Well…as you know if you have read anything about Ted Cruz, that he is one of the most hated people who has ever been elected to Congress…and this was borne out today with comments when John Boehner was asked his opinion of ole Ted…and, this is a direct quote… “Lucifer in the flesh”…”I never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life…and I have been able to get along with most everyone…” that just made me laugh out loud…I wonder how “Lucifer in the flesh…and the most miserable son of a bitch” would get along with the rest of the government if he got elected? Never mind that he would be in charge of foreign policy and dealing with the rest of the world…he can’t even get along with anyone here so why would he be any better at that? I am just laughing how ole Ted thinks that people hate him because he fights against Washington and the “establishment”…he is hated because he is a sanctimonious asshole….nothing more than that….geez…

Bye, Bye, Boehner…
Well…it was a little bit of a surprise to hear that ole John Boehner has decided to resign from congress at the end of October and I’m not sure if I should be happy or what…after all, he is going to go down in history as the worst house speaker in history but I think his biggest failing was emboldening the crazy, right wing vandal caucus to try to blow up the government. Especially when he scheduled 50 votes to repeal Obamacare to try to mollify them when he knew it had no chance to ever become law….and that it would just make the righties even more delusional, allowing them to control the House when there is only about 40 of them. What he should have done is schedule one vote, then work with the dems to get things done…just ignoring the bomb throwers. But no, he wanted to continue to be speaker and put his own personal status before that of the US so he allowed them to control him and at the same time, ensure that nothing would get done. I kind of think it may be like watching a train wreck for the next month…that you just can’t look away even though people are going to be maimed…bye, bye, John…
Working on some stuff…
Well…I know I haven’t been too topical lately and I am going to blame it on the flu and the fact that there is not a whole lot happening in politics right now…I think I’ve written this one before….there is one disgusting thing that happened this week in that ole Rudy Guiliani opened his mouth and exposed it for the sewer that it is…questioning if Obama loves the US or not…and the sky rained down with the dog whistles of racism that have marked the past 6 years from everyone on the right…not one of them disagreed with ole Rudy or even said anything that this kind of crap is out of bounds…going along with the blatant undermining of US foreign policy that is being done by Boehner…I would ask the question “why do the repubs hate the US so much?”…doing everything in their power to hurt the institution of the presidency across the world….and not caring about the damage they’re doing….that, to me, is not the love of country that the right is always going on an on about….and I think we on the left need to shout this every time you see one of these idiots talking about it…geez…

Well…I thought I’d seen the low that the repubs could sink to and then ole Boehner goes even lower…in case you haven’t heard, the repubs have now started to meddle in foreign policy by inviting Bibi Netenyanhu to speak in front of the House next month to try to undermine the nuclear negotiations that are underway with Iran. Nevermind that ole John has come out today and petulantly said “I have the right to do it”…this kind of crap has never been done before in the history of the country…and even Fox news has said that it is bad form and has savaged ole Boehner for this bone head move…and there is no secret whey he is doing it…the right in this country are really pissed with the results that Obama has been getting with negotiations when all the repubs want to do is start another war with Iran to reward their military suppliers with more no contract profits and to “show up” Obama…even to the point of committing treason or maybe “treason lite” to do it…there is no end to the things these idiots will do to hurt this country just to score political points….how much more anti American can you get? Geez…
It is to laugh….
Well….just read an article with a quote from ole Boehner saying that the repubs have no intention of impeaching the president, saying it’s all a plot by mean old Obama to get out the vote for the elections in the fall. As soon as I read that, the only thing that came to my mind was the old Daffy Duck quote: “It is to laugh” and I did laugh. One thing he didn’t say was that he intends to do it after the election…lying to the public again since he can see that even talking about it risks losing both the house and senate. So, let me get this straight….Obama is the one talking about impeachment and using his Jedi mind control to get everyone on the right to talk about it and push for it? Man…that guy is pretty fricking smart if he is thinking that far ahead…I think the more rational explanation is only that ole Boeher is scared of his own side and their rabid hatred for Obama and he is losing control of the narrative…or the truth is getting out and the general public just doesn’t like it….geez…
Can Boehner be this stupid?
Well…I really know the answer to that question but need to get a post out about it so I’ll wait til later to tell you. The latest talking point that the repubs are using to avoid dealing with climate change is just weird…ole Boehner came out the other day and said that he is not a scientist so he can’t discuss climate change or propose legislation about it. Think about that, the new standard for our government, according to the repubs, is that they can’t do anything about any of the country’s problems unless they are experts in the field….and the funny thing is that none of them are economists, either, but they continue to propose failed economic theory to help the economy…you know, the tax cuts for the rich and corporations that have never helped the economy grow or created one job. I truly believe he is so stupid as to propose this…to admit to the country that he’s not too bright so excuse me for not doing my job…a new low, even for the repubs….geez…

Well…it appears that there will be a vote on a clean debt ceiling increase tomorrow and I am starting to get irritated with the left starting to frame the action as”caving” by Boehner…who really cares what the reasons are behind it or what it looks like? If you have any feel for politics, the first thing you should be thinking is that we got what we wanted but we don’t have to further poison the waters by rubbing his nose in it. We should be thanking Boehner even if it’s just for show…everyone knew he had to get to this point with a clean bill but it also helps our side if we try to reward him for this behavior…one of the basic tenets of psychology is that you get the behavior you reward for…so, let’s take the long view and reward him for it…you never know, it might make his base so pissed that he gets a primary challenge this year…we can only hope…
Is Boehner stupid or crazy? Or both?
Well…another day goes by and another jaw dropping moment comes from ole Boehner….today, there was supposed to be a meeting in one of the senate offices of three of the anti-gay hate groups that purport to be the “protectors of the true family” here in the US, but the repub senator that initially sponsored the event found out what these groups really are and canceled the room saying he will not associate with groups that discriminate…so, good on you Senator Kirk. But, when these groups started to whine, guess who stepped in to sanction this hate…yep, ole Boehner found them space in the house offices and proceeded to cozy up to these idiots…hmmm…maybe idiots like to hang out with other idiots? These are the same groups that found that their hate wasn’t selling here in the US anymore so they went overseas to get laws passed in Russia that discriminate against gays there….and were instrumental in getting the “kill the gays” laws passed in Uganda that make it a death penalty offense to just be gay…yep, these are the types of groups that the repubs are embracing as their ideas are rejected by more and more of the US…I’ll bet ole Boehner would find a room for the KKK if they asked him…what a poor excuse for a human being…and, I’m still not sure if he is stupid or crazy…probably both..geez….

Well…with the imminent passage of ENDA (outlawing employment discrimination against gays) in the Senate, we had ole Boehner coming out with a statement that he won’t even let the bill come up to a vote since his “gut feel” is that it is not necessary…this, after he also thinks that there are already laws against this discrimination, and that it will cost business money, yada, yada…the normal fruit salad of crap that comes out of every repubs mouth whenever groups they don’t like are protected from them…and yes, in most states in this country, you can be fired for just being gay, John….just the same crap that ole McCain came out with the other day and it still makes no sense…oh, yeah, it does now…anything that would keep the business overlords from having absolute power over the country is to be stalled and resisted….after all, they are the ones calling the shots in this country….you and I sure aren’t….what a bunch of crap….geez…
Boehner owns the shutdown…by shenanigans…
Well..have been having a reading day today and one neat, little tidbit of information (another one, not the last one) jumped right out at me that says the ole Boehner owns the shutdown…he and his cronies (Ryan, Cantor, Sessions, et al) changed the rules of the house on the eve of the shutdown that took away the rights of all of the house members to bring legislation to the floor and replaced it with a new rule that said only the majority leader could bring legislation to a vote. Never mind that this has been a rule since the start of the country…with this change we now have one representative for 330 million people…and, with this change, we can see that the repubs had no intent for anything other than a shutdown. Now, we need to make them own it…that there is no role that anyone played but the establishment repubs no matter how much they are are trying to blame it on the tea partiers….these kinds of shenanigans should be prosecuted as sedition…as a person trying to bring down the government of the US…these folks should go to jail…geez…
