Well…there was good news this morning when Man U won and that was a good start to my day….have been thinking about something to do in politics but I think I’ll take the day off of that and just let my brain recover…and I did have a thought or two to talk about so here goes…when I got the last bike, the Motobecane, and put it together, I immediately thought of a name for it…I called it the corvette since it was so sleek and fast looking just sitting there…but that name morphed into the wreck as I wore it out and it started to creak and groan…kinda like me…now, after having the new bike for more than a week and getting some good rides in, the name that came to me for it was the magic carpet since it is so smooth to ride and eliminated all of the shocks that made me cringe when riding the Schwinn…and, after that popped into my head, the next logical thought was of the song “Magic Carpet Ride” by Steppenwolf…okay, if you’re one of my younger readers, Steppenwolf was a huge band in the late 60′s and early 70′s and “Magic Carpet Ride” was it’s biggest hit…I think you can…okay, just went out and checked and it is available out on youtube if you want a little context….so, magic carpet it is….
