2 hours which was over twice what they had scheduled for Friday so I’m glad to have it done and be done with dental appointments until October 6th when I go in to get scanned for the partials…then 10 days and I’ll have them and this nightmare will be over…so there will be no meal tonight as I let the blood clot and the pain go away…my face is still numb since they had to give me the max numbing to get through and not be in pain for the whole thing…man, I’m worn out…and I’m having cocktails tonight…

Well…up at 5:16 this morning and I’m feeling pretty worn out so it’s going to be a chore getting going today…need to get on the bike by 6:30 so I can do the grocery run at 8:15…DD’s ad hasn’t updated so I think I’ll just stop there on the way back from Sternberg to see what they have…it’s going to rain and snow all day today and that sure isn’t April weather and it gets even worse when it’s going to be down in the 30′s for highs next week…this weather is wearing me out…oh, well…I read an entire book yesterday and have another one to do today so I can hit the library tomorrow for 5 more and I’m not sure why I’m reading so much…it’s a nice escape from the world I guess…don’t have a lot to do today other than the rides and grocery run and I can’t wait to have the day done…and it’s only 6am…might have to make more coffee today…I think I’m finally making progress on the plantar warts on my left sole and I’m walking around this morning with little pain for the first time in a year…damn, maintaining this old body is a lot of work…getting old is not for the weak hearted….more later…

Well…went in for the final consultation for my dental work today an have set the final 4 extractions for 9:30 am Friday and then have six months of no molars until I can get fitted for the partial dentures…it is going to be a chore chewing with just my front teeth but I’m sure I’ll live through it…I started and finished a book today and am going to try to do another one tomorrow so I can go to the library Thurs and get more books…and that makes 4 books since last Friday and that’s not bad…but I do have to remember that this is not a race but it feels good to read so much…I really do need to start looking for a new car tomorrow so I can get that whole process started…I did get some stuff done today with the dental appointment and two rides along with a load of laundry…tomorrow will be a three ride indoor day with the rain/snow that is coming in…I think I’m going to have to rebuild the drivetrain on the bike since it has started to skip over bumps but I have all of the parts for that downstairs and it will be nice to be able to adjust the rear shifter….okay…need to figure out what to watch tonight…

Well…that was a crappy night of sleep and I was up at 5:06 and need to get on the bike by 5:45 to get two rides in before I have to be at the dentist at 8:30…this day is really going to suck but I just need to grit what teeth I have left and get it over with…it’s only 22 degrees out here right now and there is no warm up coming for the next 10 days so it looks like April is going to be a lost month and spring isn’t going to come until May…and I have to not let that depress me like everything else seems to be doing…I do need to order a new prescription for my big toenails to pick up tomorrow so the grocery run won’t start til later with the pharmacy not opening until 9am…but I may run over to Sternberg to get started earlier especially if I have thing to get at DD…figuring out all new things to eat is going to be a pain in the butt but I do have some ideas and there will be lots of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies in there…I wonder if I’ll be able to chew the last blt I have to make today of if I’ll have to refreeze what’s left to eat later…not much to do today…just getting through the dentist and then reading looks like today’s activities…more later…

Well…have been pretty depressed all day with the dental work starting tomorrow and not being able to chew for months as they pull three more teeth and the we have to let the swelling go completely down before they can fit me with the partial dentures…another 861 bucks out of my pocket but I think we’re getting to the end of it…I hope…these endless appointments with my doctor and dentist are starting to get really old…and I just want them to end…not sure if they are going to pull all three teeth tomorrow but I hope they do so we can just get it over with…so I’m not going to feel like doing much the rest of the week…but I am going to have cocktails tomorrow to help me deal with it…didn’t get much done today other than the two rides and reading and no cocktails tonight since I want to feel okay with all of the work tomorrow…just want to get it over with…

Well…man, I’m beat today and it’s only 30 degrees out there and snowing and that is damn depressing…and it’s the last day of being able to chew for me and that is depressing, too…oh, well…won’t be getting 30 miles in today since it’s not getting much over 40 and I’m just too tired of the cold…slept okay last night and it is strange that I have been waking up on my back when I haven’t been able to sleep on it for 50 years…we had nice storms come through here yesterday and it greened up my lawn a lot but the tasks of taking care of it is not appealing this year…and I don’t think I’m doing a garden this year after the fiasco last year of not getting one tomato…or anything else and that has never happened before…I mean how the hell do you have 30 tomato plants and not get a tomato that is edible? Damn, it’s after 7 and I can’t get moving so I won’t be on the bike before 7:30 and I feel like a slug…today is harder than most to get moving but I know I need to…it’s only going to be a two ride day indoors and I may just read and eat my last hard foods and start to plan soft stuff…I just hate that my body is giving up on me and I wonder what is going to be next? Well…as I was sitting here reading some news this afternoon, I noticed that the little weather widget at the bottom of the screen said 60 degrees and cloudy after all the rain all morning…so I suited up and went out for and outdoor ride and ran right into a fog front that was sliding across Muskegon Lake and it was really foggy all the way from there out to Lake Michigan…I could barely see in the tunnel of trees and I couldn’t see Lake Michigan from my water stop…and the problem was that I was dressed right for 59 degrees but the temp dropped about 10 degrees in the fog and I wasn’t dressed for that…oh, well…I survived it and it was a nice ride to get me to almost 30 for the day…no Stupid today but he’s not out there every day…finished up the 2nd book today and I’m going to start the 3rd one right now…

Well…finally, back to the normal routine and I really did miss it…getting my first cup of coffee and coming here to do one of these has been my thing since 2010 and it has been comforting for 15 years…I did sleep okay last night and that has been the story for a couple of months now so I’ll take it…it looks like no outdoor rides today with the rain coming in and the fact that it is cold out there at only 45 degrees and I really don’t want to be cold…so it will be one indoor ride to start and then see if the weather cooperates to let me get an outdoor one in…but that means I need to get on the bike in 17 minutes and I’m not ready for that yet…didn’t get a lot done yesterday and probably won’t today but I’m not sure about that yet…don’t have to cook with lots of bacon for blt’s and the last bowl of Masala but I have no clue what I’ll make tomorrow…don’t have much in the freezer but I do have pasta and garlic bread and I can take some soup out of the freezer since I won’t be able to chew after Tuesday…oh, well…down to 13 minutes before the bike and I need more coffee….more later…

Well…up early again this morning but I had to be with needing to get three in before 11 so I could see some races…and I did get three rides in but but I got WET on the third one when it wasn’t supposed to rain out here until the afternoon…luckily I had my rain gear on so I stayed dry from my head to my waist but was soaked from waist down and I’m not sure if my shoes will be dry before tomorrow…it is supposed to rain heavily tomorrow so I may just do indoor rides and call it good sine I’ve had three days in a row over 30 miles…Stupid the turkey was alongside the trail today and when I rode by him he started following me up the hill at full run and a guy on the street rolled down his window and said “hey, do you know you have a turkey following you?” and I said “yep, that’s Stupid” and laughed my butt off…when I was coming back I noticed Stupid was standing in  a driveway across the street watching a guy unload his car from about 5 feet away…and was acting like it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen…strange, strange bird but very entertaining…okay, have a political one to do and wand to try to remember what the topic was….more later

Well…my site is finally working again but only on my laptop…some error on my phone and tablet but I told my son so I think he can fix it…I hope…man, I am so used to doing three of these a day that it left a big hole in my life…okay, phone and tablet are now working so I’m back to as normal as I can be…after doing 13,000 of these, it does become a big part of my life and there were news items that I was itching to write about so I have an hour to try to get caught up…more later…
