Well…that was okay for me…didn’t get out of bed til almost 6am but was up and down just like normal and I’m still waiting for the day when I’ll sleep though the night and wake up refreshed…it looks like it’s going to rain a bit this morning so I’ll be waiting a bit to get on the bike but I’ll still not believe it til I see it…I’m starting to get used to the new car and figure out how to drive it…and yeah, I think the car is getting used to me, too…I am getting under it next week to find the clutch slave cylinder so I can bleed it and make the shifts smoother…and I think the computer on it is finally adjusted to being used…I really do like it and I need to clean it again after ending the beach runs yesterday…still have lots of sand in it that will have to be removed with a tooth brush since it’s in everything…I do need to clean the living room and couch today along with the bathroom and I’ll use the time from not going to the beach to do it…but I may just ease into the day since I only have the rides to do…going to make breakfast for lunch today with a ham steak, eggs, and toast but I’m not sure what the 2nd meal will be…I just know I do have to have two meals today after having only one yesterday…probably finish up the pasta salad and then take the chicken out for Masala over the weekend…no rushing today…more later…

Well…after I got the rides in and the grocery run done, I decided to go out to the beach for one last time this summer…the weather is going to change and the water is just too damn cold to swim so I was getting bored with just sitting in my chair listening to the waves…and I think most of the rest of Muskegon is thinking the same thing with only two other people on the whole beach…I did get a little color that will have to keep me until next year…I will keep looking and if we get an 80 degree day in September, I may just go out but I think freeing up the two hours it takes to do a beach run will need to be used to do something but I’m not sure what that will be yet…I did get my new little rechargeable air compressor and it it really tiny but cool for 19 bucks…and it has a cool light that is white and red and flashes 2 different speeds…so I’ll have to get my tire repair tools in the trunk to go with it…okay, time to read again…

Well…it’s only 45 degrees out there right now so I may not get a ride in before the grocery run and I guess I’ll have to get used to that…the seasons are changing as they always do but I think it happened a little too fast for me this year…I mean I was out at the beach last week sitting in the sun and today it’s 45? Oh, well…I did get the lawn mowed yesterday so I don’t have that to do today…I do need to clean the living room and couch today but I’m not sure I want to…I’ll think about that later…allergies seem to be better this morning but they shouldn’t be so I’ll expect they’ll flare soon…not coughing so I’ll take that…need to pour down more coffee soon and wait for it jump start me to get the day started…I am going to put the top down on the car no matter what the temp is…hey, it all the way up to 48 degrees so I will get a ride in before the grocery run…after all, I got out at 47 degrees yesterday…I do need to clean the freezer at some point and with it half empty it would be a good time….more later…

Well…it was a pretty good day today and I got the lawn mowed after I got the rides in and made a trip to the library…pretty sore from that…I did see something I never see this morning and that was two cruise ships trying to come into the dock  at the same time…a white one had already docked and then a huge blue ship came and had to park off the pier and wait…pretty odd…my allergies are bad again today and I’m still coughing from them so I started to take some dm medicine that helps de-congest them and that may be helping a little…but, my knee is almost healed so I guess that’s something…it was only 47 degrees when I went out for the first ride this morning and it’s only going to be a little warmer overnight tonight…I really did expect the heat to come on and it just might tonight…doing the grocery run tomorrow even though I don’t need a lot…more pasta for pasta salad but nothing for the freezer…I’m finally getting down to where there is room in the freezer but I still have lots of stuff in there that I’m going to try to use before I buy anything else…okay, time for tv…

Well…damn, it’s only 49 degrees out there right now so the rides are going to wait a while…not going to put gloves on in August…so I may wait to go out until after I go to the library…or only get one ride in before I get more books…we’ll see…I am going to remember to toast the last bagel this morning since I have the time to sit here and eat it as I wait for the temp to come up…I am a little surprised that the heat didn’t come on overnight with how cold it is but I really don’t want to start paying a high gas bill already…my knee is getting better and I can bend it again…it has developed a bruise that I can’t understand after just having it pop the other day…I have it folded in front of me with no pain…just a little stiffness and I can live with that…what I can’t live with is being forced to change my schedule but I should be better at it and just wing it for at least one day…but that’s not really me…I do need to do some meal planning since the leftovers run out today and I have been thinking about changing up what I cook a bit…have a ham steak in the freezer that I could make with eggs and toast so I think I’ll take that out this morning…along with the chicken for masala that I’ll have later in the week…not much to do today…just getting the rides and library run in and I think I’ll do my weight work after I have the bagel to get started….more later…

Well…I know I’ve had it in the back of my head that I needed to buy an air compressor to keep in the car since it was not designed to carry a spare tire…and the old compressor just fell apart…so today while I was reading with the tv on in the background, a commercial for a rechargeable small compressor came on and it perked my ears up…pretty nice unit with a set and forget pressure sensor, an LED light, and a huge display…and it can fill 4 tires on one charge…but the price of 60 bucks was just ridiculous and then I got the idea to check on Amazon to see what is available and the same exact compressor was only 19 bucks…so I bought one and it will be here tomorrow and I’ll get my tire repair kit in the trunk of the car…pretty cool and now I won’t have to drag my pancake compressor out to air up the bike tires…it never got over 66 today so I left the house closed up and have been running the hepa filters all day to help with my allergies…it is working a bit so I’m going to leave them on until bedtime…other than that, I didn’t really do anything but read today and finished the 5th book so to the library for more tomorrow…now I need to figure out what’s on for entertainment tonight…

Well…damn, running late this morning with not getting out of bed til 6:30 and it’s already 7am and I just poured the first cup of coffee so it looks like I won’t be on the bike til 8 or so…and that shouldn’t give me the guilts but it does…it’s only 57 out there right now and it may get cold enough tonight to have the heat come on…in August? The low is going to be 51 tonight and not out of the 60’s for a high today so it appears that the beach is over for the year…my knee is hurting this morning and the voltaren didn’t do much for the pain last night so I think I’ll try an ibuprofen before I get on the bike…it looks like I won’t even open this place up today so maybe my allergies won’t be as bad as they were yesterday…it was so bad that I felt like I had the flu…coughing like crazy and that continues this morning as it did overnight…man, I’m feeling old but the extra sleep helped some…I can’t remember the last time I stayed in bed til 6:30 so I guess I should enjoy that a bit…not much to do today…I do need to get off my butt and clean the bathroom  and just straighten this place up some and I think I will after the rides…and I need to take the chicken out for Masala later in the week…need to get out of the rut I’m in with food but not being able to taste has taken away my motivation…oh, well…more later….

Well…crap, just pulling up to the garage door on the bike this morning and felt a pop in my left knee…have been hobbling around all day from it and every time I use it it gives me a little jolt and I hope I’ll be able to ride tomorrow…okay, it’s not that bad but my right knee has been the one hurting all summer and now both of them hurt…I guess I can take an ibuprofen…didn’t do anything but veg and read today and I got though an entire book and I’m going to start the last one as soon as I finish this…then I need to start weaning myself from reading so I can get other stuff done around here…it looks like swimming is done for the summer since the water is too damn cold and it’s only going to be in the 60’s until Wednesday…I can still go out there to get some sun for this last week but then the chair and towel comes out of the trunk until next summer…oh, well…back to reading…

Well…I very seldom feel my age but I am this morning…allergies are so bad I feel like I have the flu and I have no energy at all…this would be a good day to take a day off but I can’t if I’m going to meet the goal of riding every day for two years straight…damn, I’m coughing so bad today that my chest hurts and I’ve had a headache for a full day now so I am going to take an ibuprofen before I get on the bike…it’s only getting into the 60’s today and it will be cool til Tuesday so no beach time until later in the week…this will probably be the last beach week I have this year and I wanted to get one more swim in but it looks like that’s not going to happen and that sucks…I did read a book and a half yesterday and that leaves me with two so I’ll be heading back to the library by Tuesday…going to have to stop reading soon to get other things done around here and that is going to suck since I really have enjoyed reading the hundred books I’ve done since the start of the year…not much to do today…no cooking since I took too much food out of the freezer so some of it may have to go back in… and with how I feel, I just don’t have the energy to do anything….more later…

Well…I think my allergies are worse than the have been all year and I am frickin miserable…even took one of last two allergy pills so it looks like I’ll be taking some benadryl later…the damn trails are lined with goldenrod and ragweed and every time the wind blows through here they flare and I start coughing and my head plugs right up…if only it would rain that would really help but there is none in the forecast for the next week…crap…didn’t do a damn thing today other than the rides and reading and I’m going back to that right now…
