Well…damn, that sucked…up at 3, 4, and 5 and finally out of bed before 6 and my allergies are off the chart this morning…but I knew that was coming with the trails lined with blooming goldenrod and ragweed…feel like crap today and have a sore throat and it’s going to be a lot of work just to get moving this morning…not sure what I’m going to do today but the bike rides with no energy to spare…damn, have to get on the bike in 29 minutes and that is going to be a lot of effort…I did get some yard work done yesterday but I’m not doing any today…there is a little rain shower going on right now…at least the radar is showing a shower but I’ll look outside in a minute to see for myself…it didn’t get under 70 overnight and it’s going to be only a little higher than that for a high today…I just might take some allergy meds on top of the flonase today and then just veg out on the couch for the day…just feel miserable right now and need to eat something before I get on the bike…more later….

Well…okay, I think today was too easy and I’ll have to fix that tomorrow…only did the rides, out to the beach, to the library, and then mowed the front lawn and swept the front walks…water was still way too cold for me to swim so I was only out at the beach for an hour or so…didn’t have to cook today and I won’t have to tomorrow, either but I think I may have taken too much food out of the freezer…and I need to eat some pasta salad every day or it will spoil…I have so many freckles from getting sun this summer that my skin looks like my mother’s did whenever she got in the sun…okay, there’s a race coming on from Daytona so I’m going to watch that…

Well…man, I’m tired this morning but I did stay in bed til almost 6 so I guess that’s a win but I don’t feel like it…have 40 minutes before I need to get on the bike and just poured the first cup of coffee to get that going…had an okay day yesterday but didn’t get much done but make some pasta salad and that was the only thing I had for dinner and I know that’s not enough after two chicken tacos for lunch…it’s only 60 out there right now so it will be another fleece morning for the first ride…Lake Michigan turned over yesterday and it was damn cold so I couldn’t swim yesterday and I’m not sure if I’ll get back in to swim this summer and that sucks…have to start getting ready for the transition to fall and I’m going to try to get to the beach every day until then…the air was finally clear yesterday and I could see all the way down to GH and the clouds in the sky looked like a painting and all I could do was stare at it…pretty cool…not much to do today…need to go to the library for more books after I get the rides in and then out to the beach for some sun…yeah, a lazy day and I’m going to mourn the end of summer….more later….

Well…up and out of bed before 6 again today and it’s down to 61 degrees and I wonder if I’ll have to wear a light fleece for the first ride this morning…have 45 minutes before I need to get on the bike and I need to toast a bagel and have that, too….running out of days to go to the beach so I may go out there this morning to see if I can get a swim in…hasn’t been too bad of a year for the beach but time is changing and I have to get used to that…it seems that the seasons are more defined out here and change more quickly…one day it’s 90 degrees and a few days later it’s only in the 70’s…oh, well…I’ve been emptying the freezer the past couple of weeks and I’m all the way down to soup and I may have to use the ham bones to make more to keep getting the freezer organized…I did get a little cleaning done yesterday and I’m going to try to keep that up today…the bathroom needs a once over and I do need to get rid of the amazon boxes that have piled up in here….but a bagel and the bike rides first….more later…

Well…in all of my long years, I have never been summoned to be on a jury until I got one today…and while I was filling out the questionaire I see that by being 70 years old or older you have a get out of jail free card to be permanently taken off the jury rolls…so I filled out the questionaire online and checked the exemption box so I guess I’ll go through my entire life without having to serve on a jury…I guess getting old is good for something….

Well…up and out of bed at 5:30 again today and I wonder if I’ll ever sleep well again…on the 2nd cup of coffee already and will need to get moving as soon as it gets light but that gives me almost 45 minutes to sit and sip…it looks like my beach days could be over for the year as it’s not going to get into the 70’s until late in the day for the next week or so and not even out of the 60’s next Monday…brrrr…don’t have a lot to do today after getting the grocery run done yesterday so I really should clean today before I immerse myself in reading this afternoon…no rain in the forecast for the next week but we did get a ton of it Monday night and even had the trail flooded in spots…had a 150 feet under 4-5 inches of water and I soaked my shoes getting through it….unless it rains almost every day for the rest of the summer, my lawn won’t recover and that sucks…oh, well…going to get moving soon and just see what the day will look like….more later…

Well…just put the yard waste bag out and it’s still raining so I may have to re-think my schedule for the day and do the grocery run this morning if it’s still raining at 8am… but the little weather widget says the rain will stop by 7:30 so I may be able to get back on schedule and even get a beach run in today…I do really want more coffee but I’ve had my allotment for the day so I’d have to make some pour over and I don’t want to make that much effort…so I guess I’ll just sit here and wait the rain out…oh, well…

Well…it’s spitting rain out there so I’ll be waiting to get on the bike for a bit…but should still be out and riding before 7 so I guess that’s about on time…just poured the first cup of coffee and I’m going to have at least two cups before I go out…it barely got out of the 60’s yesterday but it’s supposed to get to almost 80 today so there may be a beach trip…but my schedule is disrupted by the rain…the forecast says 100% rain with thunderstorms but the radar says it’s almost over so I’ll just have to wait it out…I did almost get through the first book yesterday and I’ll finish it up and start the 2nd this morning if it keeps raining….don’t have to cook today with stir fry and chicken taco leftovers but I do need to plan for later in the week and I have no idea what that will be…I do have a dozen eggs and I could thaw some bacon to go with them for a breakfast for lunch but that doesn’t need to happen for a few days…not much to do today…just going to ease into the day an drink lots more coffee to get me jump started…more later…

Well…after getting the two bike rides in and an errand run, I really did take the rest of the day off and just vegged out and read…I did get 5 new books from the library today to get me through the week…it just barely got out of the 60’s today so no beach day for me…maybe tomorrow…I did get the trash packed up and out for pickup tomorrow and I have to remember to put the yard waste out as soon as I get up in the morning since it may rain and I don’t want the paper bag to fall apart…I always up way before they come to collect that stuff so that will work out…I did make the chicken tacos I marinaded overnight and I feel so bad that I can barely taste them anymore…not tasting sucks…I’ve already read 2/3rds of the first book and still have a half hour left to read so I think I go back to that now…

Well…damn, running late already and it’s only 6:40 and that sucks…need to get going by 7 so that means hauling ass from this point forward…didn’t sleep much last night and that is going to hurt later but I’m not sure what I’m going to do today…don’t think it’s going to be warm enough to go to the beach this morning but I do need to go to the library and then to Meijers to pick up a prescription for my BP meds…and do the bike rides…it’s only 63 here right now and I did have to close up the windows since it was a little cool with a breeze blowing through here…and there is a weather change coming with highs in the 70’s for the next week starting tomorrow and I can take a bit of that…the heat and humidity has been wearing me out and I’ve been wearing out the tower fan running it all day…I’m laughing that they have an inch of rain in the forecast for tomorrow and I don’t remember them being so wrong so long…that inch of rain has been forecast for weeks and it never comes…oh, well…need to get going…more later…
