Bye, bye, Eric Cantor…

Well…I was a little groggy last night when I heard this wonderful bit of news and it really didn’t sink in until this morning…one of the “brains’ of the repub party got his butt kicked in a primary yesterday and will be out of the house in a few months…I am laughing, and laughing since this smug little shit was the face behind the whold idea of cutting SS and Medicare to pay for the deficits that the repubs ran on purpose to destroy the hated social programs that benefit anyone but the rich. Now, he is gone…supposedly not conservative enough for his party anymore…a party who thinks that anyone who doesn’t hate gays enough, who doesn’t hate women enough, who doesn’t hate voters enough has to go…but, the one concerning thing about this goodness is that the one replacing him is just batshit insane…who thinks that SS and medicare payouts should be cut by 75% and that the only economy that has ever worked is one that uses christian principles instead of economics….and who can’t even put together a simple answer to whether he supports the minimum wage…this might not be good…geez…

Just another one…

Well…have been thinking all day trying to get some ideas and they just aren’t coming…I did laugh about ole Eric Cantor’s great policy speech yesterday…and the fact that it is just more of the same shows that the repubs have run out of ideas…at least ones that anyone wants to hear anymore…and then you have ole Karl Rove out there raising money again…not sure what for other than to line his own pockets since this great political brain has only won one election for the people he has supported…and that was ole GW’s second term that was won with the smallest margin in history…I do find it heartening that someone in congress is starting to question this whole killing everyone that the president thinks should be killed with drones…this needs to be stopped or at least have some congressional oversight….hmmmm..what else? I am sitting here waiting for the snowmageddon that all of the news outlets are screaming about…possibility of 8-12 inches of snow over the next day so I do need to go out for supplies in the morning…okay…met the quota for the day so I’m not going to bore you any more…

A bunch of dysfunctional second graders…

Well…I have been watching the fiscal curb negotiations over the past couple of days with an ever growing disgust for the repubs in the house…I mean, after the senate voted nearly unanimously to pass a bipartisan compromise bill, the dysfunctional second graders that are the house repubs wouldn’t even let it come up for a vote with the mob of crazies blocking the bill being led by Eric Cantor who is only thinking of himself and his rich donors…everyone knows the little shit wants to be speaker and will do anything including destroying the economy to do it. The only good thing that is going to come out of this is that the approval rating of the repubs (which is at an all time low of 12% right now) is going to approach zero and they are going to pay for it in two years…but, the country can’t wait for two years to start to fix the problems we have…some adult needs come forward and put these idiots into a time out…and then we need to make sure there is a permanent dem majority that will act in the country’s best interests…not those of the damn 1% and the self interested repubs…geez…

Keep it up repubs..

Well…I am today still marveling at the gall of the stupid repubs and their delusion that they have any leverage in the fiscal cliff negotiations….they really don’t, but they are acting as if they have a mandate when they got their asses handed to them in the last election. But, you’d never know it listening to Boehner and Cantor…who has put forth as their plan the exact Romney plan that was rejected by the voters…they still want tax cuts for the rich and benefit cuts for everyone else and again, ole Eric came out today and said that Obamacare and Medicare have to be on the table or they will stamp their feet and hold their breath until they get their way. All I have to say to these idiots is “keep it up”…and we will control everything in 2014 and maybe we can even send ole Eric back to wherever he comes from…I do have one message to Obama…don’t compromise with these folks…we won the election an the majority has spoken…tax hikes for the rich and breaks for everyone else…and leave Medicare and Social Security alone…geez…open your ears and listen for a change…

Eric Cantor’s math….

Well….read an interesting article in the post this morning about the small business tax cut that ole Eric is pushing as a way to create jobs and there is some math that I’d like to point out that makes the proposal just way too crazy to be taken seriously….the cost to the deficit of the cut would be almost 40 billion dollars a year…yep, that’s billion with a b….and it would create around 100K jobs in total…or even maybe up to 180K but I like to err on the low side….so, let’s divide the 40 billion by 100,000…and the math says that each one of these jobs would cost $400,000 dollars…so if each job costs $400K in avoided taxes, and the real cost to the small businesses is around $100K including pay and healthcare etc., that means that each business that adds even one job will make a profit of almost $300K per job added (and $300K into the owners pocket and another transfer of wealth to the 1%)….just another case of business welfare that the repubs are so fond of while tearing down the safety net for individuals. When are we, as a country, going to say enough of this nonsense? Geez…

Eric Cantor is still an idiot…

Well….I just had to laugh when I read this quote from ole Eric: “I am increasingly concerned about the growing mobs at the protests”…okay, I’m laughing again just writing this….and this is coming from a self-avowed “protector” of the Constitution who probably has never read the thing…if he had, he would have noticed the little thing called the first amendment that ensures the right of the people to “peaceably assemble and petition the government for redress of grievances”…..what about that Eric? What about your precious tea party who were anything but peacable…with the guns, slogans, and chants proposing violent attacks on the government?

As I said yesterday, these guys should be afraid of any movement that wants to restore the fairness to this country…that wants to make sure that the political system can’t be hijacked by a few rich people or corporations anymore….maybe we can make ole Eric go away…

What a hypocrite….

Eric Cantor is still an idiot…

Okay, sorry folks ….this one is a placeholder for one to come tomorrow about Eric Cantor and his abandonment of his constituents with the refusal to take earthquake relief unless the dems cut social security…this will be a good one….

Well…this might not be as long a one as I first thought…I hope you remember the idiot statements that Eric Cantor made after the deadly tornado outbreaks that devastated Joplin Missouri…he was adamant that he would not vote for any disaster relief unless there was the same dollar amount cut from other areas of the budget…ignoring the misery of the American people to push his far right, misguided economic policies. Well…ole Eric is at it again…yesterday he vowed to not approve any disaster relief for his own district for damage from the earthquake or that to come from hurricane Irene unless the budget is cut the same amount as needed to relieve the suffering of those struck by these natural disasters. He has no problem cutting taxes for the rich and corporations no matter what the effect on the budget but he shows his true colors as a wholly owned subsidiary of big business and the rich by these actions.

Eric Cantor is a truly evil, evil, person….geez….

Another trillion dollar tea party tax…

Well….I hope you’ve had a chance to see that what I predicted last week with interest rates rising for the first leg of the tea party tax on the middle class has happened and there is a new leg to that story that is occurring as we speak….the Dow is down almost 400 hundred points and that means any of us that have 401K’s or IRA’s (and that is most of us) have just paid another trillion dollars for the tea party nonsense that held up raising the debt ceiling. Yep, but you shouldn’t be surprised…the republicans are always wrong on the economy…every fricking thing they do is the exact opposite of what should be done…and remember, it was the tea partiers led by Michelle Bachmann that wanted the US to default on it’s obligations and truly believed that there would be no effect…what do you say now Michelle?…what do you say now Cantor? Geez…what idiots….

Oh, one last thing, where are the jobs Boehner?

It’s been a bore…

Well…it’s been a bore of a day and I’m just waiting for 7 o’clock to come so I can have a cocktail and watch Man U and Barcelona play a friendly match…I have been working on a political one today but the nonsense goes on with the debt ceiling which is crowding out all the rest of the political news….I just can’t believe that these guys are wasting so much time on this non issue when the economy is heading back into recession…just like I said it would if government spending was cut while the economy was still fragile….I hope the tea partiers are made to pay for their nonsense in 2012 and they send them back to ignorantville where they came from….

One of the things I find funny about the tea party and its masters is how they act just like the totalitarians that they say they hate…in the old Soviet Union, threats were a way of life to those in the government and was the way to keep them in line and we see exactly the same thing from the tea party leaders…promising to “primary” any member of congress that doesn’t do exactly as they say; no matter if their idiocy will result in irreparable damage to the country…these folks just don’t give a damn about anything but the money men from the Heritage foundation, Club for Growth, and the Koch brothers…..it’s just un-American that 80 people out of the congress can take it upon themselves to ruin this country…

Where are the jobs Boehner? Where are the jobs Cantor?

Eric Cantor is still evil….

Well…a few weeks back I relayed to you guys the breathtaking evil of Eric Cantor refusing to allow relief funds for the people of Joplin after the terrible tornado without cutting the same amount of money from the budget first. Now, he has raised his evil game to entirely new heights with his walkout from the budget talks that could ensure that the US defaults on it’s obligations. So, now he is holding the entire nation hostage with his ignorant fealty to the wrongheaded ideology that spawned the tea party and has at it’s core the idea that we are overtaxed as a nation and that any new tax is dismissed out of hand. Let’s not forget that math, the thing that the tea partiers really don’t know how to use, says to us that we are paying less taxes overall than any time in the last 60 years. But I don’t believe that this is Cantor’s motivation for opposing the salvation of our economy…I think it’s a naked attempt to maintain his personal power that will dissipate like smoke if he does his job; the job of taking care of the entire country’s economy by the inclusion of revenue increases in the budget deal since his entire base is made of the looney right that will abandon him if he even mentions that taxes have to be raised.

This is the kind of politician that has come from the hard right…one who does not give a damn about anything but himself and the people who can make him rich….kind of describes the entire repub party, huh?
