Well…a few weeks back I relayed to you guys the breathtaking evil of Eric Cantor refusing to allow relief funds for the people of Joplin after the terrible tornado without cutting the same amount of money from the budget first. Now, he has raised his evil game to entirely new heights with his walkout from the budget talks that could ensure that the US defaults on it’s obligations. So, now he is holding the entire nation hostage with his ignorant fealty to the wrongheaded ideology that spawned the tea party and has at it’s core the idea that we are overtaxed as a nation and that any new tax is dismissed out of hand. Let’s not forget that math, the thing that the tea partiers really don’t know how to use, says to us that we are paying less taxes overall than any time in the last 60 years. But I don’t believe that this is Cantor’s motivation for opposing the salvation of our economy…I think it’s a naked attempt to maintain his personal power that will dissipate like smoke if he does his job; the job of taking care of the entire country’s economy by the inclusion of revenue increases in the budget deal since his entire base is made of the looney right that will abandon him if he even mentions that taxes have to be raised.
This is the kind of politician that has come from the hard right…one who does not give a damn about anything but himself and the people who can make him rich….kind of describes the entire repub party, huh?
