Well…I know it’s the first day of the month but you know how I really hate getting behind here so I thought I’d just do one about nothing really…don’t want to do politics today…at least not right now…I did head over to the house today just to get the 200 pounds of dirt and stuff out of the trunk…I felt bad about how the rear of the car was sagging right down to the bump stops and didn’t want to do any permanent damage that I can’t afford to fix right now…so, I filled the holes in the front yard and put some seed down along with putting some weed and feed on the yard to see if I can start to bring it back this fall…and I pulled some more tape off the bathroom and the back door that I painted Friday…that came out pretty good and getting the sill plate painted made all the difference to how the entry looks…I do need to clean the translucent dropped ceiling panels for the bathroom tomorrow since they look like they haven’t been cleaned in 20 years….going to be a pain without the water being on but it needs to be done…need to take a bucket and a scrub brush and use the tub to do that job…still lots of cleanup and detail work to do on the bathroom since you always get bleed through even with the blue painters tape…then I can start on the living room and the bedroom I’m going to use but need to do more prep work first…lots of holes need to be filled and sanded…but not Tuesday…doing my swim then so I’ll take that day off…

Well…5:04 this morning and I am getting tired of getting up so damn early…and I feel pretty crappy to go along with it so today is already shaping up to be one I’m going to want to forget…not sure what bloomed over the past few days but the goldenrod but whatever it is, I feel miserable and stuffed up today along with every other damn allergy symptom so I think I’ll have to take something here in a little while…I did get two bike rides in yesterday and that may be why I’m so exhausted today…the second ride was pure torture and I never really got comfortable at all…so I think I’ll think about riding at all today later…it’s raining right now so that gives me an excuse to just ease into the day…I was going to take the weekend off the house but I needed to get supplies to work on the lawn and now the Miata is sagging with 200 pounds of dirt, feed, and seed in the trunk…will take that over tomorrow and work on the lawn after I get the bathroom put back together…not much to do today…if I don’t ride today, I will clean some around here but I can’t get stuff ready to take to the house since I don’t have room for it other than in the passenger’s seat…so maybe I’ll take something small….more later….

Well….damn, it’s cold out there right now…only 50 degrees and that is going to force me to wait for a while to go out since I just don’t want to be that cold right now…so that may set me up for only one ride today with F1 qualifying on at 9…and it’s Spa today and I don’t want to miss that…didn’t sleep too badly last night and got up late for me at almost 6 but that didn’t help…still pretty exhausted right now and I hope the coffee helps soon…I worked at the house every day this week and that may have something to do with it…and I have to get some topsoil, lawn food, and grass seed today to take over there Monday and do some of the repairs to the lawn I have been thinking of…after I put the bathroom back together, that is….and pull some more tape off the walls and finish that up…I am going to take Tuesday off for my yearly swim in Lake Michigan since it is going to be 87 and that looks like the last warm day of the year…and I do need to be able to keep my swim streak going at 61 years….I wonder how much beach is left in GH with the high water levels? Not much to do today…just the normal weekend day with some cleaning and prepping stuff to take over to the house Monday…more later…oh, and Michigan starts their season tonight and I am looking forward to that…Go Blue!

Well…I think all the work at the house is taking it’s toll on me after being there every day this week…I am sore and tired but am going back over there today to get one of the entry doors painted since it is so ugly, dirty, and beat up…and the door sill has no paint on it at all…so, it will be a short day over there so I can start to not hurt so much over the weekend…and I haven’t gotten anything done around here all week and I do need to clean some and prep more stuff to take over…I even slept okay last night and didn’t get up until after 5:30 but didn’t have any dreams and that was disappointing since I have had a few lately…damn, I hope the coffee starts to work soon or I’m going to have a terrible ride this morning…the computer on the bike started to work after a few miles out yesterday but I am still glad I bought a new one since the old one has been so unreliable over the past month or so…I did get over 3300 miles over the past couple of days and that gets me to about 900 miles or so to do to break the all time record and tha just might be doable…more later…

Well…made it all the way to 5:23 this morning and that seems like a small win with how it has been going….but I am still pretty damn tired today and pretty sore, too, even with taking the day off the bike…had a flat when I got ready to ride yesterday and then my bike computer finally died after acting really weird over the past couple of weeks…I couldn’t get one locally since no one carries the inexpensive ones anymore so I had to order one from Amazon for 18 bucks but that won’t be here for a week or so so I guess I’ll just have to write down how many rides I do so I can keep an accurate record of the miles I do…it’s good that I ride the same route every day so that will be easy….normally, I take Thursdays off working on the house to get supplies I need but I did that earlier in the week so I am going to put the second coat on the bathroom today and maybe prep for painting the entry doors and frames since the side door frame has no paint on it at all and it will make all the difference to get that done…so, another busy day with a late lunch since I have to cook some thighs I have had in the fridge for a week…more later…

Well…as you know, I had to buy a new lawnmower for the house and decided to get a cheap little electric for only 88 bucks on Amazon since the yard is so small…so today, I put it in the car in the carton to take it over and had to put the top down to make it fit even with how small it is…it took about a minute to assemble it since the handle just snapped in as did the handle for the bag and those were the only two things I had to do to use it…I was really surprised how well it coped with grass that was about 5 inches tall and the bag worked good even though it was small and I had to empty it a lot…but, it’s also a mulcher so if I mow once a week, I won’t have to bag at all…I do need to get my extension cord handling skills back but it wasn’t too big of a pain so I can live with it…and just pushing a button to start it is pretty cool….and getting the lawn mowed allowed me to put up some barriers that I hope will keep the idiots next door from parking on my damn lawn…when I got over there yesterday there were two cars at least 3 feet on the parkway in front of the house and they have left tire tracks and killed a bunch of the lawn that I want to restore…need to get some dirt and grass seed to fill that damage and some next to the driveway entry that is about 8 inches deep…I was going to paint today but I needed to take advantage of no cars on the lawn, and you know how I am with a new toy…just had to try it…

Well…running about on time this morning and slept in all the way to 5:20 and that is better than 3:04 so I’ll take it…I can’t believe how worn out I was yesterday after I got back here from running errands and I forgot to put sunscreen on and got scorched…that may be part of it but painting the bathroom had a lot to do with it, too…need to put a second coat on today so I can put it back together next week…it had so much detail work that it took me almost 4 hours to paint the tiny thing…I do need to take the mower over today and put it together so I can mow the lawn tomorrow…I normally take Thursdays off but not this week…just need to get everything done so I can get the water on…I do need to cook today with no leftovers in the fridge and that will put he first meal back til almost 2 and that is really screwing up my schedule…down to one meal a day and that’s probably not a good idea with all of the work I’ve been doing lately…I may even have to take an ibuprofen before I head over today since I hurt everywhere…again….more later…

Well…that didn’t last long…only got two days of reasonable sleep and then back to getting up at 3:14 today and then just fitfull tossing and turning until 5:26…and I am feeling it now…another exhausted start to the day…needless to say, didn’t sleep well, either, but I did say I wasn’t going to bitch about that anymore….I did get the new electric lawnmower yesterday and it looks pretty cool…probably won’t get to using it today since I spent the day prepping the bathroom for paint and want to get that done today…I did get the bathroom fan running yesterday, too so that is one last thing that I was a little worried about….and I got the grate for it brought over here cleaned up and painted so I can install it once the paint on the bathroom dries…didn’t get anything done around here yesterday and even skipped the second bike ride with the rain coming in…and that helped my bike sores some but we’ll see about today….I am going to get out here in a little while but it is still dark until after 7 now so I have some time to have coffee and read the news….might even have to make more coffee since the leftovers were kind of short this morning….more later….

Well…something’s happening here…what it is ain’t exactly clear…that’s two days in a row of sleeping until after 6 and that is really weird given my history of not sleeping at all…but, I’ll take it even if I don’t have the energy I had yesterday morning…feel pretty worn out today but I think I’ll get back into the standard routine for my days…so that means getting on the bike here in a few minutes when it gets light…had a nice day yesterday and I did get out on the bike tewice with no damage that I can feel right now…not too sore but I am still fighting the bike sores that I have been for three weeks now and that is not normal…have to figure that out soon…and why my right thumb hurts like crazy for no reason….I do have my car loaded up with stuff from my storage shed to move over to the house today and I have to remember to do that every day I go over so I will have all of the little stuff moved before I make the big move in October…the new lawn mower is supposed to be here today and I hope it is when I get back here today…but, with the rain coming in, I won’t be able to use it until Wed at the earliest since it is an electric and I don’t want to die doing the lawn….not much to do today…I do have to continue the prep work on the bathroom so I can paint tomorrow….so that means that I won’t get anything done around here today….more later…

Well…I wonder if this is what normal people feel like in the morning? got up for the first time around 3 or so but was able to go back to sleep off and on until almost 7 and I feel kind of supercharged this morning…have lots of energy even before getting much coffee down and it would be cool to make this  the new normal….even went out to get the paper as soon as I got up and didn’t need to work into moving at all and that was weird, too…don’t feel too sore today with only doing one ride yesterday but we’ll see when I get on the bike in a few minutes…well….not in a few minutes, going to watch the Moto GP race before I go out since I need to have my bagel and cream cheese and another cup of coffee…cripes if I continue to feel this good I may even clean around here today….I do need to hit HF for a new battery cut off switch since the one I have appears to be leaving the battery connected unless I turn the switch 4 or 5 turns and that’s not normal for how it’s worked for the past year since I installed it…and I can get another free flashlight and that will make 7 of them I have…I wonder what it would look like if I lit all of them at once? I think I’m just going to take my time getting out this morning and try to relax my self-imposed stress level and stop rushing around this morning….there really is no reason to have to keep to a schedule…at least today…more later…
